Least Stressful Season?

Has this campaign been as straightforward as it seems. Feels that way to me. Not sure if there was any period where you might have thought we are having a wobble? The three relegated teams this season feel like they've made everyone's season so much more comfortable. To think Utd took 6pts off us in the league and Westham? How did they get 4pts from us? On the plus side taking 6pts off Newcastle & Forest and 4pts off Liverpool a decent feather in our cap. There are other results we will remember but of the top teams these stand out.
When did you think we are safe this season or we should be okay? For me it would of been the period from December to middle of Jan and the form we showed then even though dropped points against the likes of Southampton and Ipswich at home. It will be an similar finish to our first season back feels like it's been at a canter?

Never really worried about relegation, so agree with you there. Less stress.

But you captured the feeling of frustration at times. How did we not get 6 points against an awful West ham side? We should have had a minimum of 4 against Utd. Bournemouth at home, crazily dropping 2 points. Couldn't score against Southampton. Everton at home as well.

So for me a feeling that yes, it was a good season, stress free of relegation. It was a close thing but ultimately we weren't quite good enough to maximize points from games where we did well. Lots of teams will say the same thing, but I don't think it's blank-and-white-tinted glasses. We sometimes just lacked the real cutting-edge that turns close games. But not all the time, as games against Chelsea away, Liverpool at home and even Brentford on Sunday shows. We could do it but not consistently enough which is reflected in the stats. I believe we are both the team that won the most points from being behind, and dropped the most points from being ahead. That beggars belief. It demonstrates we have the quality but we are too inconsistent, and the reason being simply that although it was close, and we have been darn good at times, that we weren't quite good enough.

Don't get stressed over football or any sport now just enjoy the ups and downs, also With the players we have shouldn't we be looking Upwards and the gap from the championship is getting wider every season while we get stronger every season.

Some very good points you raise in regards to consistency.
Have to say the Bournemouth home game though we conceded late I thought it was a point gained by the end as opposed to two dropped. Possibly the best team I've seen at The Cottage this season.

I thought it was good as well, and I'd like more of the same next season. I recall people bemoaning the lack of excitement that campaigns like this brought back in 2010 or thereabouts, and some even suggesting they'd welcome the thrill that comes with a relegation battle. But as much as I enjoyed the Championship as a fan, I have no desire to go back there.

I have to say that I was disappointed with our performances in the cups this year. I firmly believe that we could have gone further in both. That being said, congratulations to Palace, who were worthy winners of the FA Cup. I was also delighted to see Newcastle win the League Cup.
Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

We've really been spoilt since Silva took over, at no point was I worried about relegation.

Definitely a less stress type of season.  Great first half, keeping relegation in the rear view.  Having said that, a Very FRUSTRATING season, with many chances to really progress seemingly wasted.  All in all, I thought a 'good' season, certainly some room for improvement.  Far too many points dropped from leading positions, something that MS (if he stays) will need to address.

There are different types of stress.  Fretting over relegation, no not really.

But take our win at home against Brentford.  That was eighty five minutes of anxiety, most of it spent listening to crowing Brentford fans, before sheer euphoria.

Stress-free for me is 3-0 up at half time.  Stress-free is seeing the opposition and knowing very quickly we have their number.  We haven't seen much, if anything at all, of that.  Newcastle at home with the sun shining was pleasant, but it wouldn't have taken much for it to turn against us.  Liverpool at home was a blindingly good game, perhaps the most stress free in the sense that I knew I was being royally entertained by 22 players and had better enjoy it.
