Going to be hard to call their bluff,
when they own all the cards.

Sorry but what cards are those exactly?

The same cards they held that let them rack up
114 charges.
If they want they will bring it all crashing down,
they know exactly where the skeletons are buried.

So nothing specific then. From an economic perspective most UAE oil goes to Asia, for defence they are quite heavily reliant on the west, trading wise the UAE is a very tiny proportion of our import and export trade. It's true that the UAE wealth funds have invested in the UK e.g. in property (and our bloody privatised utilities!!), but I would be surprised if they liquidated all those investments. Yes the UAE is an important ally and our strong relationship is politically important. But the UAE government has always been quite pragmatic so I doubt that would change. Personally I would expect one or two limited repercussions just as a token gesture.  I say all this having lived and worked there for almost ten years BUT who knows I might be horribly wrong!
