Jack and Loz at the Cottage - Blog 331
Date: 24th January 2026
Opposition: Brighton and Hove Albion
Score: 2-1
Fulham goal scorers: Samuel Chukwueze, Harry F Wilson
Weather: good
Atmosphere: from boos to bliss
MOTM: in a match in which no one played their best it's impossible to see beyond our 2 goal scorers with Samu, just returned from a difficult time in Africa, slightly more deserving than HFW for whom scoring incredible goals is now routine
Moment of the Match: not only was Andersen's pass to Samu the longest assist in history but also the trigger for a very unlikely comeback
Lunch: Pret
Post-match drinks: the Riverside
Dinner: La Parra Tapas

Often in football, as in life, you don't get what you deserve. Fulham fans have experienced numerous instances of this hard truth this season, with Josh King's unjustly disallowed goal at Stamford Bridge the best example.

But there's another side to not getting what you deserve.

Following a brief existential crisis in which Marco named an experimental line-up at Leeds, we were pleased to see he picked a tried-and-tested starting eleven on Saturday. Cuenca rightfully kept his place, returning Super Eagle Alex Iwobi rightfully got his back.

A stat that grows stranger every year is that Brighton have never won at Craven Cottage in the Premier League. But the Fulham family know better than to count their....seagulls so no one was banking on 3 points. Particularly once the match started.

It was hard to tell what was wrong. Familiar players in their usual positions, a team that should have been well-balanced, no particular pressure, a strong bench behind them, fans in vocal support. And yet everyone looked a bit off their game. Movement was sluggish, anticipation awry and link-ups non-existent. We simply couldn't keep the ball.

Our saving grace was that Brighton weren't much better but at least they could string a few passes together and their press was so overbearing that there were some hair-raising Moments when Leno and Co were "playing out from the back". They sometimes looked more like they were attacking our goal than defending it.

Our first half brightest Moments were two shots from Raúl, both well-saved, and an eye-catching skill from Kevin. Castagne was run ragged by the energetic Mitoma but found time for a decent cross and an incredible goal-line defensive header. The defence felt very precarious with hoofed clearances never finding a Fulham player and danger only a misplaced pass away. Brighton's goal was well-taken but we should have cleared our lines more effectively and Leno will feel he should have done better having got both hands to the shot.

In a game of bad performances, no one was further below par than Antonee Robinson. He and Kevin weren't even on the same band, never mind the same wavelength. HFW made some forward runs but had no end product, Berge blew lukewarm and cold, Emile suddenly looked like last season's version again and Alex Iwobi played like he'd just got off an intercontinental flight.

Brighton were totally dominant after they scored and it was more through luck than judgement that we staggered to half time only 1 goal down. It was a painful half to watch, knowing that every Fulham player could do so much better. Talk in the stands at halftime was whether we'd somehow manage to scrape a draw.

When things didn't immediately improve at the start of the second half Marco acted quickly and decisively, subbing on Sess and Chukwueze. They gave the ball away as often as everyone else but Sess brought fresh energy and Samu the unpredictability that we've been missing.

Brighton - who had foolishly forgotten that time-wasting at Craven Cottage always comes back to bite you - took an age with every goal kick and throw-in, but given the turgid passing around the box by Leno and the centre backs you'd think Fulham were the team in the lead. Up front, there was more creativity particularly after Tom came on, but decision making was dire and we still couldn't keep the ball long enough to do anything with it.

Fortunately, Joachim Andersen had a solution for this - none of that tippy-tappy, short passing, pre-assist nonsense from our Great Dane - just one long ball that arched down the pitch like a rainbow. Route 1 with style. Samu did the rest and he had to do it well - controlling the ball, beating the defender and finding the right tight angle to strike. Fulham were level. Samu's first instinct was to run to Joa to celebrate; Raúl's first instinct was to scoop the ball out of the net to hasten the restart.

This almost backfired when Brighton scored from a lightning quick counterattack that no Fulham player was able to prevent. In a reversal of fortune so great it was like a film plot, the VAR people forgot all about the 5% thing and ruled the goal offside.

If Fulham v Brighton was a classic of the silva screen the announcement would have been followed by crescendoing music and Fulham would have gone on to win the game easily. But, no, this was real life in South West Six with the sun setting on a Saturday afternoon so the Fulham players carried on giving the ball away and living very dangerously at the back.

From ponderous the match had become scintillating - either side could have won it. Tom had a shot blocked in the box, Leno had to stretch to tip one over the bar. Brighton had been the slightly better team for most of the game but momentum tilted Fulham's way with the final subs. Brighton's whipper-snapper of a manager went for the triple while Marco trusted Josh alone. Josh made a nuisance of himself and whilst he didn't give the ball away, he had it taken from him a few times...

One time too many. And in too dangerous a place.

