Fulham transfer news: Cottagers 'working on deal' to sign Brazilian forward
Fulham are reportedly in talks over a move to sign Goztepe SK forward Romulo Cardoso this summer.

Romulo signed for Goztepe on a permanent deal in January, around a year after he had joined the club in an initial loan move from Athletico Paranaense.

The 23-year-old has made 46 appearances during his time with the Turkish club, scoring 22 goals and providing 13 assists.

Romulo finished the 2024-25 campaign as the club's top scorer after he netted 13 goals in 29 league appearances, while he also showcased his creative talents with nine assists in the Turkish Super Lig.

As a result of his impressive performances, the Brazilian is now being linked with a move to the Premier League.

Fulham in talks over Romulo move
According to Sky Sports News, Fulham are currently working on a deal to add Romulo to Marco Silva's squad ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

The Cottagers have already failed with one offer, which was understood to be worth €16m (£13.6m) plus add-ons.

However, they remain undeterred by that setback and are still in talks with Goztepe over a potential transfer.

The report claims that Fulham view signing a young striker as one of their priorities for the summer transfer window.

Could Romulo pursuit affect Muniz's future?
Fulham's pursuit of Romulo comes at a time when Rodrigo Muniz has seen his future become the subject of transfer speculation.

Leeds United have been mentioned as a possible destination for Muniz, although Fulham have insisted that the Brazilian is not for sale.

There could be a trail of thought that Fulham may reconsider their stance if they are successful in their pursuit of Romulo.

However, Silva may be keen to enter the new season with three centre-forward options in Romulo, Muniz and Raul Jimenez, which would give them good strength in depth to negate the impact of any injuries.

In truth, Fulham will view Romulo as a replacement for out-of-contract forward Carlos Vinicius, rather than a successor for Muniz.

Bayern Munich prefer Premier League sale for Joao Palhinha
Bayern Munich would reportedly prefer to sell 29-year-old Portuguese international Joao Palhinha to a Premier League club in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Caught Offside, Joao Palhinha is the subject of interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils are keen on reinforcing their midfield unit in the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding Casemiro's long-term future. So, the 29-year-old Bayern Munich midfielder has emerged as a target for the Premier League outfit.

The Lisbon native is also a target for Fulham, but he does not want to return to the West London club in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich will demand around €30-35 million to part ways with Palhinha, and the Bundesliga champions prefer to sell him to a Premier League outfit.

Joao Palhinha and his Bayern Munich misery
Joao Palhinha has struggled to make his mark since joining Bayern Munich from Fulham last summer. While Die Roten chased the 29-year-old for nearly a year, the payoff has not been worth it, as the player was in and out of the starting lineup throughout the 2024/25 season.

The Portuguese international could not even manage 1,000 minutes of game time across 24 appearances in all competitions. However, Palhinha's stock in the market remains high, with several Premier League clubs, including Fulham and Manchester United, vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.

Premier League return on the horizon?
Fulham's interest in Joao Palhinha is understandable. The Cottagers are combing the market for a versatile midfielder amid uncertainties surrounding Andreas Pereira's long-term future. So, the Bayern Munich midfielder has emerged as a viable target for Fulham. However, the player does not want to return to Craven Cottage in the summer transfer window, thus dealing a blow to the West London club's prospects.

As for Manchester United, Christian Eriksen will officially depart from Old Trafford as a free agent in a few days. In addition, Casemiro faces an uncertain future at Manchester United. So, the Red Devils need a new midfielder, with the Bayern Munich man an option worth considering. Meanwhile, Die Roten will demand around €30-35 million to part ways with Palhinha.

The report has also revealed that the Bundesliga champions prefer to sell the 29-year-old Portuguese international to a Premier League club. So, with the player not keen on returning to Fulham, Manchester United may have a handy opportunity to secure his services.

Fulham set clear Rodrigo Muniz transfer stance amidst £50m Tottenham links
As the speculation linking Rodrigo Muniz with a move to Tottenham Hotspur continues to intensify, Fulham have now made their stance regarding the centre-forward very clear.

Various reliable sources have said that Spurs are ready to listen to offers for Richarlison this summer and are expected to enter the market for a new striker to compete with Dominic Solanke.

It was first reported back in April that Tottenham had set their sights on Muniz, who had an impressive 2024-25 season at Craven Cottage, having found the back of the net 11 times across all competitions.

It has subsequently been suggested that Spurs could face competition from Chelsea for Muniz, while it has also emerged over recent days that Leeds United's offer for the Tottenham target has been turned down by Fulham.

Fulham want to keep Rodrigo Muniz away from Tottenham
Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas has now handed the Lilywhites a major blow in any potential pursuit of the 24-year-old striker.

The journalist has taken to social media to reveal that the Cottagers have no intention of letting their star striker leave this summer and have made it clear that he is not for sale.

Thomas added that Marco Silva sees the centre-forward as a key part of his plans at Craven Cottage next season.

It will take a big offer to prise Muniz away from Fulham
While this report from Thomas seems to suggest that the West London club will not let the forward go, one would expect them to change their stance if a big enough offer comes their way.

It was claimed by GiveMeSport earlier this week that Fulham have put a price tag of £50m on Muniz amidst the heavy interest in his services.

The outlet asserted that Tottenham Hotspur are still contemplating whether or not to pay the Cottagers' asking price for the former Flamengo man.

Fulham's bid rejected for striker could see Leeds target back into frame
Leeds United's interest in Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz could hinge on the Cottagers stalled pursuit of their own Brazilian striker target.

Fulham have failed with a bid for a new striker, which could bring Leeds back to the table for their desired striker, Muniz, if Marco Silva's side need to raise funds for their target.

Turkish side Goztepe have rejected a bid of around £13m from Fulham for Romulo and are holding out for a fee higher than £17m, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein.

