I presume Berge speaks Swedish so that'll be a help. Nice for kevin and Chuka to have fellow countrymen already at them feel at home. It'll be most difficult for Kusi-Asar, being quite young and less experienced being with a senior team (having been in Bayern II most of his time).

If he learned some German at Bayern then he can speak with Leno too.

All Scandinavians under say 50 speak more or less excellent English.
Norwegians understand Swedish perfectly well, Danish, as long as they speak a bit slowly.
Swedes can to some degree understand a lot of Norwegian, most don't understand much Danish.
Danes understand neither well, it is complicated 😅

There's a lot of excitement around this signing which is nice to see. Considering how little there is to go off beyond potential I'm not going to get too carried away just yet.

When still this young player's careers who people expected big things for can go in many different directions. Like Iling Junior who was hyped at Juventus but then went on loan to Bologna, then signed Villa to be loaned out to Boro and West Brom.

Absolutely no way saying this guy will be the same as that, he could easily score 10 goals for us, or he could play 10 minutes and I'd believe it.

Yeh he's one to file under raw potential who can contribute but likely not quite ready yet to start. Which is perfect really with Raul in his last year.

We get can get him minutes in the cup and in cameos off bench this year, unless he really breaks out he'll probably be just that for this year.

I also wonder if he'll play u21s at all to keep his minutes up. We generally only have 2 strikers in matchday squad so will be interesting to see how much we see of him in first team.excited for his future but will temper my expectations of his immediate impact, still a young kid in a new league

It appears that German supporters are saying he has gone to the wrong club, he should have gone to a lower club maybe in Championship as the EPL will be too fast for him and it will affect his progression.

Let's hope they are wrong.

From what Ive read that's because they were looking at it from a developmental stand point for their benefit. They wanted him to get regular gametime somewhere at a level where he'd be a starter, so that he could develop then come back and contribute.

Not that he couldn't offer something at this level in limited minutes but that he's not quite there to be regular starter yet for a club like bayern, which is fine, he's just turned 18. They seem to think it was a bad choice for him to come and compete with 2 established premier league strikers at this point and that hes not quite top league ready yet but has the potential to be.

We have an option so you'd think will be looking at him as a project to work with this year and potentially show enough to sign for a reasonable fee, and then step up once Raul and/or muniz leave. I think he'll get cup appearances and cameos mostly this year and it's up to him if he takes those oppurtunities...much like King - A top talent but many didn't expect him to be ready to be a premier league starter this year either, but after good cameos last year ,the way he's started has meant he's earnt it

Depends where you are in Germany. I used to work in a school in Bavaria which is a more conservative region, and I can assure you that not all of them spoke English very well (of course many of them did but it was definitely not the norm for kids to be speaking English).
