£3 Million-Rated Ex-Birmingham City Standout Wanted By Host Of Championship Clubs
Former Birmingham City loanee Jay Stansfield is wanted by a whole host of Championship sides on loan ahead of the forthcoming season according to a post on Twitter (X) by journalist Darren Witcoop.

The striker is now back with his parent club Fulham following a season-long loan with Blues last term, a year where he was arguably their standout player. Stansfield would collect every single award possible during the club's end of season awards evening, scooping all five for the men's team.

Despite only being a loan player, the 21-year-old became Blues' talisman and did everything he could to keep them up. Despite falling just short, it is clear that the striker has an incredibly exciting future ahead of him.

For Birmingham he'd put up 12 goals and two assists in the second tier last term, progressing on his loan spell in League One with Exeter City the season prior. During his time with the Grecians, Stansfield would net nine times and supply a further seven assists, which included a hat-trick in the final game of the season against Morecambe.

It is rather clear that he is one to watch for the future, and his last two loan spells certainly emphasise that. The striker may well head out on loan once more next term, with journalist Darren Witcoop reporting that the England Under-21 international is wanted by a host of Championship clubs.

Despite potentially now being able to knock on the door of the first team at Craven Cottage, another season out on loan may well be best for the striker's progression. Just 21, and with a contract with Fulham until the summer of 2027 it is highly unlikely that Stansfield will be going anywhere permanently.

The Whites certainly have an asset on their hands and already valued at £3 Million by Transfermarkt, Stansfield should have a number of successful years ahead of him.

Writer's View
It comes as no surprise whatsoever that a number of Championship clubs are interested on taking the striker on loan for the season. Perhaps a club with clear promotion ambitions may be the best move for Stansfield, as he continues his ascendency.

Although there's an argument that he could be utilised now off of the bench at Craven Cottage, for his career consistent minutes will be most beneficial. Having adapted incredibly well to a change of scenery at both Birmingham and Exeter, there is no reason as to why another loan move will harm his development.

Whichever Championship club does get their hands on him will be incredibly lucky and after proving himself in the second tier last term, Stansfield could have a monster-year in front of goal.

Fulham and Everton poised for Phillips battle
Fulham and Everton are at the centre of a summer tug-of-war for the services of Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to a report in the Sunday People.

The tabloid's print edition identifies the England international as a top target for Sean Dyche with the Toffees set to lose Amadou Onana to a 'big money' bid during the course of the close season. The Everton head coach wants to bring in the former Leeds defensive midfielder to replace Onana, with the Belgian midfielder widely thought to be close to a £50m move to Aston Villa.

But the collapse of Everton's proposed sale to the Friedkin Group over the precise deals of payments to previous preferred bidder 777 Partners has thrown Dyche's spending plans into limbo. Phillips, who finished last season on loan at West Ham United, seems set to leave City this summer despite being included in Pep Guardiola's squad for the champions' pre-season tour of the United States.

City will be keen to recoup as much of the £40m they paid Leeds United for Phillips two years ago and Fulham, who hold a long-standing interest in the holding midfielder, could take advantage of Everton's lack of liquidity by launching their own bid. The Whites are still seeking a replacement for Joao Palhinha, who joined Bayern Munich earlier this month, and are still scrambling to finalise a fee with Fluminense for Andre.

Phillips, named England's player of the tournament when they reached the 2021 European Championship final, is desperate to revive his career having made just 31 appearances since moving to Manchester City and managing just ten games on loan at the London Stadium. His spell under David Moyes was memorable for all the wrong reasons as he gifted Dominic Solanke a goal with a dreadful pass just three minutes into his debut, was sent off at Nottingham Forest, and was part of the Hammers' side humbled 6-0 by Arsenal.

Super Eagles Midfielder Iwobi Reveals Why He Released Debut Single 'Don't Shoot'
Super Eagles Midfielder Alex Iwobi has revealed his motivation for releasing a song titled "Don't Shoot" alongside two fellow players.

The former Arsenal midfielder launched his debut single alongside Ajax attacker Chuba Akpom and Ramsgate midfielder Medy Elito.

Iwobi says the track's lyrics are aimed at discouraging youngsters in London from violence and encouraging them to shoot for different goals.

"Growing up in London, there is a lot of criminal activity, things that you don't want to see or hear. With our powers, we are trying to say don't do that, channel it into something else," he told Evening Standard.

