Popping down to The Castle, Putney Bridge Road later - for a Ram & Special

It's a  very long time since I was in there, probably about 25 years ago!

I thought it had been re developed in the early 2000's?

It has, but it feels like I've been in lockdown for that long....think it was redeveloped in the late 1990's

Youngs ram and Special, that takes me back.
Used to drink it many moon ago, not sure if I've ever been in The Castle, though- I vaguely remember drinking Youngs round there.

Mostly drank around south-east London, except when i went to Fulham games.

The Railway Bell, Gypsy Hill, was one Youngs pub I frequented. I remember Jubilee Ale, mixed with Special, I think- that must have been a long time ago, and Winter Warmer, but  Ram and special was the usual standby.

What I wouldn't give for a nice pint of Special. You've made me jealous Mr H4.

It'll be London Pride later this week, and possibly a fine pint of ESB

Youngs for blingo. Used to drink in the Duke of Cumberland Parsons Green. Many a good laugh there over the years and the beer was top notch.

I used to like The Cottage on Coleshill Lane
