Dembele Heading for Turkey



One of our fears this summer is that Fulham will lose Moussa Dembele.

The young striker is out of contract soon and despite best endeavours by Fulham Football Club it looks very much as if the 19-year-old striker is set to leave Craven Cottage.

However, it looks as if his proposed destination could be a surprise to many.

Several sources are remarking that Dembele, who played 46 times for Fulham last season, scoring 17 goals, is heading towards Turkey to play for Galatasaray.

The sources we stumbled upon inferred that Dembele, along with his representatives, had met with officials from Galatasaray and had agreed to join the Turkish club.

Although Dembele has been attracting attention from several of Europe`s leading clubs, it seems that the lure of regular first team football could see Galatasaray emerge as his new club.

Unfortunately, for Fulham, if Dembele opts to move abroad then Fulham will receive no development compensation fee.

We`ll report further once any other information becomes available.

WOLVES MAKE BID FOR 27-YEAR-OLD TARGET MAN



Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly submitted a formal bid of £750,000 for Fulham's 6 foot 6 inch striker Matt Smith, according to the Bristol Post.

Smith had a tough season at Craven Cottage last season, and found himself playing second fiddle to Fulham's dynamic strike partnership of Moussa Dembele and Ross McCormack.

However, Fulham have already turned away interest for the target man, and with McCormack and Dembele set to leave for bigger things, it could take a large bid to prise the Englishman away from Craven Cottage.

Wolves lost star men Benik Afobe, Bakary Sako and Nouha Dicko at different points in the season, with Afobe moving for big money to Premier League Bournemouth, Sako leaving at the start of the season on a free transfer to Palace, and Dicko suffering a season ending injury at the beginning of the season.

They have the money available, and Kenny Jackett will be sending a signal of intent out to the rest of the promotion-hopeful clubs in the Championship, should he land Smith.

Fulham increase offer to Moussa Dembele as move to Turkish giants deemed premature

Moussa Dembele has an increased offer on the table at Fulham if he wants it.

And reports suggesting the talented teenage striker is on his way to Turkish giants Galatasaray for a reported £27,000-a-week are wide of the mark.

GetWestLondon has it from extremely reliable sources that Fulham upped their bid to keep the forward who scored 17 goals in tandem with Ross McCormack last season, and any imminent move to the Super Lig is pure speculation.

Head coach Slavisa Jokanovic has steadfastly maintained the exciting French forward is better off in west London where he will get goals and enhance his career.

Last week, former Chelsea and World Cup winner Frank Leboeuf told Dembele on a French TV programme he needs to go where he is all but guaranteed a first-team slot. See video above.

However, the galling thing from a Fulham point of view should Dembele sign for a foreign club is the loss of a potential £4 million compensation under current rules.

Tottenham were on the cusp of signing their second Dembele in January, but negotiations broke down at the 11th hour. The player has also attracted the interest of Tottenham and reportedly, Chelsea.
