Tottenham and Leeds United dealt decisive transfer blow by Fulham
Fulham will not entertain transfer offers for a key striker this summer despite interest in his services.

Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United look set to end their pursuit of Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz with the Cottagers decisive on their stance not to sell the Brazilian.

Newly promoted Leeds United are said to have already seen one bid rejected by Fulham. The Yorkshire Evening Post claims that the offer sent to west London was £32 million.

That offer was formed of an initial £26 million with a potential of £6 million worth of add-ons. It remains to be seen whether Leeds United increase their offer but the Fulham stance is that no fee will tempt them to sell.

Fulham stance on Rodrigo Muniz transfer confirmed
Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas took to social media platform X on Thursday to provide the latest update. He said: "Understand that, as far as #Fulhamfc are concerned, Rodrigo Muniz is not for sale this summer. He remains an important part of Marco Silva's squad, amid the interest from #LeedsUtd and others."

Muniz is entering the last 12 months of his Fulham contract but the club has the option for another 12 months, which puts the London outfit in a strong negotiating position. GIVEMESPORT had also named Tottenham Hotspur as potential suitors for the player as they look to strengthen ahead of a return to the Champions League.

That outlet claimed that Muniz could be open to leaving Craven Cottage but, given his contract situation, the final decision on that will be the club's. The striker made 36 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring 11 goals.

The forward broke through into the starting XI towards the back end of the 2023/24 campaign, scoring nine goals after the start of February. Muniz was praised by Premier League legend Alan Shearer when emerging.

Alan Shearer praise for Fulham talisman
Shearer told Match of the Day: "He really was a handful. Tough to play against, horrible to play against in fact. That's always a good thing for a centre-forward, that's what you have to be.

"He was strong, he ran the channels, he brought players into the game and he really upset the Bournemouth defenders in every way, in everything he was doing. He was willing to run in behind and on one of the occasions he does it, they get their first goal because of it.

"They [Fulham] got balls into the box for him and he was first to react. He understood the situation and got there first. He was barging defenders out of the way and I really enjoyed his performance. That's what you have to do.

"We haven't seen enough of him because he's been out on loan or injured or whatever it is, but he has got a real opportunity to stake a claim and stay in there [in the team]. He's got to produce that every week now. I mean, they have signed Armando Broja on loan but Muniz has got an opportunity to stay in there if he keeps performing like that."

Who Is Rômulo Cardoso?
Fulham's first major transfer adrenaline rush of the summer window comes courtesy of Rômulo Cardoso. Who is Rômulo, and how would he fit into this FFC side?

A Rundown on Rômulo Cardoso: Who is Rômulo?
6'4", 23 years young, with a deft ability with the ball at his feet. Cardoso's stature would lead you to believe he is a pure target forward. That tells nowhere near the full story. Rômulo has been deployed as an inside forward for much of his career, utilising his physical disposition in wide areas to gain supremacy over opposing channels – both in the air and in behind – as Rômulo takes advantage of his terrific athleticism. The Paraná native's pace is truly something to be reckoned with. Combine all of this with his Brazilian flair to interlink with onrushing teammates, or beat a man, and it's fair to say Rômulo has all the attributes to make a complete number nine.
Whilst I've outlined the unique skill set that has seen the former Paranaense man gain the interest of RB Leipzig and, of course, Fulham, Rômulo isn't quite the finished article. Similar to his countryman Rodrigo Muniz, Cardoso needs time to develop. Marco Silva can afford Rômulo just that. He would begin his journey in West London as third-choice striker, after recent reports have confirmed Rodrigo Muniz's stay in SW6, and Raul Jimenez's club-activated one-year extension affords the Mexican a final season by the Thames. This gives the Cottagers' coaching staff the adequate time to improve Rômulo's goal record – currently a goal every 0.08 shots – almost three times less clinical than Rodrigo Muniz.

