In addition to the one at Hull mentioned above, there was the dodgy one awarded in Basle against Smalling.  Basle put it away to make the score 1-2

The only other penalty I can think we've given away this season was v Roma at home.  Fortunately it wasn't converted.

Smalling played well earlier in the season but after he was transfered his mind has not been on his job at Fulham. Good luck to him and we may need to find a replacement.

Don I usually agree with what you say but please show me where he has shown anywhere and I mean anywhere, where he is worth 10 million. He can't even start on our team. He has never really impressed me. He is to slow.

He is still very young, especially for a centre back. He may flop at united, but I think there must be something there if Roy, who is not a fan of playing youngsters as you may have noticed, is prepared to play him in the europa/prem and not just in throwaway carling cup/fa cup games.

Also on the subject of penalties, but taking rather than conceding... Why does Zamora not step up to take any? It occurred to me the other day that I've seen Danny, AJ and Gera step up but never Zamora. Anyone know why?

I am pretty sure Bobby is not very confident from the penalty spot. I am not sure I would want to see him step up to take one. Murphy, Gera, Dempsey, Duff, Davies for me

Did anyone hear the announcers talk about the pen Smalling gave up?  They said it was the first pen we have given up in the league, and that we were the last team in the league to give one up this season.  I think that says a whole lot about our defensive abilities and the intelligence of the defenders we have playing  :54:
