Chukwueze - Big game player

Cambridge Away

Chukwueze has now scored two goals in a game against both Man City and Real Madrid and a last minute goal against Bayern Munich that took Villareal through to the semis of the Champions league. He scored a last minute winner away against Newcastle in the Champions League (if they count as a big team). Hopefully many more to come.

He is an incredibly exciting player, I remember his goals against Madrid and hoped he would be a player that would play for us one day - so am very glad that has come to pass.

Considering how talented he is, I'm surprised it didn't work out for him in Milan. Wonder if consistency has been a factor in his career. He's looked good every appearance so far, except for perhaps the Cambridge game.

If only we could bottle this form. Very Fulhamish for a player to find their best form just before going on a long international break.

I know absolutely nothing about this - so I'm perfectly placed to add my theory.....like most players they want to be happy & settled... Mr Chukwueze immediately knew (at least) 2 faces in the changing room & settled in very quickly...this is a big driver... Look at Palhinia since leaving us he's been pushed from pillar to post - and as such his game will suffer

These off the field aspects which are so fundamental often get overlooked as we can't measure them, completely agree.

Marcus Rashford is a prime example... he's smiling again

Yeah, interesting that his worst performance was against Cambridge. Add his performance against Spurs, as another great performance, you might be on to something about consistency. Maybe one of those 'can he do it on a rainy day at Stoke' things too.

For the Cambridge game he was probably still learning his team mates names so we'll let him off the hook.

He's one of the most explosive players I've seen for us, reminds me a little of Ashkan Dejagah.

I dunno why it didn't work for him at Milan either.
But he always tended to be used as a late sub there (and more often than not scored, as I remember!)
But maybe the lesson from Milan is: play Chukwueze for more than just a few minutes of the match !
He was literally running the show wherever he got the ball yesterday and clipping balls out to Kevin from distance.
At one point he dribbled his way through 2 or 3 City defenders and he saw hat trick glory... only to balloon a shot way into Row Z  ::cry::

Dammy

Chukwueze is one of those players who is at his best when he's confident that the coach trusts him. He's happy and it reflects in his performances.
He was not settled at Milan and it affected his game

Woolly Mammoth

I believe he can be a key player for Fulham and he has already made an impact.
He has a heart the size of a football, and has the potential if backed by his team mates to lead Fulham to an over due Cup Final.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

Ara's bacon crisps

I don't think you can overlook the impact of having two of his Nigeria team mates here has had in helping him settle in so quickly. All the videos around show them all laughing and joking together and clearly happy.

Although Muniz is obviously still around, you can't help but wonder if the same might have happened with Kevin if Willian and Pereira were still here?

Sadly he is not a Mid Game Player, didn't do much Vs Palace.

Are you trolling? He was one of our most dangerous players today.

His cross for the ESR goal was the best one of the match.  Pity about his big toe
