Rightly or wrongly a couple of teams are picking up a reputation for foul play. I am sure their supporters and indeed managers will say that they are just committed but the tackle by Stoke City's Andy Wilkinson in added time with his side leading 2-0 against Fulham was both unnecessary and dangerous.

Mis-timed perhaps rather than malicious but the player was only yellow carded. Surely the Rugby League rule, of referring incidents such as these to a review panel would benefit the game?

As I said the other day, WN; refs are more interested in their 'profile' than reffing.

None of them have EVER played the game at any level, so don't know what they're looking at.

This wally has his own website.....I rest my case!!

Totally agree TT. That he has the nerve to call it 'Jeff Winter Entertainment'! What the Sam Hill is entertaining about him?

WN, I think we should have an appeals system - like tennis does.  Only for major incidents (ie, not throw-ins and the like).  Limiting the number of appeals per game would stop abuse.  It really works in tennis.  They're doing it in cricket as well, aren't they?

Yes. Why is football the last major sport in the solar system to embrace new technology? There are so many improvements you could bring in without massively changing the flow or nature of the game. Hell, I would rather the game was held up for a short appeal than a long injury break.

Because football is run by complete fools and has a history of being incredibly slow to adapt to anything. In the 80's teams were still buying their kits!!

The other conspiracy theory is that controversy is good for the game as it creates talking points and interest. Technology removes this.

Really not interested in anything jeff Winter has to say. Would definitely like to hear from the premier league referee boss though. They have a lot of problems which need fixing.

Not having any of that mis-timed/over enthusiastic nonsense White Noise-the bloke is a serial offender-he was smirking as he walked down the tunnel in front of us....revelling in his last contribution to the game....right proud he was.

Shame on him.
