How the £100 million should have been spent (?)

Hind sight and all that, but maybe just spend it all on one big star player, ie a Bale or Ronaldo (maybe not quite that level, but as close to as possible).

A newly promoted team with great team spirit and known for a quality football ethic, with just the added dosage of a single superstar player.

Logicalman

Would you choose a 'star' Defender, Midfielder, Forward or Keeper?
Logical is just in the name - don't expect it has anything to do with my thought process, because I AM the man who sold the world.

Don't think that would have been the answer, 1 man doesn't make a team but 1 man running a team can ruin it....this year anyway!

Woolly Mammoth

But if the system of play that took us up in style is no longer standing us in good stead, and it appears Jok now has his doubts, because why did he pick that starting line up.
We lost to a Cardiff team that had not tasted victory all season, and found it hard to score anywhere. Yet they found the net on 4 occasions today, and Warnock instilled belief in their players.
I will concede that they do not have the pleasure of playing our defence every week, nevertheless Neil Warnock must have thought it was his birthday.
This is the Cardiff team that most of us including me felt they were one of the favourites to go down, if not the favourite, and they may very well still go down, and they spent far less than us.
So where does that leave a Fulham team whose players were outplayed on the day by Cardiff, and our manager who could not find a solution or a method of preventing us from being outplayed.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

Answer to your last point Woolly is simple, out of work and seeking new pastures! Why does everybody think Cardiff were favourites to go down this year, sorry about this, but I just don't get that!!! I will have to recheck last year's Championship table to check where they and us finished, ok, we all know we played better football than them and after our transfer window spending which I think was above every supporters expectations, we should have been far superior than them this season, but you know money doesn't always buy success....it hasn't for me and I have been married 3 times!! It is really sad for FFC especially us fans to reach an euphoria last season in achieving promotion to see which way we heading this season, it isn't helping my manic depression!! I have given up drinking on match days as this might prove a danger to my health. I am sure there are happier times ahead again, but they might be a long time in coming!
