Diop departs

The Club can confirm that Issa Diop has joined Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee.

The centre-back departs after four years in SW6, a spell which saw him embody professionalism, commitment and dependability.

Diop said: "I'd like to thank everyone at Fulham. I'm grateful to have worked alongside such a great group of teammates, coaches and staff every day.

"I'd also like to thank the supporters for all of their backing during my time here – it always meant a lot to me. I'm proud of what we achieved and the memories we created, and hope that Fulham continue to be successful.

"Merci, Fulham!"

Tony Khan said: "In his four years at Fulham, Issa Diop has given his all for the Club every time that he was called upon.

"We have enjoyed many memorable moments from Issa over the years, and he was the first ever Fulham player to score in a League Cup Semi-Final at Craven Cottage.

"His strong performances at the World Cup this summer showed the player that we all know Issa to be. I am very grateful to Issa for everything that he's done for the Club, and we all wish him well in his new chapter at Ipswich Town.

It's been almost four years since Diop walked through the doors at Motspur Park, a place where he's been a very popular presence ever since.

He leaves Fulham just shy of 100 appearances in black and white, and he could never be accused of not giving his all every time he was called upon.

Diop netted three times for the Club, one of which saw him become only the second player to ever score for us in a League Cup Semi-Final, and another that aptly came on his final appearance, the season finale victory over Newcastle United in May.

We wish Issa the best of luck at Portman Road, and look forward to seeing him in the Premier League again next season, off the back of his excellent World Cup campaign with Morocco.

Ipswich sign Diop from Fulham
Ipswich Town have signed Morocco defender Issa Diop from Fulham for £8.5m.

The 29-year-old, who played five games for Morocco as they reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup, has signed a deal until the summer of 2030.

Diop brings significant Premier League experience to an Ipswich squad promoted from the Championship last season having played 173 games in the top flight for Fulham and West Ham.

"I'm excited to take the next step in my career at Ipswich Town," said Diop.

"I know how big the club is and have enjoyed all of the conversations I have had before making the move. I know this is the right place for me.

"It has been a busy summer for me, representing Morocco at the World Cup, but I am proud to be joining Ipswich Town and am looking forward to meeting the staff, my team-mates and the supporters very soon."

Diop joined West Ham from Toulouse in 2018 and spent four seasons with the Hammers before moving to Fulham in a £15m deal in 2022.

He played 96 times across all competitions for the Cottagers but only made eight Premier League starts last season.

Diop becomes Ipswich's sixth signing of the summer following the acquisition of Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu from Leicester for £20m earlier this week.

Striker Emersonn joined from Toulouse earlier this month for a club-record fee of about £26m.

Defender Cedric Kipre and forward Chuba Akpom signed on a permanent basis following successful loans last season, while goalkeeper Kayne van Oevelen arrived from Dutch side FC Volendam.

Fulham ready £24m bid to hijack Leeds United move for midfield star
Leeds United have stepped up their summer recruitment after completing the £34m signing of Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo last week.

The 23-year-old Bosnia international became the second-most expensive player in the club's history when he sealed his move to Elland Road on Friday, underlining the 49ers' willingness to back Daniel Farke in the transfer market.

Muharemovic is expected to fill the void left by Pascal Struijk's move to Brighton, giving Farke the commanding centre-back he had been searching for ahead of the new Premier League season.

Fulham ready to finalise move for Chibuike Nwaiwu
Fulham will sell Issa Diop to newly promoted Premier League club Ipswich Town this week, thus making room for Chibuike Nwaiwu.

According to a report by Turkish outlet Sabah, Chibuike Nwaiwu is the subject of interest from Fulham. The Cottagers are eager to reinforce their defensive unit by signing a centre-back in the ongoing transfer window, and they have their sights set on the 22-year-old Trabzonspor defender.

Per Sabah, the West London club will now accelerate the move for the Trabzonspor prospect, hoping to "bring negotiations with the Black Sea club to the final stages" in the coming weeks. The Turkish Super Lig club will aim to recoup €30 million from Nwaiwu's departure.

