I love Fulham

I love Fulham because
Craven Cottage is the perfect place to watch football,
John Paintsil ran,
our fans are passionate in a gentle kind of way,
it means so much to Scott,
we have been promoted to the best league in the world 3 times,
Tigana brought us the beautiful game,
we beat Juventus, yes Juventus, under lights by the Thames,
Louis Boa Morte ran like the wind and forgot to pass,
Sir Roy took us to Europe,
our owners are mad enough to keep investing time and money,
my son holds my hand as we walk through Bishops Park,
we won the Intertoto Cup,
Moritz Volz cycled,
we win in the Championship,
our fans know better than the "idiot" manager and our "rubbish" players,
we stayed up at Portsmouth,
I don't have to support Chelsea, QPR or Brentford,
Fergie hated Craven Cottage,
Mitro wants to stay,
I'm an ageing romantic and there is always hope, its the hope ......

Think that we may be around the same age.
I would add, seeing us lose 2-1 at Torquay Utd who were 92nd in the league when we were 91st and still going to Doncaster Rovers the following Tuesday with the same enthusiasm for the club that I've always had.
Standing on the terrace by the river with the flags fluttering in the wind waiting to see Les and Jimmy tear the opposition's full backs apart.
The club nearest to my place of birth.

I never went to Torquay and in many ways that was a seminal moment that I missed. But I surely loathed Ian branfoot an his m,anagement style. he brought in good players and then ruined them. Mr adams was a breath of fresh air.

I understand what you are saying about Branfoot's management style, but he added some steel to the team which had been missing for some time and brought in some of the players who helped get the club promoted the next season.

I feel that a bag of chips from Fishers and a pint from the Golden Lion (used to the Cottage) has to figure somewhere :)
