Can't agree with this. Issa has performed ably defensively, but we've really missed Anderson's distribution since he's been out. We've been VERY poor building out of the back the last few matches.

Yeah agree with this. Issa has been absolutely outstanding defensively and as decent as say Bassey on the ball if not a bit better. The last two games however where two opposing teams have a brilliant press we have missed Andersen s passing to bypass it. Arsenal were leaving loads of space so Andersen may have set the likes of Traore away. I actually think Diop is the best centre back we have defensively but Andersen s distribution is always a miss.

Yeah agreed. There were two or three times we could have been in first half for a second but terrible passes and who knows if we go 2 0. Second we just kept giving it back them. So hard however with their press and when you are working that hard defensively as knackered so very hard to be composed when so tired.

I'd rather we kept our defensive shape than got sucked forward and caught in the break. ( Against top teams that is).

That is defo the most important thing but like our goal today you could could see there were opportunities to get in and 2 0 could have killed it. You don't want to commit too many but it only took Raul today and at city it only took Adama if he had finished. Anyway wasn't to be and the defensive shape was absolutely outstanding and we all would have taken a point before the and of course.

I don't know about that. Sometimes I think people focus so much on Anderson's distribution that they undersell how good of a defender he actually is.

Don't get me wrong I think Andersen is brilliant defensively too. He was absolutely outstanding against Forrest away for example. Does lack pace however and Diop is pretty quick. End of the day it's a tight one. Would love to get both in the team but we're never switching to a back 5 so unfortunately one has to miss out.