Who is Chibuike Nwaiwu?

Meanwhile, the Nigerian defender's progress has piqued the attention of several well-known clubs, and a move to the Premier League may be on the cards.

Premier League move on the horizon?
Fulham's interest in Chibuike Nwaiwu makes logical sense. While the Cottagers have a solid defensive unit, recent reports have linked a few players with a summer departure. They are worried about Jorge Cuenca's future, in particular, with Benfica recently joining the race to sign him.

The more pressing concern is Issa Diop's upcoming move to Ipswich Town, which will create a void in the central defensive unit. After a successful Championship season that ended in the most dramatic of ways, Southampton are braced to lose one of their key players.

Tonda Eckert's side achieved a fourth-placed finish after an incredible run of 19 league games unbeaten but were kicked out of the play-offs despite beating Middlesbrough in the semi-final after Spygate revelations.

The Saints possess several prized assets within their ranks, and their failure to reach the Premier League has resulted in interest in those players.

Leeds United have been fighting hard to land a player who has developed into an integral part of Eckert's side, but now Fulham are ready to gazump them.

Shea Charles was a man with vast potential when he came through the ranks at Manchester City, but as is the case with so many of their graduates, he has had to forge a career elsewhere.

The West London outfit are preparing a £24m move for Charles, with new manager Alvaro Arbeloa on board with bringing the player to Craven Cottage, according to the Daily Mail.

The publication reports that talks are expected to advance, although they also note that the Saints are holding out for £25m plus add-ons for the midfielder.

Furthermore, Leeds have so far fallen short of that valuation and have had three proposals with add-ons turned down.

Why are Fulham strengthening our rivals?
We're arming our Premier League peers ahead of what could be a tricky campaign.

I saw this tweet from an Ipswich Town fan reacting to the news that we're poised to sell Issa Diop to the Tractor Boys.

It immediately got my back up. "Relegation rivals? Pfft!". But when I sat back, I thought "Christ, he's right".

I was already irritated with the news that we're offloading Diop. He's improved so much in the last season and a bit, always impressing when called upon.

But I do understand the decision to sell. Ben Jarman has already highlighted the difficult decision Alvaro Arbeloa has to make when it comes to central defence, and with the reportedly imminent arrival of Nigerian CB Chibuike Nwaiwu, Diop might not be the only central defender to leave the Cottage this summer.

Regardless, if we want to create pathways to the first team for players like Luc De Fougerolles, then someone has to make way. It was never going to be Joachim Andersen, I wouldn't want it to be Calvin Bassey, and Jorge Cuenca's ceiling is higher than Morocco's newest recruit.

What I don't understand is the price tag - and the buyer.

First, the money. The reported £8m to £9m fee is too low - even for a player in the final year of his contract. Diop is coming off the back of a fantastic World Cup for Morocco - and the major tournament tax should be applied, as it will be for all other players who impressed out in North America.

It is symptomatic of our inability to recoup money from our assets. The biggest example recently is, of course, Harry Wilson. How we got ourselves into the position where we allowed him a season-long shop window to walk away for nothing beggars belief.

Communicate with players. Have a long-term plan for them. You know when Wilson's contract is up, so have trigger points in place to re-negotiate, take the temperature of the player's willingness to stay, and cash in if that willingness is not there.

Instead, Wilson walked straight into another potential relegation rival in Leeds. That is negligent from the club. Shad Khan talks so much about sustainability, but managing Wilson's contract and recouping some of our £12m outlay - or even making money (imagine) - would do far more to assist in that goal than charging children £60+ for a matchday ticket.

That brings me to the buyer. Ipswich are many a bookies' favourite to go down - and rightly so. They spent north of £100m with a far better manager last time out and still went down. I expect the same this season.

But we've given their survival hopes a shot in the arm with a centre-back who I genuinely think could make a difference at Portman Road. Again - it is negligent.