"Whether it is football or music, anything that keeps you on the straight path is what we are trying to show everyone. I've always loved music, I am not going to lie, but in terms of releasing a song, I never thought [that would happen]. It was just something where my friends said: 'The music is actually decent, why don't you release it?' So, we thought let's release it at the right time and not get distracted, because the main focus will always be football. But at the same time, I am more than just a footballer. I am human, like everyone else."

Iwobi released the track during the summer break after he played a key role in Fulham's 2023-24 campaign. The Nigeria international scored five times and registered two assists in 30 Premier League games as the Cottagers finished 13th in the top-flight – they also reached the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

Iwobi may put his music career on hold for now as he prepares to get the new season with Fulham underway. Their Premier League campaign begins with an away game against Manchester United on August 16.

Fulham see offer rejected 'in last few hours' – Club need 'monstrous' bid
Fulham have seen an offer for Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci rejected by the Italian club, who are uninterested in selling the player.

That's according to Tuttosport, relayed by Gazzetta Granata, who say Fulham will have work to do to change the Serie A club's thinking.

The newspaper reports that Fulham have made a bid for Ricci 'in the last few hours' as they step up their search for a replacement for Joao Palhinha, who has joined Bayern Munich.

They sent an offer worth €20m plus bonuses but that was instantly rejected by Torino, who have no interest in selling Ricci this summer.

Their plan is for him to stay and only a 'monstrous' offer of over €30m would convince them to change that stance. It seems unlikely they'll receive such a bid at this moment in time.

Instead, the plan is to start discussing a new contract with the midfielder to further lock him to the club and stop Fulham or anyone else getting him.

Marco Silva's side had presumably been looking to take advantage of their relationship Torino, who they successful bought Sasa Lukic from in the past.

Their offer was rejected outright, though, and it remains to be seen if they now up that bid or turn their attention elsewhere.

Torino turn down Fulham's Ricci bid
Torino have turned down a Fulham bid for their defensive midfielder Samuele Ricci worth £16.87m, according to Tuttosport.

The Italian newspaper claims that the Whites tabled a significant offer over the weekend for the Italian international after losing Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich earlier this month. But the approach was immediately rejected by Il Toro, who are not interested in selling the Pontedera-born holding midfielder this summer and plan to offer Ricci, whose current contract runs until the summer of 2026, a new deal.

The 22 year-old has shone at the base of Torino's engine room since signing from Empoli in January 2022. The classy and combative midfielder enjoyed an excellent campaign last term, scoring once in 33 appearances, as Paolo Vanoli's side finished ninth in Serie A. Tuttosport suggests that Fulham would need to cough up at least another £10m to seriously test Torino's resolve to keep hold one of Italy's brightest talents.

Hull City Target Premier League Keeper
Championship side Hull City are reportedly keen on a deal for former Fulham goalkeeper Marek Rodak, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The Slovakian stopper's wages could prove a stumbling block though, with Nixon reporting that the player may have to reduce his demands for the Tigers to pursue a deal. Hull are operating under strict financial limits this summer after a few years of heavy spending since owner Acun Ilicali took over, so may not have the financial power of other clubs chasing the player.

The Yorkshire outfit are in need of a man between the sticks after Ryan Allsop left the club to join ambitious League One side Birmingham City, with Hull's other senior keeper Ivor Pandur yet to play for the club. A move for an established name in Rodak may therefore be needed going into the new season.

Second-tier rivals Burnley, Blackburn Rovers and Derby County are also rumoured to be interested in the 27-year-old, but they too have been put off by the player's demands. Nixon reports that the former could still go in for the Slovak should England under-21 goalkeeper James Trafford leave Turf Moor.

Rodak, who has 22 caps for his national team, is a familiar name across the EFL. He started his career in his native country before switching to Fulham aged just 17, playing 93 times at Craven Cottage and conceding just 91 goals, having also had loan spells at Rotherham United and Accrington Stanley.

Game time has been hard to come by for Rodak in recent years though, having been relegated to second choice behind Bernd Leno in the Premier League, but being a safe pair of hands in the Championship. It's this lack of game time that led him to leave the club, and a drop down a division now seems inevitable.