Harry Wilson has put the ball in a lot of nets recently, the one at the Hammy End more than any other. He'd had a quiet game by his standards with barely a sight on goal in 92 frustrating minutes. But that didn't matter. He exchanged some pleasantries with Raúl, placed the ball, and took a few steps back. 27,000 people watched and waited. The Hammy End had no expectations, only hope.

And Harry delivered. Again.

7 goals and 5 assists in his last 12 games. He is unstoppable.

Fulham saw the game out courtesy of some world class hoofing from Andersen and some moderately calm game management.

This was not a match full of elite Premier League quality. It was a mistake-ridden game that went from pedestrian to entertaining, not necessarily for the right reasons. Brighton will feel hard-done-by because they defended well and on another day would have got a draw. The comeback shouldn't have happened. But this Fulham team don't know when they're beaten. They have a never say die attitude and an unassailable team spirit. And they have Harry F Wilson.

Random musings:-

- The ref let a few sharp challenges from Brighton players go but he wasn't card happy and got the big decisions right

- If being first on the scene to celebrate a goal was an Olympic sport, Sess would be the champion

- could Andersen actually hoof the ball over the Riverside stand?

- Antonee was Ivan's guest in the Riverside. He talked a better game than he played

A stunning (and surprising) day on the pitch for Fulham will hopefully be followed by a busy week off it. Tom's new (and presumably restructured) contract and Adama's imminent departure must be intended to make financial headroom for new arrivals, making Samu's stay permanent and new improved contracts for Harry and Marco.

It's a bit like when Chukwueze arrived in the box with the ball - a goal was far from guaranteed, it would have been very easy to mess up. That's where the Khans are now with two vital contract negotiations.

Mistakes must not happen.

Fulham centre-back sets 2025-26 PL record after pass for Chukwueze's goal v Brighton
Fulham centre-back Joachim Andersen etched his name into the Premier League record books during the 2-1 comeback victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, thanks to his contribution in the build-up to Samuel Chukwueze's equaliser at Craven Cottage.

The Nigerian international marked his return from the Africa Cup of Nations in style, drawing Fulham level just 13 minutes after coming off the bench in the second half.

Chukwueze, who replaced fellow summer signing Kevin, produced a moment of pure quality by expertly controlling an audacious long pass from Joachim Andersen before calmly slotting the ball into the bottom corner.

Brighton had taken the lead earlier in the first half when Yasin Ayari fired a powerful effort from the edge of the box beyond the Fulham goalkeeper.

However, Marco Silva's side responded strongly after the break, with Chukwueze's strike shifting the momentum firmly in Fulham's favour.

The comeback was completed late on when Harry Wilson curled home a superb direct free-kick to secure all three points for the hosts.

According to ESPN, Andersen's assist for Chukwueze set a new Premier League benchmark in the 2025/2026 campaign.

The Danish defender delivered a stunning 70-metre (76.5 yards) pass from his own half, the longest assist recorded in the league since Mark Flekken's 78.4-metre assist for Brentford in May 2025.

Chukwueze has been in impressive form since completing his loan move to the Premier League in the summer.

The former Villarreal winger has now registered three goals and four assists in ten league appearances, rediscovering his best form after a challenging spell at AC Milan.

Everton forced into action as Fulham now submit £27m bid for David Moyes' transfer target
Nine days remain in the January transfer window, so it could be a very hectic period for Everton.

David Moyes has been 'fixated' on signing a striker all winter, and Everton's recruitment chiefs have been assessing a number of potential options.

Ivan Toney has been linked to the Toffees, and so too has former number nine Romelu Lukaku in recent days.

Now, one of Everton's other rumoured targets is firmly in the sights of Premier League rivals Fulham, who have just submitted a bid.

Fulham submit bid for Everton target Ricardo Pepi
Everton have been exploring a deal for Ricardo Pepi after his prolific season in the Eredivisie with Dutch giants PSV.

Pepi has netted 11 goals in just 10 starts this season, and he has a good record for the US national team, too.

That said, Everton have now been overtaken by Fulham in the race to land his signature, as Fabrizio Romano understands the Cottagers have submitted a fresh £27m bid.

Negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs, so the Toffees will have to act fast if they're to sign Pepi this month.

Although, it seems as though the focus may now be on other areas of the pitch.

Everton desire to loan player, Fulham and Crystal Palace keen to purchase – Agent explains situation
There's a claim in the Turkish media that Everton, Crystal Palace and Fulham have all been in the race to sign Napoli forward Noa Lang.

The Dutchman has just joined Galatasaray on loan for the remainder of the season, but there was serious interest from the Premier League.

Habersarikirmiz have covered comments made by İbrahim Seten when discussing the details of Lang's transfer to Gala.

The journalist revealed he spoke to the 26-year-old's agent following his move to Istanbul and the salary his client would be receiving.