None of this is rocket science - so why are we so bad at it? Bar clearing the deck a bit, there doesn't appear to be much - if anything - in this Diop deal for us. Our summer business is currently trending towards disaster.

Let's hope things pick up soon - or we could be facing far bigger problems than losing players for pennies.

Former Fulham youngster seen as replacement for Swansea bound Joseph Opoku
HNB are reporting that Zulte Waregem are looking to sign former Fulham and Hibs winger Sylvester Jasper. With Joseph Opoku looking set to depart for Swansea, Zulte Waregem are looking for reinforcements up top. The 24-year-old Bulgarian winger Jasper came through the academy at Fulham, with loan spells at various clubs before he left in 2023. This past season he has been playing in the Serbian topflight for Zeleznicar Pancevo.

Jasper made his senior debut for Fulham during the 2019/2020 season, but would never add to those three appearances. Instead, he spent time on loan at Colchester, Hibs and Bristol Rovers. In 2023 he left Fulham to join Portimonense in Portugal, playing 29 games that season with two goals and two assists.

For the 2024/2025 campaign he moved to Poland and joined Slask Wroclaw, playing 21 games that season. Again, it was only a short term deal, and the following summer he joined his current side Zeleznicar Pancevo. The 2025/2026 season was the best of Jasper's career, with seven goals and three assists in 32 games. He has already played a game this season with the Serbian Super Liga starting early. Jasper provided an assist as his side beat Radnicki Nis 2-1.

His Zeleznicar Pancevo side are set to face Braga this evening in a Conference League qualifier. HNB suggests that he will then begin negotiations with Zulte Waregem over a transfer to the Belgian Pro League.

Cesc Fabregas still pushing to sign Real Madrid youngster despite new arrival
Although Alvaro Arbeloa was unable to salvage the 2025-26 season for Real Madrid after having taken over from Xabi Alonso in January, the Spanish coach has still left a meaningful legacy at the Merengue club.

His stint on the Real Madrid bench was particularly helpful for some of the youngsters from the youth academy, several of whom made their debuts with the first team under him.

One such youngster was the midfielder Cesar Palacios, who made his debut with the first team in the very first game of Arbeloa's stint, i.e., the Copa del Rey tie against Albacete that unfortunately ended in a 3-2 defeat for Los Blancos, and thus ended their Copa del Rey campaign.

After that, he also made his Champions League debut in February, in the win against Benfica, and his La Liga debut in March, in the 1-2 win against Celta Vigo. In total, he played in 5 La Liga games, 1 UCL game, and 1 Copa del Rey game, and accumulated around 100 minutes with the first team.

Going into the next season, he is not expected to remain at Real Madrid, as the Merengues want him to join another side to continue his growth and development
. In this regard, he has several interesting suitors.

In this regard, the journalist Joel Guerrero reports that the Como manager Cesc Fabregas is still committed to signing the young midfielder, and will do everything possible to get him, despite having signed another player with a similar profile, namely, Mattia Liberali.

Cesar Palacios had recently even reached an agreement with the Italian side, but a written contract was not signed. In recent days, he has moved away from Como. Meanwhile, Fulham, whom Arbeloa had asked to explore his signing, have yet to contact the midfielder.

Going forward, it remains to be seen how he will leave Real Madrid and where Cesar Palacios will be playing next season, but there is no doubt that both Como and Fulham will provide him with a very good opportunity to play at the highest level and continue his growth.

ClickHouse land on front of Fulham shirt as betting sponsorships end
July 22 – Fulham have announced ClickHouse as their new front-of-shirt sponsor in a multi-year agreement that will see the real-time analytics company replace betting brand SBOTOP.

The move comes as the club complies with the Premier Leagues ending of front-of-shirt gambling sponsorships this coming season.

ClickHouse branding will appear on the front of Fulham's men's first-team home, away and third kits, while the partnership will also include visibility across Craven Cottage, the club's digital channels, matchday assets and supporter experiences.

