Are You Prepared to Miss A Favourite Or Two

We have just been treated to a magnificent season of promotion winning football with 106 goals scored and among the best football ever seen at the Cottage.
We have grown to love the players, with their individual skills and efforts and in the old days would be looking forward to another season from these great individuals. Today ,however , the jump up to the top division means team strengthening has to be undertaken and some of last season's heroes will be lost to us.
Who do you think we may well have seen the last of and who will you miss most.

I guess there is doubt about Ream and Cairney seeing out the season and they are really two of my favourites, I am going to miss them both.
I really hope Kebano makes the grade but he too may struggle and it would be sad not to see him play again.

I won't miss any of them. I root for the boys on the pitch. If Fulham continues to stay up in the PL, the team is going to change a lot. God bless those that got us to where we are today though. Thank you Ream, Kebano, and Cairney! Fulham forever!

If it happens I will miss watching Tim Ream who has been excellent for us! Cairney and Kebano will be out of their depth in the PL but unless we bring in about 8 PL quality players (which we won't), they might have to be part of our squad, God help us! Knockaert, Cavaleiro, Muniz, Onomah, Hector and a few others should also be moved on to other teams, major overhaul required long before the season kicks off!

Who is this Miss A

I am to understand she is the new tea lady replacing Miss Take.

If we have aspirations to be an established PL club, unfortunately there's little room for sentimentality. Seemingly ruthless decisions go with the territory, no matter how well players have done well in the past.
The world is made up of electrons, protons, neurons, possibly muons and, definitely, morons.

I believe TC is easily good enough (as he has shown many times before), and believe that Ream and to a lesser degree Kebano may well play their parts next season. TC's level of involvement will of course depend on his fitness but also on the style of play that Silva will adopt. I would be very surprised if he doesn't participate in most games to some degree though if fitness allows it.

I could see Reed and Robinson also being relegated from starters to rotational players, and Rodak may well end up leaving or on the bench. In fact, I only see Mitro, Wilson, Tosin and Tete (if ever fit for a longer stretch) as being likely starters week in week out. Probably a couple more of the current squad (TC, Reed and Robinson comes to mind) will be fairly regular starters as well, but that will depend more on us not being able to replace the whole team at once.

In my opinion.

I accept that there have to be improvements but to change the whole team would be as bad as making no improvements. We needed Carvalho to stay and now Tosin, Wilson and Mitro must be certs to start with careful thought given to Tete, Robinson, Reed and Cairney. You can't write off a complete team that has topped the table and scored 106 goals.

Whitestone

I don't think anyone is writing off a whole team. Most are being realistic including Silva, because we recognise how difficult the task ahead will be. To have any chance of survival we will need upgrades throughout the squad. If we rely on sentiment we will be relegated.

It sounds from your comment that we more or less agree. I stated that a couple of the mentioned players are likely to be fairly regular starters, and my point was more that which ones that is depends on the incomings. I think all of the mentioned players are good enough to fill a spot (maybe a bit unsure on Kebano) if we make sure to get at least 3-4 quality players in the starting eleven. But all of them won't be starters.