Player Comparison: Liam Delap
Take note of Cardoso's distinct makeup of attributes, and very few strikers can compare to the FFC target. Liam Delap offers some form of comparison. The 22-year-old man, now on the wrong side of the Fulham Borough divide, showcased similar athleticism, dribbling ability, and aerial prowess, alongside a rawness in front of goal that would lead me to expect a similar career path trajectory between Liam and Rômulo.
The son of Rory took time to develop. The former Tractor Boy's stint at both Preston and Stoke were mocked across second-tier circles, but given a third bite of the Championship cherry at Hull City, Delap's physical, yet technically adept profile acclimatised to senior English football.
I expect much of the same from the Göztepe star. Not much should be expected in his first season on British shores, if a move does materialise. Cardoso is a project that could become a star in years to come – not the ready-made product.

How Would Cardoso Fit Into This Fulham Side?
A target man with a twist, Rômulo's aforementioned powerful, fast, and technically tricky strengths provide an often vanilla Marco Silva attack with some much-needed versatility and flavour. Cardoso provides the tactical flexibility to open up several more avenues of attack, from a sometimes too-similar striking committee at Motspur Park.
Partner Cardoso's intriguing set of abilities with his Lusophone disposition, in a squad full of Portuguese speakers, I have no doubt – especially when given the right amount of, lowkey time as third choice, to adjust to life in England – that Rômulo would settle into the Whites' dressing room.

Should Fulham Sign Rômulo?
Rômulo is a unique prototype of striker, difficult to compare to many across Europe. At just 23, Cardoso's age, combined with his physical profile and record of a goal every other game, validate the £17 million asking price that Göztepe have set the Whites – which, if reports are to be believed, Shahid Khan's chequebook are expected to match.
It's certainly true that £17 million of the Queen's finest is nothing to be scoffed at, but in the modern striker market, a chance at a ceiling as high as Rômulo's is a risk worth taking. Signing players with the skill set of Rômulo don't come round often.

Fulham want 'fascinating' Wolves target to rival Raul Jimenez as £13m bid rejected
Wolves are in the market for a striker to compete with Jorgen Strand Larsen, as multiple players look poised to leave Molineux.

Strand Larsen's return of 14 goals was excellent in his debut Premier League campaign, but the towering Norwegian needed more support, which wasn't forthcoming.

Goncalo Guedes only scored twice in 29 appearances, 19 of which were from the bench, while Hwang Hee-chan equalled that tally in eight fewer matches.

Guedes has since been linked with a move to Flamengo after revealing his 'ambition' to leave Wolves, with Hwang also facing an uncertain future.

So, with Vitor Pereira not being a huge fan of both his back-up forward options, the Portuguese boss is hunting for someone to rival Strand Larsen.

Fulham see £13m bid rejected for Wolves target Romulo Cardoso
Last week, Wolves entered the race to sign Romulo Cardoso from Turkish side Goztepe after his stunning season for the club.

The 23-year-old plundered 17 goals and laid on 10 assists in 33 appearances, with former boss Nuno Espirito Santo and German giants RB Leipzig both showing an interest.

It was then reported that Leipzig were in the driving seat for Romulo, as the Brazilian centre-forward was keen to join the Bundesliga side.

But in a classic twist during the transfer window, The Athletic's David Ornstein revealed on Thursday that Fulham saw a €16m (£13.6m) bid rejected for the striker, with Goztepe demanding north of €20m (£17m).

The report also revealed that Leipzig, Feyenoord, Fenerbahce and Zenit Saint Petersburg are several of his many suitors, with multiple offers submitted and talks continuing.

Should Fulham win the race for his signature, Romulo will rival former Wolves striker Raul Jimenez and current first-choice Rodrigo Muniz for a place in the starting lineup.

Pepê may have played last Porto game – €25m for Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest or Fulham
Earlier today, ESPN in Brazil stated FC Porto's Pepê is in talks with Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Fulham and Burnley. They also reported the Portuguese club are considering a sale this summer.

Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Fulham and Burnley have all received encouragement in their pursuit of the winger.

O Jogo states clubs from England and Spain have been in contact to ask for information about the 28-year-old.

The Brazilian moved to Europe for the first time when he left Grêmio for Porto in 2021. He managed six goals and four assists last season, and it was his least productive season with the Dragons. The player was also self-critical of his performances.

Porto have been knocked out from the group stages of the Club World Cup and Pepê was part of their squad. He was limited to 44 minutes and was left on the bench against Inter Miami.