Valued at $15 billion, ClickHouse describes itself as an open-source database designed for high-speed analytics, with the company saying its technology is used by major global organisations including Meta, OpenAI, Sony, Tesla and Visa.

The partnership will also include initiatives aimed at improving access to technology education, with Fulham and ClickHouse pledging to support communities in developing skills around data and artificial intelligence.

"We are delighted to welcome ClickHouse as a Principal Partner and Front of Shirt Sponsor of the Men's First Team," said Jon Don-Carolis, Chief Revenue Officer at Fulham.

The deal arrives during a thundercloud period for Fulham on the pitch. The club will begin the new league campaign against west London rivals Chelsea on August 24, but do so without several of its star men from last season.

Marco Silva, who guided Fulham through three consecutive Premier League campaigns, has departed for Benfica, with former Real Madrid interim Álvaro Arbeloa appointed as his replacement. Whilst Arbeloa is a young coach having already operated at the world's biggest club, he is still unproven.

The club have also lost star player Harry Wilson to Leeds United on a free transfer, while Mexican striker Raúl Jiménez returned to Wolves following the expiry of his contract.

The latest claims elsewhere covered the Ligue 1 side's making advances. The outlet backs that up and states Lyon manager Paulo Fonseca dreams of signing Loïs Openda.

Their project tempts him and the French club have made concrete advances. However, the Old Lady want to sell to the highest bidder.

PL duo make approaches
Both Álvaro Arbeloa's side and the Toffees have intensified their interest in the Juventus flop recently.

Coventry City are also in the picture, but the London club and David Moyes' side are the 'most threatening' to Lyon.

The two clubs have better financial resources than Lyon to offer a higher fee and salary, and this gives Everton and Fulham a clear advantage over the French club to tempt the player.

Fulham pushing to sign Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid - Report
Fulham are in talks to sign Gonzalo García from Real Madrid, according to a report from The Athletic. This report comes a single day after COPE and others suggested Mourinho wants Gonzalo Garcia to stay.

New Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa is driving the move after working closely with the striker in Madrid's academy and first team. The two could reunite in west London this summer.

Gonzalo's future has been under discussion for months. Real Madrid had planned for him to leave before José Mourinho arrived, but the new manager wanted to evaluate him during preseason first.

Again, Mourinho is said to rate the 22-year-old, but cannot promise consistent first-team minutes. The decision has now been left to the player.

Exclusive: Fulham Supporters' Trust back introduction of safe standing at Craven Cottage
Fulham are the only Premier League club that does not have any licensed safe standing sections

Fulham Supporters' Trust (FST) have continued to back calls for safe standing to be introduced at Craven Cottage after a number of season ticket holders were informed they will have to move seats due to persistent standing.

Fulham have sent out letters to 10 season ticket holders to inform them that they will be required to move seats ahead of next season "to reduce the level of persistent standing in the Hammersmith End".

The Hammersmith End is considered the most vocal home stand at Craven Cottage and is situated behind the goal opposite the away end.

The letters sent to season ticket holders came following "extensive discussions" with the Sports Ground Safety Authority and Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

One supporter contacted Fulham after being informed his seat would be moved and was told that there would now be extra stewards in place of his old seat.

Despite the club's reasoning, Fulham Supporters' Trust believes that persistent standing will continue to be an issue until legal safe standing is introduced at Craven Cottage.

Fulham are currently the only Premier League club that does not have any licensed safe standing sections, with Crystal Palace set to introduce a safe standing section in the away end at Selhurst Park ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The FST conducted a 2025 survey in which 68.8 per cent of supporters who took part said they were in favour of safe standing.

The FST admit they "understand the challenges the uniqueness of Craven Cottage might present in implementation" but added that they would continue to push for safe standing to be introduced in one or more of the stands at Craven Cottage.

"The Fulham Supporters' Trust support safe standing in principle. We also accept safe standing is not for everyone so there needs to be a balance to cater for all requirements," a spokesperson for the FST told Standard Sport.

