Hi all,

Joined the forum a couple of days ago purely with the intention of asking how JB was getting on as, being a Bristol City fan, he probably our favourite 'son'.

Disappointed then to read this thread and I wonder if I might offer up my tuppence worth on him.

JB was always a left midfielder and a good one at that. He's also a damn good LWB, but alas a LB he has never been. Johnson put him there one day to cover our lack of options, which many of us found frustrating as he was probably our best midfielder. He stayed in that LB position and the rest is history but if you ask our fans what his natural position is, it's unlikely they'll tell you LB.

Anyway, Best of luck for the season. Proper ground, proper way to play football and proper club.

Not a big fan of Bryan - he looks too nonchalant and relaxed for my liking. However, I have to admit he's been one of our best players this year even if he has made some mistakes. I agree with the others that say he's more a LWB though - he even played quite a few games as a left midfielder on his last season with Bristol City.

Caught well out of position for the sending off today as well. Top lad, great going forward but someone needs to have a strong word about his defensive obligations ffs