His agent said Everton, along with Barcelona, Juventus and Villarreal wanted to loan Lang until the end of the season. The agent also revealed Fulham and Crystal Palace were keen to purchase the player on a permanent basis. AS Monaco were also in the mx to sign the Netherlands international.

"Galatasaray pays a salary of €1.75m for Noa Lang. What happens if you are wrong with this cost, what happens if you are not wrong? I spoke to Lang's agent. It seemed illogical to me, but the information the agent gave me was that the clubs that wanted to rent the player, Barcelona, Juventus, Everton, Villarreal. Those who want to buy it with a transfer are called Fulham, Crystal Palace and Monaco," said the Turkish journalist.

Fulham looked to move in
Everton, Fulham and Crystal Palace are all looking to add to their squads before the transfer deadline and the attacker seems an option.

Earlier this week we covered reports Fulham were looking to move in on Lang. He'd previously been on Leeds United's radar.

However, it always seemed likely Lang would be heading to Galatasaray this month following their interest in recent weeks. Cimbom have the option to purchase him in the summer.

Lang has struggled to get Serie A starts with Napoli this season which has resulted in the former PSV player getting a transfer in recent days. He's contracted to the Italian champions until June 2030 after being brought in by Antonio Conte in the summer.

The information gives an idea of what kind of player Everton, Fulham and Crystal Palace are looking for.

Player Ratings: Fulham 2-1 Brighton & Hove Albion
The ratings are in following a last gasp winner at the Cottage.

We're back to winning ways after last week's poor performance - but we didn't make this one easy. Here are the ratings.

Bernd Leno

Not the first time he's exposed his struggles to save either a long range effort or something towards his near post, let alone both at once. Yes, the defending for their goal wasn't the best, but he shouldn't get beaten from there. Leno was lucky not to be at fault for a second too, seriously misjudging a ball into his box which never ended up going out and left him vulnerable to being chipped from the angle. Only redeeming feature from a poor performance was a great save to deny Welbeck at 1-1. 5/10

Timothy Castagne

Yes m, a few balls were targeted over his shoulder in the first half, but I thought for the most part Castagne gave a decent showing of himself. Made a couple of really decent last-ditch interventions in the first half, including a block on the line to deny Kadioglu from making it 2-0 in an empty net. Had our best cross of the game too, finding Kevin at the back post, nearly leading to a goal. Consistently decent defensively in the second half as Fulham pushed on a bit more. 6.5/10

Joachim Andersen

Best he's played for a while. Can't exactly say error-free as such because he got lucky that Brighton had a second disallowed while he defended so passively. Bar that, he was good, heading everything out the box, especially in the first half. His passing looked more accurate than it has in recent weeks and eventually resulted in a gorgeous long ball into Chukwueze to assist our equaliser. 7/10 - man of the match

Jorge Cuenca

A performance that was as solid as ever, which was potentially more impressive considering the pressure of Bassey returning from AFCON. Made more clearances than any Fulham player, continuing to prove how ridiculously good he is at reading the game. Had a decent headed effort go over the bar in the first half and blocked a decent Van Hecke strike just after half time. They were the highlights of a generally steady rather than spectacular game. 6.5/10

Antonee Robinson

The general consensus must have been that Jedi simply could not have played as badly as he did at Elland Road, but he gave it a bloody good go. Continued this terrible trend post-injury of over-committing far too easily in duels and seemingly not having the same recovery pace to make up for it. His pass accuracy stats were abysmally bad for a full-back that literally looked like he'd break the Premier League record for assists in a season by a defender not 12 months ago. If he starts at Old Trafford, serious questions will be asked of what he has on Marco Silva. 3/10

Sander Berge

Another who just shouldn't justify his place next week, but that comes as no surprise. The moment in the second half where he loses the ball, fails to use his frame to regain it, struggles to track back and ends up clumsily fouling his man for a booking sums up every single little detail of how much of a passenger he is nine times out of 10. He was so passive in trying to close down Ayari's strike and the way he passed the balls to shadows throughout the first half was despicable. It's the same so blooming often. 3/10

Alex Iwobi

Considering the love he'd received for his performances at AFCON and the absence of Lukic it's no surprise that he came straight back into the midfield, but it definitely wasn't his best game. Very passive on the ball throughout and despite how he got about in the first half, that energy later on wavered off the ball too. Also noticeable just how awful his corners were time after time. 5/10

Harry Wilson

Definitely looked the most threatening player in the first half in terms of the way he was running directly towards goal more than others and found so much space in and around Boscagli. A mix of poor decision making in the first half and a fairly anonymous second half showing had me relatively frustrated come the latter stages, but once again he stepped up and, despite poor goalkeeping, he can't be faulted for striking a wonderful free-kick to win the points and provide another wonderful moment in this season he's having. 6.5/10