"We understand the challenges the uniqueness of Craven Cottage might present in implementation. We will continue to press the Club to prioritise finding a solution.

"It is not immediately clear what has caused the need to suddenly move 10 fans other than discussions with the Sports Ground Safety Authority and Hammersmith & Fulham Council over the level of persistent standing in the Hammersmith End.

"It is also not clear if any action is proposed to address the away section at the Putney End where there is also persistent standing. This will be on the agenda for our next meeting with the Club in August."

Tottenham and Fulham in tussle for La Liga player – Exciting talent
Real Madrid could hand Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham an unexpected chance in the transfer market this summer. There are fresh claims from Argentina suggesting Franco Mastantuono could leave on loan.

The 18-year-old only recently arrived from River Plate and remains part of Real Madrid's long-term plans.

According to Argentine newspaper Crónica, though, the Spanish giants are considering sending him elsewhere in Europe for the season. They want him to play regularly and continue his development.

The report says there is no intention of selling the midfielder. Any deal would be a straight loan. Real Madrid want Mastantuono to gain experience before returning to fight for a place at the Santiago Bernabéu.

London clubs in the mix
Crónica claims Fulham are currently one of the main contenders. The report says the Cottagers have already made an approach after a request from Álvaro Arbeloa, who is now in charge at Craven Cottage. And it is not the first time that reunion is suggested.

Arbeloa already knows Mastantuono well from their time together in Madrid's youth setup. This fact could work in Fulham's favour if Real Madrid decide familiarity is important when choosing a destination.

Tottenham are also said to have made contact to ask about the conditions of a potential loan. We have covered similar claims from Spain in June.

That link makes some sense on paper. Spurs have enjoyed a good relationship with Real Madrid over the years. Moreover, communication between the two clubs has generally been smooth, which could help if interest develops into something more concrete.

Plenty of clubs are watching
According to the Argentine report, Tottenham and Fulham are far from alone. Juventus, Inter Milan, Benfica, Sporting, Porto, Villarreal, Rennes, Como, Lyon, Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig are all said to have asked about the teenager's situation.

Crónica adds that Real Madrid have not made a final decision. They will choose the club they believe offers Mastantuono the best environment to play regularly and keep developing.

For now, the story should probably be treated with some caution, as it has yet to be backed up by major Spanish outlets.

Even so, if Real Madrid do decide a loan is the right move, Tottenham and Fulham are among the clubs being linked with one of Argentina's brightest young talents.

Everton And Fulham 'Most Serious Contenders' As Battle For Attacker Joined
Everton and Fulham are considered to be 'the most serious contenders' now for the signature of Juventus attacker Lois Openda, with the Premier League duo joining the race for the Coventry City target.

Despite only arriving at Juventus last summer, the Belgian has swiftly fallen down the pecking order under the Bianconeri boss Luciano Spalletti following a disappointing debut campaign.

Consequently, a host of clubs have become alerted to the striker's uncertain situation and begun keeping close tabs on his availability, with Leeds United and Coventry City among those to enter the frame as early as May.

A return to Lens, where he previously established himself, has increasingly come into focus, with fellow Ligue 1 outfits Rennes and Lyon also accelerating their attempts to lure Openda back to Ligue 1.

Leeds interest has cooled in recent weeks, while Coventry City have recently been tipped to be positioning themselves for a move for the Belgian.

In France, Lyon have also 'stepped up their pursuit' and are attempting to broker an agreement with the Old Lady.

A move to the Premier League for Openda could be the most likely however, with Everton and Fulham now joining the hunt.

Aaccording to French outlet Jeunesfooteux, the pair are 'the most serious contenders' given their financial muscle in the race.

Both clubs are considered to possess decisive advantages in the race through their 'greater financial clout and media exposure', factors believed capable of swaying the Belgian in their favour.

Whether the Toffees or the Cottagers ultimately emerge victorious in the race for Openda's services is yet to become clear, but their entry into the race is a worry for Coventry City.

