You know, it really does seem to be a characteristic of English speaking peoples that when we lose we accept defeat and look for a way to win the next time. So many cultures sulk & whine. We see it with this dudes comments & I'm sick to death of it from the Mexican National team. They don't beat us in a meaningful game in ten years and it's due to bad refs and luck. When it's all said & done, some kid in 2020 will look at the Europa results from 2010 & it will say Fulham advanced. There will be no sidebar of excuses.
They couldn't break us down. Had they won first at home and than came to the Cottage would they have played defensively? You bet your life they would have.

Nonsense like this make me appreciate Roy all the more. Always humble in defeat and gracious to the victors. A real sign of weakness is to place the blame on others when it's the match that separates the winners from the loosers. We beat them over two legs and they should admit that Fulham were the better team in this series, not that both refs were "against us." Grow a pair and move on!