Pepê scored a late equaliser in Porto's 4-4 draw against Al Ahly on Tuesday.

The attacker has a €75m clause, but the report states his club have set a €25m price. The newspaper says 'no one would be surprised if Pepê played his last game for the Dragons against Al Ahly'.

Fulham shut down Leeds move with firm stance on striker future
Fulham Stand Firm on Muniz Amid Leeds Interest

Fulham have no intention of entertaining offers for Rodrigo Muniz this summer, despite interest from Leeds United. According to Sky Sports News' Lyall Thomas, the 24-year-old striker remains a key part of Marco Silva's plans heading into the new season.

Muniz has one year left on his current deal, with Fulham holding an option to extend it by another year, effectively keeping him at Craven Cottage until 2026. Club sources maintain he is "not for sale", and any advances will be firmly rebuffed.

His presence in Silva's system has grown steadily over the last campaign, and with Fulham expected to resist a major squad overhaul, the Brazilian forward is viewed as a core component of their attacking structure.

While Leeds are believed to admire the player's profile, Fulham's stance is categoric and consistent.

Our View – EPL Index Analysis
This is exactly the kind of news Fulham fans needed. Rodrigo Muniz came into his own last season, showing not just the physical edge and goal threat they hoped for but also an increasingly mature understanding of the role Marco Silva expects from his central striker.

There's a pattern we've seen too often at Fulham — a promising player hits form and is swiftly linked with a move away. This time, however, the club are holding their ground early. That's not just a show of strength, it's a statement of ambition.

Muniz is still developing, and his best years are ahead of him. With Aleksandar Mitrović long gone, this is his opportunity to fully lead the line in the Premier League. Continuity matters, especially in attack, and Fulham need to build around players like him, not cash in prematurely.

Keeping Muniz signals that Silva is being backed to push for another stable top-flight campaign. Fans should be encouraged that key decisions are being made with the long-term project in mind.

Fulham want to sign Romulo from Goztepe
Fulham will reportedly look to sign 23-year-old Brazilian striker Romulo from Turkish club Goztepe in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by David Ornstein of The Athletic, Romulo is the subject of interest from Fulham. The Cottagers are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a striker in the summer transfer window. So, the 23-year-old Goztepe centre-forward has emerged as a target for the West London club.

The Cottagers have already made their first move to sign the South American attacker in the summer transfer window, submitting a bid worth €16 million plus add-ons and a sell-on clause. However, Goztepe rejected the proposal, demanding over €20 million to part ways with him. Meanwhile, the player is also a target for Fenerbahce, Feyenoord, RB Leipzig, and Zenit St Petersburg.

Who is Romulo?
Romulo has established himself as one of the best strikers in the Turkish Super Lig since joining Goztepe from Athletico Paranaense. A native of Marialva, the 23-year-old spent his formative years in Brazil and graduated from the youth division at Athletic-PR. Meanwhile, Goztepe initially signed him on loan in February 2024 before completing a permanent move 12 months later.

The Brazilian striker enjoyed a solid 2024/25 campaign, contributing to 27 goals in 33 outings in all competitions by finding the back of the net 17 times and providing ten assists. Meanwhile, the player's progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. Fulham will be among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.

London calling?
Fulham's interest in Romulo is somewhat perplexing yet understandable. While the Cottagers are keen on keeping hold of Rodrigo Muniz amid his links with Leeds United, they will part ways with Carlos Vinicius as a free agent. In addition, Raul Jimenez is on the wrong side of 30 and approaching the twilight of his career.

So, several candidates, including Ricardo Pepi, have emerged on Fulham's radar, with Romulo also a viable target for the West London club. The Cottagers have already launched the offensive to sign the Goztepe striker, offering €16 million plus add-ons and a sell-on clause. However, the opening bid has failed, with the Turkish club demanding over €20 million to part ways with him.

In addition, Fulham will face stiff competition from Fenerbahce, Feyenoord, RB Leipzig, and Zenit St Petersburg for his signature. So, the West London outfit must move decisively to beat the other suitors to the 23-year-old Brazilian striker.

