No Baines today, fabulous news for us.

Yeah thank god he didn't play!

Returning, if I may, to the title of this thread, do we imagine Jol's back with the squad now?

Fulham are hopeful Martin Jol will be well enough to return to oversee training on Friday ahead of Sunday's Barclays Premier League game with Sunderland.

Jol had still not recovered sufficiently from a chest infection on Thursday morning to resume his managerial duties, having missed the club's last two matches at Everton and Liverpool.

Unwell: Jol should recover from illness in time for Sunday's game

The Dutchman had been been expected to be able to travel to Merseyside for Tuesday night's historic 1-0 league win at Anfield, Fulham's first ever victory at the ground.

He did not accompany the team on Monday but was set to join them before kick-off 24 hours later only to decide to remain in London.

Fulham produced the perfect pick-me-up, moving level on points with eighth-placed Liverpool with two league games remaining.

The win was overseen by first-team coach Billy McKinlay, who was also in charge for Saturday's 4-0 thrashing at Everton.
