If it had been the end of the month i'd probably be able to do it, but with this crap weather i just haven't earnt any money for a while. Hopefully i'll be out doing a bit next week, but it will only be a little bit if any and i reckon i'd need a least £500 for the trip. By the way drink is quite expensive, in Rome the cheapest pint i found was 4.5 Euros, but mostly 6 Euros. A single Vodka red bull was 8.5 Euros in the cheapest bar. I will be saving hard for the next round though, anyone know when that is? Also anouther option apart from flying to Milan like K Cat mentioned is a 12 hour drive. If you look on Via Michelin they map out the route and costs. With petrol and tolls you're looking at roughly £400, plus the cost of the tunnel which if you go at a less than civilised time is quite cheap. Get five of you in a motor and it's an option worth looking at.

Im with you, after shelling out on trips to Rome and Basel I will have to give this one a miss, hopefully we get through to the last 8 when my funds will be back on track again. :-[

Turin is not the greatest of places but should still be a good experience, my Arsenal workmate said that they tend to shut the Bars in the town before and after european matches but if you get a hotel with a bar then its not a problem.

regarding the driving thing, i must point out that if your driving at night time i think you have to get yellow headlights (SilverFox will be sure to know) and you have to have high vis vests a triangle thing in case of breakdowns. I'm assured the Frogs are quite hot on this and as you can imagine love to pull an English motor over. We drove over to Le Touqet for the Espanyol game a few years back and despite being very p1ssed and going around roundabouts the wrong way we had no problems, but better safe than sorry.

No yellow headlights anymore, Fredster. You do need a triangle and flourescent vest thingy in the car though.
For once, its an away game that isn't too far for me. Its only a 3 1/2 hour drive from here to Turin (got me coat on already). Mind you, if Mike'n'Katy comes over here, the journey will probably take 6 hours as I'll have to stop at a couple of vineyards on the way down.