Emile Smith Rowe

Not sure how to get a paragraph out of this. Didn't play as aggressively off the ball and compete in duals the way he did against Leeds. Didn't really do anything on the ball, looking neat and tidy throughout, just not in the right areas. Didn't do anything right or wrong, basically. As middle-of-the-road of a performance as you're ever likely to see. 6/10

Kevin

Feel sorry for Kevin to an extent, and I'm definitely not enjoying the level of scapegoating towards him. Beyond his transfer fee it's easy to forget this is a young kid in a new environment that gives more to the team than most in effort and ability, he's just not getting those moments yet like a Harry Wilson constantly is. He defended better than Robinson did on the left side and had a couple of 'wow' moments inside Brighton's full-back that nearly got us into wonderful attacking positions. He needs to continue to be backed before he loses too much confidence in himself. 6.5/10

Raul Jimenez

The man had our most shots, most key passes and made more defensive contributions than most of the 10 outfield players that started in white. He's 34, gets around better than most, and you only wish sometimes we had nine more of him so he could focus on being in the number nine position all the time. When he did manage to be, he came closer than anyone else in the first half, turning Brighton's defence beautifully from close range before being denied by Verbruggen 25 minutes in, before having a swivelled volley blocked just minutes later. Would've been MOTM had either of those gone in. 6.5/10
Substitutes

Samuel Chukwueze

Superb to see that a heartbreaking penalty miss to deny Nigeria potentially progressing to the AFCON final didn't get Chuk down here. He came on for Kevin and went at Brighton from the off and while a lot of what he tried didn't come off, he showed one moment of true quality to get in behind his man, beat the offside trap and cooly finish beyond Verbruggen to get us back into it. 7/10

Ryan Sessegnon

Was an instant improvement on Robinson at left-back going forward and getting back. Offered so much more of a threat with Chukwueuze than Jedi ever did for Kevin and constantly pushed Brighton further back on that side. Defended admirably, especially in the closing stages up against the fresh legs of Minteh. 7/10

Tom Cairney

Offered control and quality on the ball that was lacking so much from the original pairing of Iwobi and Berge, made even more evident by playing alongside them. Loved his captaincy at the end after Wilson's goal too, completely focused on calming his team down, showing leadership Andersen often fails too when wearing the armband. 6.5/10

Josh King on too late to be fairly rated.

Marco Silva

Hard day to judge for the manager. The way we came out the blocks with the squad available to us felt exciting after such a shocking showing at Leeds. But the way we went behind and then failed to recover for so long was awful and he seemed to do nothing to change that. The subs worked, for sure, but felt at the time like they were so obvious to make and came way too late, luckily they hadn't. The faith in Robinson and Berge failed once more and with any sense he'll replace them next weekend (he won't).

We won, so it's hard to be massively negative, but the football throughout was no better than against Leeds for the most part, but a win is a win. Also, the set pieces were terrible bar Wilson's free kick, and the sooner he bins off this corner routine with two players going over to take it, the better. Had this not been a win, it would be incredibly easy to be far more critical in both writing and rating. 5/10

Fulham "intent" on signing "incredibly prolific" striker with £28m bid made
Fulham are now "intent" on signing an "incredibly prolific" striker, with talks currently ongoing and they have submitted a £28m offer.

Cottagers keen on new forward to boost European push
The Cottagers have been on a steady rise up the Premier League table, rising to seventh after the 2-1 victory against Brighton on Saturday afternoon, which leaves them just two points behind fourth-place Liverpool.

Upon returning from AFCON, Samuel Chukwueze picked up exactly where he left off, cancelling out Yasin Asari's opener with just over 15 minutes to go, before Harry Wilson sealed all three points with a stoppage-time winner, bagging his eighth league goal of the season.

Raul Jimenez was unable to get on the scoresheet, however, and with the Mexican's contract set to expire at the end of the season, the west Londoners are keen on bringing in a new centre-forward this month.

Earlier this week, it was revealed Marco Silva's side hold an interest in Napoli's Noa Lang, who is capable of playing on the wing and through the middle, but they have now made a fresh approach for a different forward.

According to reporter Ben Jacobs on X, Fulham have now made a £28m bid for PSV Eindhoven's Ricardo Pepi, and they remain "intent on signing" the striker, despite the fact he is currently on the treatment table due to a broken arm.

Interestingly, the Cottagers aren't "too far apart" with PSV in their valuation of the American, with talks currently ongoing, as they look to get a deal over the line before the February 2nd deadline.

"Incredibly prolific" Pepi could be solid Jimenez replacement
Jimenez has impressed at times in the Premier League this season, chipping in with five goals and three assists, but with the 123-time Mexico international set to turn 35 in May, it is probably the right time to bring in a replacement.

The PSV star could be a solid candidate, given the level of his performances this season, netting 11 goals in 22 matches in all competitions, including three in the Champions League, with scout Jacek Kulig praising his displays in the Eredivisie.

