Next season what will it bring....

All honesty this season didn't go as well as we thought it would, personally many of you might disagree with my points but i think Martin has done a good job for us this season. With losing Moussa Dembele in the last minute to Spuds and being unable to replace him in time, I think Martin did a good job to cover the cracks for the rest of the season(which suggests it has to be only for this season). Which will mean hopefully by this time next season we will have brought in someone who can do his job maybe someone better? I've always seen our problem to be the fact we can't score goals in the side. Last season we had goals throughout the side from Dempsey, Zamora, Pog, Murphy, AJ, Dembele, Hangeland and even Senderos, we had a good range of players who on their day could find the back of the net, whereas this season it seems we've only got Berba and Petric(when he plays) who scores for us. We'll need a massive mix up throughout the summer, hopefully we'll sign a few players who can produce class when called upon, the difference with Martin Jol is he brings in the better quality players unlike Hughes, Sanchez and Coleman which will give us an advantage now to some of the other teams in the premier league also due to how long we've been in the premier league for. we need to be more ambitious in potentially signing players, don't break the wage budget but built for next season with a team that could push us for Europa League maybe even Champions League like Newcastle and Everton have shown(not sure if i'm being too optimistic) Douglas, Dempsey, Stekelenburg have been all on our radar. These types of players could push us forward for next season.

What would your team be?

I'm sure the  club will  reinforce the squad to at least maintain Prem status. Though this can never be guaranteed - look at the money QPR spent- I thought they would stay up with the players they signed.

I hope we retain Jol and such as Berba, Riether, Schwarz, Sidwell, Enoh, Manolev, Hangeland, Urby if possible , because I think that is important to  retain consistency, and that we bring in replacements for  players if they leave - and another goalscorer.

I think Jol has done well to get us up to midtable with  the losses to the squad early on - and we looked like might go down at one point - and that is still an outside chance, but I think we will pick up points to ensure safety.

I have the same wish as all the previous seasons in our premier league odyssey:

1. Safety first.
2. Beat one (or more) of the "big 4".
3. A decent cup run.
