Wont be named thats if we have one till the end of month that's when silvas wages stop and his backroom staff and wilson, jimineze and all released players wages stop :it's that simple.

Didn't stop Benfica announcing Silva as manager or Wolves welcoming Raul back?

Fulham 1879

Why do Silva's wages stop at the end of the month when he's left? Don't understand that one. No employer is legally required to pay wages to an employee who's left their employment unless there's some termination agreement to the contrary.

Because managers and players are probably on Fixed Term Contracts rather than a normal permanent job contract or even a IR35 contract. I think with Fixed Term Contracts employers have to pay out the full term unless agreed. I'm sure there's someone who can correct me.

Silva is Fulham manager until end of June as per his contract, we're legally obligated to pay it. He's essentially just handed his notice in by saying he won't renew and then agreeing to join Benfica. Pretty much every contract in the UK relating to a football player/coach will start July 1st (or later depending on joining date) and run to June 30th because that's how the FA dictate each season running, so the contracts align to it

But what stops us from announcing a manager who will sign on July 1?  I suppose it would just be the risk that he'd change his mind?