The 23-year-old has been a reliable goalscorer in the Netherlands over the past four seasons, which suggests he could now be ready to test himself at a higher level.

As such, it is exciting news that Fulham have returned to the negotiating table with a fresh offer, and bringing in a new striker this month could give them a real boost in their push for Europe.

Marco Silva 'promise' sees Fulham ramp up €32m striker signing despite PSV delaying tactics
PSV Eindhoven are trying to negotiate around Fulham's €32million attempt to buy striker Ricardo Pepi, as talks between the clubs continue, sources have told TEAMtalk.

The player's head has been turned and clarification on the situation is expected quickly, especially with the winter window closing on February 2.

The Dutch side are wary of how they would replace Pepi at this stage of the season and ideally want a higher fee for the Fulham target.

However, they are also keen for any deal to be structured in a way that guarantees a significant portion of the fee is paid up front.

While PSV are not under immediate financial pressure to sell, there is a growing sense that Fulham are increasingly confident of getting the deal over the line.

The Eredivisie outfit are reviewing the proposed terms and conditions over the weekend, but Fulham are pushing for a swift breakthrough after assuring head coach Marco Silva that he will be fully backed in the transfer market.

More Fulham news: Liverpool back in for Robinson; Bobb signing blow
Liverpool are once again back on the trail of Fulham star Antonee Robinson and are preparing a fresh move to bring the left‑back to Anfield, TEAMtalk understands.

Elsewhere, Fulham and Tottenham are facing the prospect of missing out on the signing of Oscar Bobb, with a knew report claiming that Newcastle United are now planning to raid Manchester City for the winger.

Finally, Harry Wilson's contract situation at Fulham has come back into focus, with Everton and Leeds United both tracking the Wales international.

Transfer news and rumours today: Fulham submit striker bid, Adama Traore 'U-turn', Lucas Paqueta latest
Fulham have reportedly ramped up their efforts to sign long-term target Ricardo Pepi by submitting a bid for the PSV Eindhoven striker.

Earlier this month, it was claimed that the Cottagers were still interested in a deal for the USA international, despite the player recently sustaining a broken arm.

Marco Silva is still working without Rodrigo Muniz due to his thigh injury, meaning that an ageing Raul Jimenez is currently Fulham's only senior option up front.

According to Standard Sport, the London club have now lodged an offer for Pepi, but it is not known whether PSV have accepted or rejected Fulham's proposal.

The 23-year-old remains under contract with the Eindhoven giants until 2030, meaning that PSV are well-placed to demand a significant profit on the £9.5m they paid Augsburg for Pepi's services in 2023.

The American has registered 37 goals and eight assists in 90 games for the Dutch giants since, including 11 strikes and two helpers from 22 matches in the 2025-26 season.

Adama Traore 'stalling' on West Ham move
Fulham would free up a space in their attacking ranks for Pepi by offloading Adama Traore to West Ham United, who were said to have agreed a deal for the former Wolverhampton Wanderers winger.

Hammers boss Nuno Espirito Santo enjoyed a fruitful relationship with Traore at Molineux and is keen to reunite with the Spaniard at the London Stadium, but a move is now in jeopardy.

According to talkSPORT, Traore is now stalling over a switch to the Irons, having 'U-turned' on his stance after agreeing terms with the capital outfit.

The 30-year-old - who will become a free agent this summer as things stand - is alleged to be 'dragging his heels', and there is now uncertainty over whether a deal can be rekindled.

Traore joined Fulham on a free transfer from Wolves in 2023, but the attacker has failed to recapture the form that made him a hit under Santo at Molineux, registering four goals and 13 assists in 79 matches.

Traore has played a mere 262 minutes in the Premier League this season, making just one start and appearing in a further 14 matches as a substitute.

Marco Silva admits Fulham in Harry Wilson 'fight' amid reports of Everton transfer interest
Fulham star Harry Wilson is out of contract in the summer and several clubs are tracking his situation, with reports suggesting Everton are among them

Marco Silva has conceded he is in a battle to keep hold of Everton-linked winger Harry Wilson. And the Fulham boss urged club chiefs to do what they can to ensure one of the Premier League's most in-form players remains at Craven Cottage beyond the summer, when his current contract is due to expire.

Silva's words come with a number of clubs tracking his situation, with multiple reports suggesting Everton are among them.

Wilson once again showcased his importance to Fulham on Saturday as the 28-year-old scored a stunning stoppage time free-kick to earn his side a 2-1 home win over Brighton and Hove Albion.

Speaking after the match, former Everton manager Silva acknowledged Wilson was a player he wished to keep and said: "We are in the fight, we are trying to keep him.

"If you ask me if it's going to be easy, I say it's not going to be easy. The more he scores, many more clubs are going to be around him. This is football business. When a player goes to the end of his contract, this kind of thing is going to happen.

