Big news coming out Eddie Howe has left Newcastle and being replaced by Matthias Jaissle.

Not surprising , Newcastle fans have been unhappy with him for a while with their style of football and bizarre tactics.. Mainly signing woltemade, watching him score and dominate as a striker then moving him to midfield ..

He's a victim of his own success in some ways, plus an example of the impact of PSR/SCR etc on ambitious clubs. Forced to sell his best players despite wealthy ownership. He won't be out of a job for long and I wonder if the pressure on Tuchel will ramp up now Howe is available.

Good point, that must be gutting for them. That being said I don't think he'd have become the player he is if he hadn't moved. He was well down the pecking order back then.

I think he wanted to quit before he went on holiday and the board asked him to re-consider. Howe came back from holiday, said he hadn't changed his mind but agreed to stay on until a new manager was appointed, oversaw the terrible performance and defeat away to Bristol City (4-1) carried on with a couple of training sessions and the club then made the announcement. Eddie Howe has had five good years but now time for a re-boot....especially after letting Gordon and Tonali leave and unable to change the mind of wantaway Brazilian, Guimaraes.

A really good, decent manager who hopefully will replace Tuchel as England manager when the FA get rid of the Kraut.