Frank Lampard has been keen to scoop up Openda, but now has genuine Premier League competition.

The arrival of fresh Premier League interest will also represent a significant setback for the French clubs, who could struggle to rival the financial strength on offer, leaving the deal in danger of slipping beyond their grasp.

Meanwhile, Everton's hopes of landing Watford star Nestory Irankunda could suffer a setback, with Sporting Lisbon preparing to increase the amount they are prepared to pay for the winger, who the Toffees want to sign.

Ticketing Update: 26/27 Season
Following discussion with the Fan Advisory Board (FAB) and ahead of the new season, the Club is pleased to share an update on match tickets for the upcoming 26/27 season.

Home Tickets
Pricing for the Club's 2026/27 Premier League matches is now available. Once again, there will be five categories of match ticket prices, allowing for a range of pricing options for supporters throughout the campaign.

As per last year, the 26/27 match ticket pricing table can be viewed here.

Information about individual game grades and on sale information will be shared ahead of each fixture going on sale. Final grade classifications are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the match date and kick-off time.

The selling criteria for home matches will continue in line with previous seasons. In the first instance, home match tickets will be sold to Members, followed by additional seats for Season Ticket Holders, and then supporters with a Booking History/General Sale.

Memberships for 2026/27 are now on sale, and there's still time to guarantee a seat to watch all the Premier League action unfold at Craven Cottage by securing a 2026/27 Season Ticket, with a limited number of season ticket seats available to purchase in the Putney End and The Riverside.

Away Tickets
Where possible, save for factors beyond the Club's control such as broadcast selections, fixture date moves or awaiting ticketing information from the host team, the Club will endeavour to be on sale with tickets for away matches at least four weeks prior to the game.

Subject to change, the following away Premier League matches will initially be sold to Season Ticket Holders via the Club's current Loyalty Points thresholds, before going on sale to members and supporters with a booking history:

    Arsenal
    Bournemouth
    Brentford
    Brighton
    Chelsea
    Crystal Palace
    Tottenham Hotspur

All other away matches will follow the same on sale criteria as per previous seasons: Season Ticket Holders first, followed by Members and supporters with a booking history/General Sale. On-sale dates and ticketing information will be published in advance of each game, with as much notice as possible.

The Club is very grateful to supporters who travel on the road to support the team and encourages as many supporters as possible to follow Fulham away.

Please note that match dates, ticket prices and on-sale details for home and away fixtures are subject to change. Final points criteria will be confirmed for each fixture before tickets go on sale. Information on ticket sales and eligibility for home and away cup matches will be shared closer to each fixture, with details announced on a match-by-match basis.

We begin our 26/27 Premier League campaign at Craven Cottage against neighbours Chelsea on Monday 24th August (8pm) before heading up to Sunderland on Sunday 30th August (2pm) for our first away day of the season.

Season Ticket Upgrades
Part of the Club's discussions with the FAB included Season Ticket upgrades. We are grateful for the discussions and the feedback we received.

From this 26/27 season and going forward:

    The upgrade cost will depend on the price band and price class from which you are upgrading from
    The difference in cost will be between the relevant concessionary match ticket price and the relevant adult match ticket price.
    If a Junior (U18) wishes to upgrade to an Adult (22-65), the cost would be the difference between the match ticket price of a Junior (U18) ticket and the match ticket price of an Adult (22-65). For example, a Junior (£36) upgrading for a category B game in the Hammersmith End (H4 block) to an Adult match ticket in the same seat (£61), the cost would be £25.

Further to fan consultation this summer, David Claridge, Chair of the Fan Advisory Board commented: "The FAB had a constructive consultation with the Club about matchday tickets. Based on feedback from fans we advised that the Club rethink season ticket upgrades, which we see as an important and positive change."

Assigning Tickets
The 2026/27 season will see new Premier League requirements implemented for assigning tickets to supporters, with every seat sold being assigned to the individual who intends on attending the related match. Each attendee's name and contact details must be registered with the club.