"I know he's happy in our club and how much he's enjoying the moment. It's up to the club to do the maximum to keep him."

It was the former Liverpool player's eighth goal in the Premier League this season and one that continued a fine run of form that lifted Fulham to within touching distance of the Champions League qualification places.

Everton have the opportunity to leapfrog the London side on Monday night and move even closer to the top four as they host Leeds United at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Blues are reported to be among the clubs keeping tabs on Wilson's status. Given his Premier League experience, ability to provide goals from attacking midfield and with questions now heightened over Jack Grealish's long-term future at the club, there are obvious reasons for David Moyes and those around him to take an interest in the Wales international.

Should they launch a pursuit for his services there will be echoes of last summer, when Everton were close to picking up right back Kenny Tete on a free only for Fulham to convince him to sign a new deal at the eleventh hour.

Silva continued on Wilson: "He's been brilliant for us. He's on a great run but it's from the first day of the season. He's been able to take the responsibility on his back, to be decisive.

"We had some very good spells (in the game) but it was not our best performance. He was able to take that free-kick.

"I'm repeating every week, it's the best moment of his career. Sometimes, everything comes together."

Fulham make $38m bid for injured USMNT forward Ricardo Pepi - sources
Fulham have made a bid of €32 million ($38m) for the services of PSV forward Ricardo Pepi, sources have told ESPN.

United States international Pepi has eight goals in 15 Eredivisie appearances for PSV this season but suffered a broken forearm in early January, an injury that is set to keep to him out for two months.

Sources have told ESPN that the Dutch side are looking for a fee closer to €35m to part ways with the striker that has led the line at the club since 2023.

"All signs were green for a strong second half of the season, so this is incredibly disappointing. First and foremost for him and obviously for us as well," PSV boss Peter Bosz said after Pepi's nasty injury earlier this month.

The 23-year-old began his career at FC Dallas before spells at Ausburg and Groningen before joining PSV, where he has 26 goals in 60 games, alongside 13 in 34 for the USMNT.

Legend of the Match Result: Brighton
Harry Wilson has claimed another Royal Caribbean Legend of the Match after his stoppage time heroics against Brighton & Hove Albion.

With the game poised at 1-1 in added time, Fulham were awarded a free-kick 25 yards from goal when Josh King was fouled, and our Welsh wizard stepped up to thump an unstoppable effort into the top corner.

We're used to seeing stunning goals from the 28-year-old, but this was the first time we'd seen him dispatch a set-piece.

"It's something that I've been disappointed about the last couple of years," he told FFCtv. "In the years leading up to coming here I scored quite a few, scored a couple for Wales in my time here as well, so it's nice to finally get off the mark in that sense."

Almost half (47.6%) of fans opted for Wilson as their Legend of the Match, while there was little to separate our other goal scorer Samuel Chukwueze (16.4%) and rock at the back Joachim Andersen (16.1%) for second place.

Fulham make £28m bid to sign PSV forward Pepi
Fulham have made a £28m bid to sign PSV Eindhoven forward Ricardo Pepi.

Sources have told BBC Sport the offer for the 23-year-old United States international falls below the Dutch club's £30m valuation but Fulham remain hopeful of agreeing a deal.

Pepi has scored eight goals in 15 Eredivisie matches this season and three more in five Champions League appearances.

Marco Silva's side are in the market for a striker, with Rodrigo Muniz sidelined after undergoing hamstring surgery in November.

Current first-choice Raul Jimenez, 34, is out of contract at the end of the season.

And Silva has confirmed winger Adama Traore is likely to leave the club after being left out of the squad for Saturday's 2-1 comeback win over Brighton.

Fulham have held talks with Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb but negotiations are not thought to be progressing.

'Welsh wizard' Wilson targets Europe and World Cup
Harry Wilson said he is "nervous and excited" for Wales' crucial World Cup qualifier against Bosnia in March.

The Fulham midfielder told BBC's Final Score how "desperate" he is to get his country to the tournament and is hoping the Welsh fans will push the team onto another famous couple of nights in Cardiff.

The 28-year-old is enjoying the best form of his career for club and country having notched up 17 goal involvements since November.

Wilson is currently the fifth top scorer in the Premier League with eight goals and was speaking to Jason Mohammed and Glen Murray after netting a last-minute winner for Fulham against Brighton.

Away day guide: Manchester United
MANCHESTER UNITED v FULHAM
Sunday 1 February, 2pm

Marco Silva will be seeking a third win in a row at Old Trafford on Sunday – having followed a stoppage time league success in 2024 with an FA Cup fourth round penalty shoot-out victory last year. This Premier League fixture will be screened live on Sky Sports Premier League, kicking off at 2pm. For supporters not making the trip to Manchester, the game will shown in Fulham Pier's Riverside Market at Craven Cottage – with no tickets required.