It's been a summer of upheaval at the MKM Stadium, and a move for Rodak would go a long way to improving confidence at Hull ahead of the 2024-25 campaign. Key players such as Ozan Tufan, Jaden Philogene and Jacob Greaves have all left the club as they look to raise funds, and only one senior player has signed in Ryan Giles.

Should new manager Tim Walter want to build on last season's 7th place finish more incomings look to be needed, and signing Rodak could be the move that is needed most.

Writer's View
Hull desperately need some new additions with the season just weeks away, and goalkeeper looks to be a problem position after Ryan Allsop's departure. It's clear they won't have the firepower of last season, but Rodak would add some quality to the squad as well as experience in the Championship.

Financial restraints do seem to be an issue; Hull look simply unable to afford to make many reinforcements. The club would be a good move for Rodak as he enters the peak of his career, and the severity of the situation in East Yorkshire means he would be highly valued should he move.

Marseille beat Atletico and Fulham to sign Tottenham outcast
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is close to leaving Tottenham for French side Marseille, reports the Daily Mail.

Hojbjerg struggled for game time under Ange Postecoglou last season, starting just eight league matches for Spurs.

The Denmark international has been heavily linked with a move away from Spurs in recent months, with Atletico Madrid and Fulham rumoured destinations for Hojbjerg.

However, it looks as though Marseille have won the race to land the 28-year-old after lodging a £13.5m bid for the former Southampton man.

It's reported that newly-appointed Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi was key in convincing Hojbjerg to move to the French side.

Hojbjerg has cut a divisive figure for the north London side with the Dane struggling to match the demands set by Postecoglou in the latter's debut season at Spurs.

Hojbjerg scored just one Champions League goal during his time at Spurs, that incidentally coming in the 96th minute in a 2-1 group stage win over Marseille in 2022.

Mikel Arteta drops huge Emile Smith Rowe Arsenal transfer hint amid Fulham bid
Arsenal academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe faces an uncertain future at the Emirates Stadium this summer with interest from Fulham

Emile Smith Rowe continues to be linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer. The Gunners have reportedly rejected a £30million bid from Fulham for their academy graduate, who struggled with form and injury last season.

Smith Rowe made just 19 appearances for the Gunners across all competitions last term, failing to score and providing just two assists. And with uncertainty over the 23-year-old's future, Arsenal may have an added incentive to sell the attacking midfielder.

All top-flight clubs in English football must be wary of the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). Current PSR rules state that clubs cannot lose more than £105million over three seasons, with Everton and Nottingham Forest previously handed points deductions for breaching the regulations.

Selling Smith Rowe would boost the Gunners' PSR position as he would represent pure profit due to his homegrown status. But a hint may have been dropped by Mikel Arteta on Saturday over where he sees Smith Rowe's future.

Arteta handed Smith Rowe the captain's armband for the final 30 minutes of Arsenal's pre-season friendly win against Leyton Orient. And the young star was on the scoresheet alongside Gabriel Jesus, with both players netting either side of half-time at the club's Sobha Realty Training Centre.

Arteta's squad will now head to the USA for friendlies against Bournemouth, Manchester United and Liverpool as part of their pre-season tour. The Gunners boss has previously shown his admiration for Smith Rowe.

Speaking after handing him a start against Luton Town in April, he said: "I was really impressed with him. He has been training really well and we felt the game could suit us.

"I love him as a player, it is a joy to watch how he moves and how he changes direction. He was physical today without the ball, he wanted to make things happen. It was difficult to stop him and he helped us a lot to win the game."

Erik ten Hag speaks out on Scott McTominay's future amid Tottenham and Fulham links
Erik ten Hag insists Manchester United want to keep hold of Scott McTominay this summer, amid interest from the likes of Tottenham, Fulham and Galatasaray.

The 27-year-old was involved on a regular basis last season, making 43 appearances in all competitions and scoring 10 goals.

The Scotland international was the subject of transfer speculation last summer, with West Ham seeing a bid rejected, but he put that behind him and was an integral part of Ten Hag's squad over the last campaign.

However, he is being linked with a move again, with interest in him from the Premier League and abroad, but the United manager says he wants the midfielder to stay.

'We have very good players so there will always be an interest from other clubs,' Ten Hag said of transfer talk around McTominay.

'When you score 10 goals in a season and also perform very good for Scotland, then there will be an interest. But we want to keep him because he is a very important player for our squad.

'What he can contribute, as we saw last season once we had our sixes available, he could play in a more advanced role and he is a highly interesting player for our team.'