Sorting Out Situation Of Fulham & Nottingham Forest Target 'The Last Piece Of The Puzzle' For Inter Milan Attack
Sorting out the situation of striker Mehdi Taremi will be the "last piece of the puzzle" for Inter Milan in attack this summer.

This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan are taking significant steps to sort out their attack for next season.

The Nerazzurri are right on the verge of completing a deal to sign striker Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma.

Meanwhile, Francesco Pio Esposito now looks set to stay at Inter next season. The 19-year-old has impressed so much at the Club World Cup that he will take his place in the attacking depth chart.

Then, there is little doubt that Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram will also stay at Inter.

Mehdi Taremi "The Last Piece Of The Puzzle" In Inter Milan Attack
There is, however, one more player whose situation remains in some doubt.

Striker Mehdi Taremi only joined Inter last summer. However, the 32-year-old had a deeply underwhelming campaign, scoring just three goals.

Therefore, there has been widespread speculation that Mehdi Taremi could leave this summer.

And with the likes of Bonny and Pio Esposito coming in, there wouldn't look to be much room for Taremi.

However, Inter must find a solution for the Iranian.

According to the Corriere, the likes of Besiktas, Nottingham Forest, and Fulham have sounded out a move for Taremi.

Fulham plot spectacular double Arsenal raid; bid prepared for leading striker target – sources
Fulham are keen on re-signing Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson, though landing a new striker remains top priority this summer, TEAMtalk understands.

Marco Silva has earmarked Nelson to return across London following last season's loan spell that was cut short through a serious hamstring injury.

The Fulham manager saw enough in his 12 appearances to be convinced that Nelson should head back to Craven Cottage although, Arsenal appear only interested in a permanent rather than a loan deal.

Get Sky Sports with Sky Stream, Sky TV & Netflix £35 a month for 24 months. Prices may change during this period.

Nelson, 25, is believed to be open to a move with Fulham's interest in Gunners teammate Oleksandr Zinchenko increasing the prospect of a potential double deal.

The Ukrainian, just like Nelson, is expected to leave Arsenal, with interest growing from from overseas. However, it's understood he favours staying in England.

Crystal Palace are also watching developments with £10 million rated Nelson should Eberechi Eze be lured away.

But Fulham's focus is on a new frontman, with two leading targets emerging, and a bid set to be launched for one of them...

Fulham to submit bid for Brazilian striker
TEAMtalk understands that Goztepe's Brazilian frontman Romolo Cardoso is on Fulham's radar, with a £22m offer about to be lodged.

Another name on Fulham's list is PSV Eindhoven striker Ricardo Pepi.

The American won't come cheap with five years remaining on his contract in Holland and with suitors around Europe as he works his way back to fitness from a knee injury.

But any new arrival would have to dislodge Rodrigo Muniz, who is staying put after Fulham fought off strong interest from Leeds.

Muniz is not for sale with the Cottages rejecting a £32m offer from Leeds.

Long-serving midfielder Tom Cairney could also yet stay and sign a one-year contract extension, shunning a lucrative offer from ambitious Championship new buys Wrexham.

Fulham also face a crucial few days as they attempt to retain right-back Kenny Tete and stave off interest from Everton, who are keen to sign the Dutchman on a free transfer.

Why should Tottenham sign Fulham academy graduate with only 371 minutes of PL football last season? – Opinion
Tottenham Hotspur are entering a new era with Thomas Frank taking charge of the proceedings at N17, and the Dane head coach is looking to continue the youth project that Daniel Levy took up under Ange Postecoglou, but then the pair are looking to bring in players who are capable of thriving in a system-first structure, and this is where the North Londoners can take advantage of Harvey Elliott and his situation at Liverpool, given the prospect of bringing him to Hotspur Way is interesting...

We saw it across the recently concluded campaign that the North Londoners' midfield had been a big cause, especially when it came to creative aspects of things, given how James Maddison was struggling to bring in consistency and Ange Postecoglou had to play Dejan Kulusevski through the middle every now and then.

And now as the Danish head coach takes charge of the proceedings at Tottenham, he will be looking to bring in tactically flexible players who are capable of playing in a system-first framework, and this is where Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott is a rare opportunity. Given how he has proved his credentials in the Premier League, complemented by showcasing that he has a high ceiling alongside that positional versatility and technical flair when operating in the half spaces, the Fulham academy graduate can grow into an apt maestro under the right manager.

