Going to attempt to divert people's minds away from the form and head to January. Jol said he was looking for a Gem who isn't fitting in currently at their club. Suggestions on possible candidates? as I recall being linked to Wilson Palacios and see he's constantly on the bench, maybe he could be a player that fits Jol's statement. Any others spring to mind?

But what about David Bentley (the other one who is always linked with us)? He's looking for a Premiership team offering playing time? Crosses the ball, good on dead balls and ... Well he's David Bentley.

Any number of Dutch/German players who are known to Jol but will be dismissed as "soft" and "not tough enough for the Premiership".

So, let's see who we can get from Wigan or Sunderland - oh, we've done that...

It is a valid point but the list is so few. Besides whoever it may be will not be getting game time, won't be the quality we need and will ultimately be another in a long procession of stop gaps.
The list is few but the needs are great and I will contradict myself by starting my list off with Dawson from Spurs to cover, take over from Hangeland.

Didn't take it offensively as I'm steaming too and being optimistic isn't normally my forte! Bent sounds credible but can't see it myself. Dawson is an interesting one! Someone in my twitter said Alex Madlung but not sure if that's a step forward! I think we need a bit of championship bite to us, people who crave the chance and are eager to impress.
Scally - I worry too that these types of players will be match fit etc and be able to hit the ground running basically not changing much in the short term. I think Richardson is suffering from this and is an example!

Spot on.

Also Germans are the best ones in scouting of good,young and CHEAP players from South America,Europe and even Asia ( Kagawa 150 000 Euros). Central American National teams are good place to look at. Martin Jol should have some connections with scouts and agents around German Clubs.

The mess in Chelsea have to be used. Josh Mceachran is still on loan and I don't think Gaffa Benitez or his successor will use him.

Why not try and get Marko Marin on loan from Chelski. He's not getting much of a look in and he wouldn't even have to move house!