The Red Devils have already made two signings this summer – forward Joshua Zirkzee and defender Leny Yoro – but are expected to bring in more new faces, including in midfield.

The FA Cup holders have agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte, although they are still working on a deal with the French club.

A move for free agent Adrien Rabiot has also been touted, after the France international left Juventus following the end of his contract in Turin.

Manchester United confirm interest in Scott McTominay amid Fulham and Tottenham links
Scotland international is out of contract next summer

Erik ten Hag claimed he has no desire to offload Scott McTominay amid fresh speculation about the Scotland midfielder's Manchester United future.

The 27-year-old, who was the subject of a failed bid from West Ham last summer, while Fulham are interested in the midfielder. Galatasaray have also confirmed their interest, while Tottenham have been linked.

United academy graduate McTominay started 27 matches for the Red Devils last term and was their joint-third highest scorer with 10 goals after moving into a more advanced role. He also notched seven goals in Scotland's successful Euro 2024 qualifying campaign last year.

Ten Hag is adamant he views the versatile midfielder - under contract until next summer - as a key member of his squad for the season ahead.

"We have very good players so there will always be an interest from other clubs," said the manager, when asked about McTominay's future.

"When you score 10 goals in a season and also perform very good for Scotland, then there will be an interest.

"But we want to keep him because he is a very important player for our squad.

"What he can contribute, as we saw last season once we had our sixes available, he could play in a more advanced role and he is a highly interesting player for our team."

Ten Hag has already bolstered his squad this summer with the additions of 18-year-old French defender Leny Yoro and Dutch international striker Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna.

Yoro enjoyed his first outing in a red shirt when he played the first half of Saturday's friendly against Rangers in Edinburgh, with goals from Amad Diallo and Joe Hugill securing a 2-0 victory for an experimental United side which also featured Jadon Sancho for the first time since his fallout with Ten Hag last term.

The manager is excited about the potential of Yoro, who reportedly cost more than £50 million.

"For the first time, with only one training session, it was a very mature performance," he said of the teenager's display at Murrayfield.

"That's the way we saw him when we scouted him. It's great to have him and he's very young for a centre-back.

"There is a lot to come but you can see already that he has great potential. He is here and we think he can play but there are so many games to come and he will be in a group of four or five (centre-backs)."

Ten Hag is encouraged by the way his club have gone about their business this summer.

"We want to have a strong squad, as strong as possible and I think at this moment the football leadership is on the front foot," he said.

"That's what clubs like Man United should do and so we are very pleased that we have done business.

"We have Yoro in, we have Zirkzee in, we have two highly big assets with big potential for the future. But when I say future, the future starts today."

Ten Hag's own future was in doubt following an eighth-place finish in the Premier League last season before he was handed a one-year contract extension until 2026 earlier this month.

The manager - who has won a trophy in each of his two seasons at the club - is upbeat about United's prospects for the season ahead if they can add greater consistency of results.

"This club didn't win trophies, before I came, for six years," he pointed out. "In two years, after Guardiola (at Manchester City), we won the most trophies in English football, so we are in a strong position."

Chelsea Establish Contact With This Fulham Star's Agent: Good Choice By The Blues?
Chelsea are eyeing a summer move for Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira.

According to Ge, Chelsea are keen on acquiring the services of Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira as they look to bolster their midfield. The former club have even established contact with the player's agent Kia Joorabchian to discuss a possible summer move.

Andreas Pereira's rebirth at Fulham
Andreas Pereira came through the ranks of Manchester United Academy but he failed to establish himself there. After multiple loan spells, he moved to Fulham in the summer of 2022 on a permanent deal. The move turned out to be good as he finally started hitting the ground.

An important link on the team sheet, Pereira has been decent enough over the past two seasons. This season, he featured in 44 games, scoring three goals and providing nine assists. He averaged 1.2 shots, 2 key passes, and 0.5 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).

The Brazilian is better known for his attacking traits in the middle of the park. He excels in building plays and creating scoring opportunities. He also possesses the ability to score goals from set-pieces or long-range. However, the player doesn't provide enough defensive contributions.

A fill for Conor Gallagher
Chelsea will have to bring in a fresh midfielder this summer as Conor Gallagher is likely to depart. The player has 12 months left on his contract but the club doesn't want to risk him losing for free next season. With multiple parties interested in signing him, a sale is on the cards.