TICKETING INFORMATION
Fulham Football Club confirmed that they had sold out away tickets last Friday. The Club are running a waiting list and have received some returns. You can sign up here.

GETTING TO OLD TRAFFORD
BY CAR

Exit the M6 at Junction 19 and take the A556 towards Altrincham. From the junction with the M56, follow the A56 towards Altrincham. Continue along the A56 for six miles, when Sir Matt Busby Way will appear on your left. The stadium is approximately half a mile down Sir Matt Busby Way on your left, but Sir Matt Busby Way is closed on a matchday.

There are a number of small private car parks utilised by home fans on matchdays and we wouldn't advise risking street parking with civil enforcement officers regularly in operation. Away fans can park at the nearby Old Trafford cricket ground, home of Lancashire County Cricket Club, for £10 but are urged to arrive at least two hours before kick-off as exiting the car park following the final whistle will incur a significant delay afterwards. Alternatively, you can park at the at the Salford Quays Lowry Outlet Mall (M50 3AH), a ten-minute walk from Old Trafford, for £4 for four hours.

BY TRAIN, BUS OR TRAM
Most Fulham fans will arrive via train to Manchester Piccadilly. Supporters should be advised that the train service from London to Manchester with Avanti West Coast remains intermittent and could be subject to late cancellations.

You can also reach Old Trafford by bus, train or the Metro Link tram service. Old Trafford station is both wheelchair accessible and a five minute walk from the ground, whilst the Imperial Wharf Museum and Wharfside are the closest stops on the newly-opened Trafford Park Line. Supporters are advised to plan their journey by consulting the Transport for Greater Manchester Journey Planner.

AWAY PUBS
The regular away pub for any game in Greater Manchester is Duffy's Bar (398 Barlow Moor Rd, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester M21 8AD) in Chorlton. Duffy's is run by Fulham fanatic Peter, and has a George Best shirt from his Fulham days as well as plenty of other football and sporting memorabilia on the walls. The beer is very reasonably priced and all Fulham fans are assured of a very warm welcome. If you are making a Manchester weekender of the trip, Saturday night is live music night at Duffy's.

All the pubs within of Old Trafford will not admit away supporters, even without identifiable colours. The closest options will be in Salford Quays, around a mile from Old Trafford, where the swift-serving Lime Bar (Unit G1, The Quays, Salford M50 3AG) regularly welcomes away supporters and The Matchstick Man (Capital Quay, Salford M50 3WL), has hosted Fulham fans in recent years. Old Trafford cricket ground (Talbot Road, Old Trafford, Stretford, Manchester M16 0PX), the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club, also runs an outdoor bar on football matchdays, where away fans are welcome.

Fulham fans could also opt to drink at one of the stops on the Metrolink and then make their journey to Old Trafford. Away fan friendly venues in nearby Altrincham include excellent real ale pubs such as the Jack In the Box (20-24 Market Street, Altrincham, WA14 1PF), Pi (18 Shaw's Rd, Altrincham, WA14 1QU) and Costello's (18 Goose Green, Altrincham, WA14 1DW). There are, of course, any number of popular venues in Manchester City Centre.

Liverpool eyeing Antonee Robinson as Andrew Robertson replacement
Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing 28-year-old Fulham defender Antonee Robinson to replace Andrew Robertson.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Liverpool are plotting a move for Fulham defender Antonee Robinson. Andrew Robertson has been linked with a move away from the club, and Tottenham are hoping to sign the Scottish international in the winter transfer window.

Liverpool need to add more depth in the left-back department, and they have also mulled over recalling Kostas Tsimikas from AS Roma. Robinson would be an excellent addition. The USMNT international has proven himself in the Premier League over the years, and he is well settled in England. He could make an immediate impact if he moves to Liverpool.

He would have to compete with summer signing Milos Kerkez at Liverpool. Nevertheless, the opportunity to join the Premier League champions will be exciting for the United States international. It would be a huge opportunity in his career to fight for major trophies. He will look to prove himself at the highest level.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are hoping to sign Robertson this month. It remains to be seen whether they can agree on a reasonable deal with Liverpool. The Scottish international will be a free agent at the end of the season. The Scot has struggled for regular opportunities at Liverpool, and he needs to move on in search of regular playing time.

Tottenham will be able to provide Robertson with the opportunity he needs. He is at the peak years of his career, and sitting on the bench at Liverpool will not benefit him. With the World Cup coming up, he will want to play more often.

Robinson will be tempted to Liverpool
On the other hand, Antonee Robinson has proven himself with Fulham repeatedly, and he will look to test himself at the highest level now. He will look to prove his quality in the UEFA Champions League and fight for trophies with Liverpool if the move goes through.

