Many fans were calling out our board for taking too long on the manager process.

We've now signed up arbeloa,

Then howe has walked out.

So, who would, and please be honest, have preferred us waiting that bit longer so we could of tried to bring in howe?

(Personally I'm not his biggest fan but even i believe howe would have been less risk than arbeloa. I do also think arbeloa could have a potentially higher celing but he is very unproven while howe is a safe pair of hands.)

Fulham 442

Tbh it's all water under the bridge now, as much of life is...

I'm happy with the risk we've taken. I've no idea if it will pay off... but asking me amidst signing Real Madrids big up and coming prospect they call "raul regen" I'm willing to take the path unknown on this one.

It felt like the right time to take a risk. For me if Poch wasn't available, I was up for saying f it let's give this a shot

Howe is a very good manager and I'd be happy see him at Fulham but that ship has sailed. I'm excited to see where Arbeloa takes us and the rumoured signings today, coupled with the new managers style of play enforce that feeling.

Enjoying the positive thoughts so far. Quite suprised really coz the media paint howe in a light of being loved by the wider public.

Also liking the agreement in that arbeloa is a potential higher calibre but with that risk factor!

Purely on question asked I would have gone Howe. He does tend to go a bit stale after a few years but could not see us getting dragged into relegation scraps.
Arbeloa might end up being a good choice but still think a huge risk taken by the club to appoint him. We will know relatively quickly probably by end of October if appointment was inspired?
The other issue which I could see is Howe unlikely to accept our footballing infrastructure!

Eddie howe played in my 5 aside team in the v late 90s one summer. One of the worst Pro footballers I've ever seen. But a very nice fella.

Haha I love these! My, much older than me, cousin played sunday league with nick barmby and he always says similar, describing him as a mostly unused substitute. 😂