The Blues have set a price tag of £50 million for Gallagher, which will help them in signing Andreas Pereira. The management believes Pereira would be an ideal pick considering his experience and qualities in the final third. His addition will help them in securing more goals.

The 28-year-old has two years left with Fulham but he is reportedly open to joining a new club. Hence, it shouldn't be difficult for Chelsea to sign him before the next season kicks in.

Man Utd confirm interest in 10-goal Fulham, West Ham United and Newcastle United transfer target
Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has reiterated his desire to retain the services of Scott McTominay after confirming there is interest in the Scotland midfielder.

The Red Devils academy product has become a useful aspect of Ten Hag's ranks in recent years and enjoyed the most successful season last time out as he scored ten goals and provided three assists in 43 appearances in all competitions. After enjoying an increasingly prominent role during the second half of the season, McTominay was handed a start in the FA Cup Final and rewarded Ten Hag with an all-action display that helped his side claim a 2-0 win over cross-city rivals Manchester City that ensured Newcastle United will not play in European football during the upcoming season.

Ten Hag has already kicked off his summer recruitment with the additions of Lille's highly-rated centre-back Leny Yoro and Bologna and Netherlands forward Joshua Zirkzee. Further new faces are said to be on the agenda before the summer transfer window comes to a close next month - but there will also be a desire to allow several current Red Devils stars to depart over the next six weeks. McTominay has been linked with the likes of Newcastle, Fulham and West Ham in recent months and Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich were also linked with a move for the midfielder last summer. Ten Hag has confirmed there is interest in the 27-year-old - but is keen to retain a player he described as 'a very important player for his squad'.

Speaking after his side's 2-0 friendly win against Scottish giants Rangers, the Red Devils boss said: "We have very good players so there will always be an interest from other clubs. When you score 10 goals in a season and also perform very good for Scotland, then there will be an interest. But we want to keep him because he is a very important player for our squad. Report: Spurs and Chelsea express interest in signing Fulham star this summer
Spurs are looking to add to their attacking midfield options this summer, having been linked with the likes of Eberechi Eze. However, a new report has named Fulham's Andreas Periera as a target, a player who previously stated how he wanted to move to Arsenal

Periera has been one of Fulham's key players for years
The Athletic reported in early July that Tottenham were thinking about triggering the release clause, believed to be around £60m, in Eberechi Eze's Crystal Palace contract, with Manchester City not expected to make a move now despite interest.

However, new reports suggest that Tottenham have joined Chelsea and Aston Villa in the race for Brazilian midfielder, Andreas Pereira.

After eleven years with multiple loans, Manchester United and Andreas Pereria eventually parted ways in the summer of 2022 for £10 million (Sky Sports).

Since Pereira's switch to West London, the Brazilian international has shone, recording eight goals and fifteen assists in just over eighty appearances for Fulham. (TransferMarkt)

Periera previously expressed interest in moving to Arsenal
Tottenham's interest in the midfielder is reported by Globo who claim that Pereria reached an agreement with manager Marco Silva to leave Fulham this summer and while Chelsea are preparing a £35 million offer, Tottenham have also expressed interest.

Chelsea are believed to see Pereria as a replacement for Conor Gallagher, who has also been reported to be of interest to Tottenham this summer. (Mirror)

A potential move to Tottenham could cause controversy however after Pereria's previous comments regarding fierce local rivals Arsenal.

He stated: "I was speaking with my dad and head was on Arsenal, I wanted to go to Arsenal [as a youth player]. I was a fan, and I liked the way they played football. It was at the time that Wilshire was getting his first games, and I got a shirt from Wilshire and loved his shirt." (The American Dream Podcast)

Spurs Web opinion
Pereria is a good, Premier League-proven midfielder, but I don't believe that he perhaps has enough quality to make an impact at Tottenham.

His previously reported adoration for Arsenal would put further pressure on the midfielder to perform well, and fast, if he signed. The Spurs faithful are always likely to be less patient with someone who has previously expressed their fondness for Arsenal.

The Brazilian is also 28-year-old which makes him a year older than James Maddison, making it an odd back-up role for a player reaching the peak of his career.

Right now it seems academy players are of little interest to the club,I know Silva has featured 3 or 4 in cup competitions but it's only 2 or 3 games so think it's wiser to send them to championship sides.
