This is unprecedented as long as I've been a fan.

Does suggest that the club aren't exactly planning on extending his contract if they're already creating his valedictory documentary though.

That said, I'll look forward to watching it, it'll be extremely nostalgic!

Hoping it ends with the captain lifting the FA cup in May...

I suspect Fulham might offer Tom Cairney a one year extension, but he might accept as a two year plus contract in the championship might be more interesting. 

Now that Smith-Rowe has been signed, I think his premier league starting days are over and he needs to think about finishing his career with a few good championship years.

Smith Rowe is currently not better then Tom,, Nelson said it recently that he is the best baller in our team, I think he'll definitely end his career at Fulham and will be an asset for at least another couple of years,

A couple of years would make him our longest ever serving Club Captain. But when Marco doesn't see him as a starter it's hard to see him getting that sort of extension.

Fingers crossed as I love the guy and would love him to stay longer, but as I say, the documentary has a bit of a feeling of the club marking the end of a chapter

Yes this is how I see it too...if he was going to stay on, in any capacity, then why do a documentary now?  I am sure he has had discussions with Marco about his future and perhaps he feels that he would be able to play more, and for longer, if he dropped down a division.  He still has a lot to offer with his passing ability, and of course, that left foot!

The club release clearly says it's to mark the completion of 10 seasons with the club, which seems a reasonably big milestone to me. I agree he won't offer much at PL level for much longer but I don't think this documentary suggests anything either way about him staying or leaving, personally.

Fair enough, there's a chance I'm reading too much into it.

I think he'd be useful for us for another year - as Marco said himself in his Spurs post match press conference he's a player who still has a tangible impact on games for us whether he's starting or playing for 10 mins.