And given that his future with the Reds is uncertain as opportunities are coming by thin under Arne Slot, Tottenham have an opportunity to get a player that can fill in multiple gaps in the roster at Hotspur Way whilst having that capability to grow into a long-term first-team regular at N17.

Jamie O'Hara suggests Elliott
The former Tottenham midfielder has urged the club to secure his signature, and he also went on to compare the Fulham academy graduate, who played only 371 minutes of Premier League football under Arne Slot last season, with the North London ace Kulusevski.

Speaking on talkSPORT, O'Hara said:

"I would have him at Tottenham, 100 per cent. He would play on the right and compete with Brennan Johnson. Kulusevski is quite a similar player to him, but I think Harvey Elliott has something about him. He can play as a number 10, he can play in different areas, he can play in midfield. I like Harvey Elliott. There's a lot to like."

What are the attributes that Harvey Elliott brings at N17?
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder cum right winger is a versatile profile who is always thinking about attack first, and given that he is known for his technical proficiency, vision and creative abilities (as we have seen open up a compact of blocks with one pass or one carry with Liverpool), he could end up resolving the creative problems that the North Londoners have had of late.

The fact that he can operate on both sides of a (#6) makes him an interesting option.

The Fulham academy graduate is excellent at progressing the ball, be it with passes or through carries. Nevertheless, he always brings forward momentum in the game.

Moreover, he possesses a keen eye for passes and is really good at finding his teammates between the lines. Moreover, what Elliott is underrated for is his defensive work rate, given that he brings high energy levels and contributes defensively when required.

He's also really good at pressing from the middle of the park. Elliott has strong ball control and dribbling abilities, which help him come through the tight spaces and help him maintain possession even under pressure.

Why Elliott fits Thomas Frank's Lilywhites (Strengths)
Can Thomas Frank get the best out of Elliott?

One of the things that Thomas Frank highlighted during his time at Gtech Community Stadium was his ability to develop technically gifted players with high IQs who can adapt to a few zonal roles, and this is something that turns out during Harvey Elliott perfectly.

See, the thing is (as I mentioned above), he is not just a right winger; he can play as a right-sided central midfielder, a number 10, and even in wide zones depending on the phase of play. And this is what makes him ideal to play in the hybrid 4-3-3/3-5-2 system under Thomas Frank, given how his midfielders often end up rotating to fill space and support the press.

And when it comes to being a profile that gives you a sense of ball retention in tight spaces and has that ability with transitional play, which can make him an integral part at N17 where the North Londoners are trying to make a vertical passing structure and trying to break lines more consistently under the incoming head coach.

And moreover, given how he is quite press resistant and knows how to manipulate space, he can become a real asset in the structured framework of Frank.

Weaknesses
He is not your elite ball-winning midfielder, and he generally needs players around him to capitalise on his pressing, so you'd need to pair him with a ball-winning pivot who understands space and channels of passes. Moreover, at 22, he would come in wanting consistent game time under his belt, and given that Tottenham already have Maddison, Bergvall and Kulusevski, it would be difficult to commit those minutes.

And then it would be difficult to sit down with the Reds and negotiate a possible transfer, especially given how the Merseysiders wouldn't want to sell to direct rivals.

Aston Villa, Fulham vying for FC Porto star Pepe
Aston Villa and Fulham are ready to battle rival clubs in their pursuit of FC Porto's Brazilian winger Pepe.

Pepe could be living his final weeks at FC Porto as multiple top clubs are keen on signing the Brazilian winger ahead of next season. According to a report from ESPN, Aston Villa and Fulham are both interested in his signature and are willing to battle the likes of Nottingham Forest and Burnley.

Pepe came up the ranks at Gremio and made a name for himself while playing for their first team before joining FC Porto in the summer of 2021. The Portuguese giants forked out €15.4 million to add him to their squad.

Over the years, he has gone from strength to strength and has been a key part of their team. He has featured in a total of 192 matches for them and has contributed towards 55 goals. While the majority of his appearances have come on the right flank, he is capable enough to feature anywhere in attack.

