Why are we listed 5th in the league when we have an identical record as Liverpool? Our win was away and alphabetically we should be 4th. It's not often you see us in the top 5 and even after one game it just feels good

it doesn't really matter at the end of the day....but BBC has us listed 3rd, they do goal difference first, then alphabetical, suppose it depends on where you look

The BBC haven't included the Man Utd result in their main table, but they have in the little side table.

Probably to appease the Liverpool fans, after all its the only time they will be in the top 4 this season.

slackers! you are right, they don't even have it noted in the their league table at the moment, though they have the story of United's win at the top of the page, so United would be 1st and us 4th, given United has a goal difference of three.