This means if a supporter purchases four tickets for a fixture, each ticket will need to be assigned to a unique client reference number. In the instance of a Season Ticket Holder purchasing additional tickets during their priority window, each ticket that they are purchasing will need to be assigned to each individual who intends on attending the related match.

We therefore encourage all supporters planning on attending fixtures at Craven Cottage to update their friends and family network ahead of the start of the season to ensure they can easily assign tickets at the point of purchase. The brand new Fulham away shirt for the forthcoming 2026/27 Premier League season appears to have been leaked online – with new digital mock-ups of the kit emerging ahead of the kit's official release.

Footy Headlines have mocked up an image of the brand new jersey based on alleged inside information, which suggests a throwback to a fan favourite from days gone by. 3 Added Minutes has been unable to independently verify the supposed leak.

What Fulham's new away kit for the 2026/27 season looks like - according to leaks



The digital render of the new shirt – which can be seen in the social media post above on the right – suggests that Fulham's away kit will feature a distinctive red and black checkerboard design last seen on their kit 20 years ago.

The kit is a callback to the club's change strip from the 1996/97 season, on the left of the social media image above, when Fulham were back in the old Division Three – a very different era for Fulham, but the kit was a firm favourite with supporters at the time.

There are some difference between the original, which was designed by Le Coq Sportif, and the new kit which is produced by Adidas. The squares on the design are much chunkier than they were two decades ago, and the new jersey also features flashes of white on the collar and sleeves, as well as across the shoulders which will be emblazoned with the three stripes found on most Adidas kits. The collar has changed too, going from black to red.

The club crest and manufacturer's logo – in this case Adidas' alternate trefoil badge – occupy the usual places on the chest while the new front-of-shirt sponsor will be picked out in white text.

It must be noted that the render is not a genuine image of the finished product and small differences can be expected when the shirt is released – assuming that the leak is indeed accurate as expected. The official launch date for the new shirt is not yet known.

The Real Madrid Star Alvaro Arbeloa Is 'Pursuing' at Fulham
The Spaniard has his sights set on signing one of his favorite players from the Bernabéu

Real Madrid striker Gonzalo García is reportedly in talks to join Fulham, where he would reunite with former boss Álvaro Arbeloa.

European clubs have circled Gonzalo ever since his breakout performance at last summer's Club World Cup, but Los Blancos were unwilling to part ways with the youngster, keeping him with the first team to serve as Kylian Mbappé's backup while Endrick was out on loan at Lyon.

Much of Gonzalo's ascent was facilitated by Xabi Alonso and Arbeloa, making the Premier League the most obvious destination for the No. 9 should he green light a transfer out of the Spanish capital. But while Chelsea were closing a record deal for Morgan Rogers, Fulham were working on a much more understated move for Gonzalo.

The Athletic report Arbeloa is "actively" pursuing the 22-year-old he mentored both at Real Madrid Castilla and then with the first team. Talks are progressing between Gonzalo and Fulham, with the final decision ultimately coming down to the player.

New Real Madrid boss José Mourinho "liked" what he saw from Gonzalo, but could not guarantee a "prominent role" for the striker next season, seemingly pushing him out the door to Craven Cottage.

Fellow Real Madrid Outcast Could Join Gonzalo at Fulham
Arbeloa's active approach to sign Gonzalo makes it clear the striker is his top priority. The 22-year-old scored 13 goals in 51 appearances with the Real Madrid first team after attracting attention for his stellar 2023–24 campaign with Castilla in which he scored a record 25 goals.

Gonzalo could be just the first Real Madrid player Arbeloa entices to west London, though. Recent reports indicate Franco Mastantuono is on Fulham's radar. The Argentine joined Real Madrid last summer and struggled to gain any foothold in the team, scoring just three goals in 35 appearances.