Pepe to leave FC Porto this summer
Pepe still has two years left on his deal at the club, but it seems he is all set to part ways with the club this summer. After a disappointing Club World Cup campaign, the Portuguese club are looking to undergo a massive rebuild.

But, before they can make some prominent signings, they need to raise funds by cashing in on some of their stars. Pepe is one of the names on that list, and with no shortage of interest in him, Porto are hoping to make a decent profit from his departure.

Premier League clubs to battle for the Brazilian winger
Aston Villa and Fulham are two clubs that are very keen on signing the 28-year-old winger. With Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio returning to their parent clubs, Unai Emery seeks more options on the flanks, and Pepe could certainly help.

Meanwhile, Marco Silva is also in search of more quality on the flanks. With Willian's contract running out and Reiss Nelson likely to return to his parent club, Pepe could prove to be a great acquisition for them.

While both Villa and Fulham have opened talks with the Brazilian forward, they will have to battle the likes of Nottingham Forest and newly promoted Burnley. The Clarets seek more firepower as they prepare for their return to the top flight.

Players like Pepe could help them survive in the Premier League. As far as the Tricky Trees are concerned, they want more competition on the flanks, and the 28-year-old certainly has the quality to battle for a place in the starting XI.

Sky Sports: Fulham Pushing to Sign 17-Goal Brazilian Striker
Fulham Eye Brazilian Talent Romulo in Ambitious Striker Pursuit

Fulham appear to be taking strides in the transfer market with their sights firmly set on Göztepe striker Romulo, according to reports originally published by Sky Sports. The West London club, known for their measured yet ambitious recruitment strategy, are believed to be pushing for a deal that would bring the 23-year-old Brazilian forward to Craven Cottage ahead of the 2025–26 Premier League campaign.

Romulo's Rise in Turkey
Romulo's emergence in Turkish football has not gone unnoticed. The Göztepe forward registered an impressive 17 goals and 10 assists across all competitions last season, sparking interest from a number of European clubs.

Fulham, according to Sky Sports, have already tested the waters with a reported €16 million bid, though this was turned down by the Turkish outfit, who value the player closer to €20 million.

Such output in a single season highlights Romulo's all-round attacking threat and hints at his growing potential. At 23, he's entering his peak years and appears to possess the profile Fulham are seeking as they aim to evolve from mid-table consistency to a genuine top-half presence.

Fulham's Forward Options Require Reinforcement
Despite some attacking flair last season, Fulham's goalscoring record has drawn criticism. The departure of Aleksandar Mitrovic left a noticeable void, and while Rodrigo Muniz showed flashes of brilliance, consistency at Premier League level remains a work in progress.

The pursuit of Romulo signals intent. It's not just about numbers, it's about profile. Romulo offers a blend of pace, sharp movement and clinical finishing that aligns with Marco Silva's attacking philosophy. He also carries that added South American edge, often seen in players who bring tenacity and flair in equal measure.

Negotiations Underway Amidst Growing Interest
While Fulham are reportedly leading the race, they are not alone in monitoring Romulo. According to the Sky Sports report, "he has several suitors across Europe," underlining the competition that could complicate matters.

However, Fulham's willingness to table a €16 million offer shows serious intent. With pre-season rapidly approaching, time is of the essence if the Cottagers hope to integrate a new striker into Silva's system effectively.

If they are to close the gap to Göztepe's valuation, Fulham may need to offer closer to €20 million, possibly with performance-related add-ons to sweeten the deal.

Strategy and Timing Will Be Key
Romulo's potential arrival would not only boost Fulham's attacking depth but also act as a statement of ambition. While negotiations continue, Fulham must weigh their options carefully. Securing a player with such an upward trajectory could prove a masterstroke if managed efficiently.

Our View – EPL Index Analysis
As a Fulham supporter, this news is genuinely exciting. Finally, the club is chasing a forward who has both the statistics and the energy to make a real difference. Romulo's 17 goals and 10 assists are not just numbers, they are evidence of a player who can influence games from multiple positions in attack.