He also reports that other Premier League and European clubs are circling for the 23-year-old striker.

As Fulham pursue this deal, they could be persuaded to listen to offers for their striker, with reports that they recently rejected an offer of over £30m.

Muniz has a year left on his contract, but the West London club crucially have the option for an additional year. Their stance has previously been that the Brazilian is not for sale, but failure to advance in their public pursuit of Romulo could see Leeds take advantage.

Why Leeds want Muniz
The Yorkshire club are trying to add reinforcements to give themselves the best chance of survival next year to buck the trend of Championship clubs gaining promotion to the Premier League and immediately bouncing back down.

Muniz would be a massive coup for the club and with Fulham's first-choice striker, Raul Jimenez, starting 30 out of 38 league games, there is the chance for the former Flamengo player to move on and be the first-choice striker at Elland Road.

The 24-year-old scored eight goals and provided one assist while only starting eight Premier League games at Craven Cottage last term.

With another striker signing on the horizon, Muniz might see his minutes dwindle further, and Fulham could cash in before his position becomes even less tenable next January or even next summer, when the Brazilian would either be out of contract or have the club use their option to extend for another season.

Muniz has demonstrated he is able to lead the line in the Premier League with 10 goals and assists in 26 games in the 2023/24 season.

At 24, he may be thinking about pastures new with his minutes limited behind Jimenez in the pecking order already, the signing of Romulo would diminish his chances further, especially as Silva usually utilises one up front.

Fulham's pursuit of a new striker can only benefit Leeds, whether that's because The Cottagers are going to be too heavily stocked in their forward positions, or if they need the funding to secure their target, Daniel Farke and the club will be watching this situation closely.

Fulham keen on sealing summer moves for Reiss Nelson, Oleksandr Zinchenko
Fulham are reportedly interested in signing the Arsenal duo of Reiss Nelson and Oleksandr Zinchenko in the summer transfer window.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Fulham are plotting a double raid on Arsenal for Reiss Nelson and Oleksandr Zinchenko. It remains to be seen whether they can get the deal done. Both players are expendable assets at the North London club, and they are unlikely to stand in their way if a good offer comes in.

Arsenal need to add more quality and depth to their side, and they will be keen to get rid of players who are not a key part of their plans going forward. Meanwhile, Nelson and Zinchenko need to play regularly at this stage of their careers. Sitting on the bench at Arsenal is unlikely to benefit them. They will look to move on if there is a good opportunity ahead of them.

Fulham could be an exciting destination. They will be able to offer regular game time to the two players. Nelson and Zinchenko will not only add quality to the Fulham squad, but their experience of playing for big clubs and fighting for trophies could prove to be priceless as well. They will be hoping to sign the two players for a reasonable amount of money, and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

Fulham need quality signings
Fulham did reasonably well in the Premier League in the 2024/25 season, and they will be hoping to build on that next season. Marco Silva has a quality manager and talented players at his disposal. If they can bring in a couple of intelligent additions during the summer transfer window, it could elevate the level of their squad and help them fight for a place in the top half.

Reiss Nelson and Oleksandr Zinchenko will be determined to prove themselves at the highest level. They will look to establish themselves as key players for Fulham if the move goes through. It remains to be seen whether the Cottagers come forward with an official offer to get the deal done in the coming weeks.

Fulham in Pepe talks
Fulham are in talks with Porto winger Pepe about a possible move to Craven Cottage this summer, according to reports from EPSN Brazil.

Marco Silva has made the signing of a winger a priority in the close season after the Whites were hamstrung by injuries to Harry Wilson and Reiss Nelson during the course of the last season. The Whites are relaxed about Pepe interesting a number of other Premier League sides, including Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Burnley as they believe Silva could prove the key in persuading the 28 year-old to make Craven Cottage his destination.

The Brazilian international – who scored in Porto's 4-4 draw with Al Ahly as the Dragons went out of the Club World Cup at the group stage – has been linked with a £20m exit this summer after scoring 24 goals in 194 appearances. Pepe, who has won one Portuguese title and four Portuguese Cups in his time at Estadio de Dragao, scored 32 goals in 144 games for Gremio before moving to Europe for the first time in 2021.

Pepe made his Brazil debut in November 2023 when he replaced Renan Lodi with eight minutes to go in a 2-1 World Cup qualifying defeat to Colombia.

Fulham keen on Reitz
Fulham are holding talks with the Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Rocco Reitz, according to Jack Kelly.

The German under-21 international has made 68 appearances for his boyhood club, scoring eight goals, having joined Mönchengladbach's academy aged nine. He made his senior debut in a 3-2 win at Mainz in October 2020, and after two loan spells with Belgian outfit Sint-Truiden, became a first-time regular in the 2023-2024 campaign, scoring six goals in 37 games as Gerardo Seoane's side finished fourteenth in the Bundesliga and reached the quarter-finals of the DFB Pokal.

Reitz, who trained with Germany's senior side ahead of the 2024 European Championships, scored twice in 27 games last term as Gladbach finished tenth. He is currently playing for the German under-21 side that have roared back from 2-0 down to be on level terms with England in the Under-21 European Championship final. The talented midfielder's £17m release clause becomes active in July – and has already drawn interest from West Ham United.

Silva is known to be looking to add bite to his midfield over the close season and the Whites are exploring the possibility of a return to Craven Cottage for Joao Palhinha, who left for Bayern Munich last summer. A deal for the Portuguese international, who turns 30 this summer would have be financially viable, and the Cottagers are casting a wide net for younger holding midfielders across the continent.

Much rather prefer this youngster Reitz over a Palhinha purchase......

Super Mick

Doing a lot of talking to players as per usual. Be nice to get someone in if Marco wants them.