There's a widespread belief that sending Mastantuono out on loan would be the most beneficial path for the winger to develop and grow, as opposed to him wasting away on the bench, scrapping for minuscule minutes in already decided games.

Reuniting with Arbeloa could be a tempting prospect, especially if Mastantuono already knows a familiar face in Gonzalo. Fulham, meanwhile, would do well with another attacking reinforcement after bidding farewell to Raúl Jiménez.

As Real Madrid gear up for a transformative season ahead, there is much uncertainty surrounding the future of Franco Mastantuono.

The Argentine joined the club with much expectations, but his debut campaign at Santiago Bernabeu ended in disappointment.

With Real Madrid also signing Bernardo Silva in the summer and Endrick returning from his loan deal, Mastantuono has been linked with a loan move elsewhere.

Fulham interested but Real Madrid have doubts
According to Diario AS, Fulham have registered interest in Mastantuono, with the English club keen on signing the player on a loan deal.

This is hardly surprising given that Fulham have hired Alvaro Arbeloa as the new head coach. Arbeloa worked with Mastantuono last season at Real Madrid, though he did not really utilise his qualities much.

At Fulham, Arbeloa believes Mastantuono could be an excellent addition as Fulham look for a higher mid-table finish heading into the new season.

The Argentine has certainly shown the quality and the potential during his time at River Plate and Fulham could be the ideal platform for him to shine.

Real Madrid are skeptical
Real Madrid, though, are not entirely convinced by the proposal. Fulham's preference is for a loan with an option to buy at the end of the season, but Los Blancos are hesitant.

The club continue to believe Mastantuono possesses enormous potential, and the prospect of handing another side the opportunity to sign him permanently after just one campaign is not one they are comfortable with.

Having invested €63.2 million to bring him from River Plate last summer, Real Madrid are reluctant to risk losing control of a player they still regard as a long-term asset.

Fulham are not the only club to have made contact either. River Plate, his boyhood side, and Como have both enquired about a possible loan move, giving Real Madrid alternatives should they ultimately sanction a temporary exit.

Interestingly, Mastantuono's own representatives are said to be worried about the prospect of a loan altogether.

Their concern stems from a familiar pattern at the Bernabeu, where very few players sent out on loan have subsequently managed to establish themselves in the first team upon their return.

Fulham have opened talks with Real Madrid over deals for Gonzalo and Franco Mastantuono to move to Craven Cottage this summer.

Fulham target Gonzalo
The newspaper explains that Real Madrid's squad is in the early stages of their pre-season preparations and several players have yet to resolve their futures.

Gonzalo and Franco Mastantuono represent two of the trickiest situations in the squad. Jose Mourinho wants to assess both players during pre-season before openly discussing the role that they may play in his new project.

But there are competing interests, specifically from Fulham. They are pushing hard to bring both players to the Premier League. Talks regarding both potential signings are already underway. Alvaro Arbeloa firmly has his sights on his old club.

The move for Gonzalo is 'particularly significant'. Fulham want to sign him permanently and are preparing an offer designed to tempt Real Madrid. The player, though, wants to try and convince Mourinho during the summer before deciding upon his future.

He knows he would have to share minutes with Kylian Mbappé and Endrick, which could push him to the Premier League. Playing in England is a dream for him. Working under Arbeloa again, after he backed him at Real Marid, would work in this regard.

Need to convince Mastantuono
Franco Mastantuono faces a similar situacion. Competition is fiercest on Madrid's right-flank. He has to compete with Arda Guler, Brahim Diaz and Rodrygo. But his representatives are worried about a loan deal as few players loaned out by Madrid have gone on to succeed at the club.

That puts Fulham at a disadvantage as they are proposing a loan deal with an option to buy after one season. Real Madrid are reluctant to lose control of the Argentine, though. They believe the 18-year-old is nowhere near to fulfilling his potential.

So, they would be reluctant to agree to any sort of deal with a future purchase. Fulham, it seems, have work to do on that potential deal and the one for Gonzalo. But the latter is more obtainable at this moment in time.
