Having just watched the sky highlights and looking at the second girl a few times the challenge on Stearman, I believe from Dunk that brings him down is an absolutely awful challenge that quite easily could've been a red. He slides in from behind to take out Stearman. It's obvious and how the ref doesn't see it is a disgrace. The penalty too is a blatant dive from Wilson. Hemed was onside however for his 3rd with Stearman playing him on. We fell apart after the penalty but some poor decisions in the game today, not an excuse for our performance but we are constantly being done by these decisions and Brighton are definitely getting the better of the decisions; from memory the Hutchinson foul outside the box at the start of the season against us, and the ball over the line two weeks ago meaning they would've lost to Burnley and then today. Those are the three occasions that come straight to mind. It's time for video technology to stop these arguments because they are ruining the game! And giving teams unfair advantages!

Totaly agree with you, the referee was and i dont like to say this was a disgrace, the penalty was so soft, as a referee myself the standard of refereing this season has been awful,i would have been ashamed to have given that penalty, there was hardly any contact and the player went down like he had been hit with a sledgehammer, and the tackle on stearman was a definate red in any type of football be it sunday league or premier league. these refs should be able to explain why they gave these decisions but the top[ brass will never let them.We have been let down yet again by sub standard refereing and i am at the point of not registering for next season, i have been a ref for over 20 years, but my enthuseiasm is waining, due to incompetent refs in the championship :012: :012: fp.gif :dft007:

I thought O'Hara's attempted clearance for the third goal was particularly magnificent.

The 'penalty' was right in front of me.  It wasn't.

So we are either having a really bad run of luck with decisions and the cheating opposition being allowed to get away with murder

Or

The majority of these "incidents" are all part of the lack of proper defending and the failure to understand what's needed at this level to compete and progress.

I prefer the later!

I saw it side on and where I was watching its clear he put two hands on his shoulder blades and pushed him. No matter how feeble the push it was a push,so a nailed on penalty.
A stupid error from a defender that was having a shocker and he left the ref little option other than to award it.

All night long Stearman was pony.

We have conceded 11 spot kicks this season, 7 more than any other Club, and something rediculous like 22 goals from set pieces.

Can blame whoever we like, but those figures just tell me we're pants at defending, and have pants defenders.

Mince n Tatties

Betts went down like a sack of spuds trying
to save the second.

Just seen the goals of football League show and the penalty looked like a penalty with a shove from Stearman, why he did that I  don't know as the Brighton player was not going anywhere. Just a shame I have not seen them given when our players get a shove in the penalty area. Not sure about the 2nd goal can't see a foul there, not sure if it was the 3rd or 4th but it looked offside as not a Fulham player in sight.