Fans have longed for a replacement for Mitrović who doesn't just wait for chances, but creates them. Romulo seems to be that player. He's quick, hungry, and at 23 years old, he fits the mould of a modern Premier League forward. If Silva can mould him into the system early, he could be one of the signings of the summer.

What excites me most is the potential partnership between Romulo and Muniz. With Willian and Pereira pulling the strings behind them, we could be looking at a forward line full of flair and unpredictability. And given Fulham's growing reputation for improving players, this feels like a calculated risk worth taking.

Paying the full €20 million? If he fires us into the top half or better, it'll be money well spent.

Fulham make striker transfer move, Leeds United should be watching closely – David Ornstein
Leeds United have been strongly interested in signing Fulham's number nine Rodrigo Muniz this summer, but their chances of signing him hinge on what the Cottagers think of a sale.

Leeds have matters to attend to in both penalty areas this summer, knowing they need to be incredibly efficient at both ends of the pitch to stay in the league.

A new big-money striker is a priority at the moment, following reports of a rejected £32million offer to Fulham for their striker Rodrigo Muniz.

Fulham stance clarified on selling Rodrigo Muniz to Leeds United
Leeds clearly mean business in their efforts to improve up front, putting down such a big opening offer for a striker from a Premier League rival.

Muniz is contracted until 2026 but the Cottagers hold the option of a further year, and Sky Sports have revealed that the West London club are insisting the striker is not for sale at this stage.

The Brazilian was unable to consistently retain a starting berth under Marco Silva last season with Raul Jimenez starting 30 of 38 Premier League fixtures while Muniz only managed eight starts himself.

Intriguing David Ornstein update suggests Fulham's striker plans may impact Rodrigo Muniz, Leeds United
Muniz's hopes of starting at Fulham may depend on who else Silva has at his disposal, and The Athletic's David Ornstein has revealed an offer has been submitted by Fulham to sign a new striker.

They have tabled a £13.64million bid plus add-ons to sign Goztepe striker Romulo, which has been rejected.

Turkish side Goztepe, owned by Southampton's majority shareholders Sport Republic, are holding out for a fee "north of €20million" (£17.05million) – the 23-year-old Romulo is also wanted by RB Leipzig.

Could Fulham be tempted into Rodrigo Muniz sale if Leeds United up their bid?
Trying to sign Romulo would indicate that Fulham are potentially open to the idea of letting a striker go this summer.

Having him, Jimenez and Muniz all vying for a lone striker spot is going to leave at least one of those players barely playing and not happy.

Given Leeds' offer for Muniz, it would not only supply us with a huge striker signing, but also Fulham the chance to clear some space on PSR terms too.

It's going to take a big fee for a Premier League club to sell to a 24-year-old quality striker to us, but Fulham's interest in adding to their striker contingent can only be positive.

Craven Cottage saw its fair share of drama during the 2024/25 Premier League season—most notably Fulham's thrilling 3-2 victory over eventual champions Liverpool and a memorable win against FA Cup winners Newcastle United.

But perhaps the most unexpected showdown came off the pitch, deep inside the club's dressing room.

In a moment that's since gone viral on social media, Fulham teammates Adama Traoré and Calvin Bassey were caught engaging in a playful yet intense wrestling match, much to the amusement of their teammates.

The footage shows the two muscle-bound stars squaring off, surrounded by the likes of Kenny Tete and Emile Smith-Rowe. In the first round, Traoré—known for his freakish strength and famously oiled-up arms—managed to pin Bassey to the floor, despite the Nigerian defender's attempts to hold his ground (in flip-flops, no less).

Not ready to accept defeat, Bassey changed his footwear and demanded a rematch, joking it would make all the difference. But it didn't. Traoré once again got the better of him, slamming him down as Alex Iwobi, filming the whole thing, laughed uncontrollably.

Speaking to The Sun, Iwobi summed it up best: "I don't see anyone defeating Adama Traoré. That guy is brick. He's just dumbbells with legs. He's too strong. He's too, too strong."

While Bassey may need to recover from the hit to his pride, Traoré can enjoy bragging rights as Fulham's undisputed locker room champion—though manager Marco Silva might have had a word about the potential injury risk.