Robinson is currently 28, and this could be his final opportunity to join an elite club. The American defender will be determined to complete the transfer. It will be interesting to see if Fulham are prepared to sanction his departure. They are having an impressive season, and selling one of their best players could be a mistake.

Fulham reportedly submit new $38m bid for USMNT and PSV star Ricardo Pepi
Fulham have reportedly made another bid for U.S. men's national team forward Ricardo Pepi, who continues to draw interest despite a recent arm injury. The bid is not Fulham's first for the PSV star but, to date, the Dutch club has been open about its desire to keep hold of the striker. Pepi has been radar for Premier League clubs for quite some time.

What happened
According to various reports, Fulham have submitted a new $38 million (€32 million) bid in their pursuit of the American striker. GOAL confirmed on Monday that Fulham were among several Premier League teams keeping an eye on Pepi, even after seeing a previous $35 million offer dismissed by PSV.

The striker was the subject of a $20.7 million (€20M) bid last season before a knee injury sidelined him and ended any hopes of a January 2025 move.

News of Fulham's latest bid was first reported by ESPN.

The injury situation
Interest in Pepi has continued to be strong despite a recent injury, which is set to see him sidelined until March. Pepi suffered the injury in PSV's win over Excelsior on Jan. 10. While falling to score the opening goal, Pepi landed on and broke his arm, requiring surgery that will keep him sidelined for two months.

Despite that, there has been plenty of interest from Fulham, who have submitted bids knowing full well it would be several weeks until the striker would see the field for the club.

Pepi's season so far
After being eased back into the team following his January 2025 knee injury, Pepi really found his form in the final weeks of 2025. In total, Pepi has eight goals and an assist in 716 Eredivisie minutes this season, eight of which have been starts. He's also scored three goals in the Champions League, netting against Napoli, Olympiacos and Atletico Madrid in European matches.

What comes next?
The January transfer window will remain open for a few more days, with the Premier League's deadline set for 7 p.m. local time on Feb. 2. Fulham currently sit seventh in the Premier League following Saturday's 2-1 win over Brighton.

The win puts them just three points behind fourth-place Chelsea. PSV, meanwhile, are running away with the Eredivisie, but face a fight to stay in the Champions League ahead of their final group phase match against Bayern Munich.

Fulham table €32 million bid to sign Ricardo Pepi
Fulham are reportedly interested in signing 23-year-old USMNT international Ricardo Pepi from PSV Eindhoven.

Fulham have been linked with Ricardo Pepi in recent weeks, and they have now submitted a €32 million offer to get the deal done. According to an update by reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, they are hoping to complete the deal before the winter transfer window closes.

Pepi has done quite well in the Netherlands, and he has 13 goal contributions this season. He could prove to be an excellent acquisition for Fulham if they manage to get the deal done. The West London club have impressed in the Premier League this season, and they are hoping to finish as high as possible.

The Cottagers will be looking to secure their place in the top half and push for European qualification. They need to improve the team during the January transfer window to sustain their current run of form and perhaps improve on it.

Signing a quality striker could make a big difference for them, and Pepi has emerged as a viable target. The Cottagers need someone who can find the back of the net regularly. They have been overly dependent on Harry Wilson for goals and creativity in recent weeks. The Welsh International has done quite well, but he is not a striker. Fulham need someone who can score goals consistently and lead the line for them.

Pepi could be tempted to join
Ricardo Pepi has proven himself in the Netherlands, and he has the attributes to succeed in England as well. The opportunity to play for the Premier League club will be exciting for the 23-year-old American striker. They have an exciting team and an ambitious project.

Pepi will look to prove himself in English football with them. If he manages to impress with the London club, he might be able to secure a bigger move in future. The transfer could be the ideal steppingstone in his career right now.

The Eredivisie outfit will not want to lose a quality player like him, but they could be under pressure if the striker decides to move. The €32 million offer is reasonable for a player of his quality, and it remains to be seen whether they are prepared to accept it.

Stunning Everton and Fulham swap deal that David Moyes could land for 13 G/A contract rebel
Everton have been dealt a cruel blow with the loss of Jack Grealish, could a stunning swap deal be a solution for the short and long term?

David Moyes already had one of the smallest squads in the Premier League before losing two key players to the African Cup of Nations.

The Toffees boss already had to make do without Jarrad Branthwaite before a ball was kicked with the England international only now getting back into full training. To lose Jack Grealish for most of the rest of the season is the latest kick in the teeth and Moyes should be looking to find a replacement for the on loan Man City playmaker.

Swap deal Everton could make to land Harry Wilson
Top of the shopping list appears to be former Liverpool kid Harry Wilson who is having his best season in the Premier league with eight goals and five assists this season already. The 28-year old Wales international is out of contract in the summer and has hinted that he could be leaving Fulham citing family reasons for a potential departure. Everton aren't the only team looking at Wilson with Leeds United also keeping tabs on his situation.

With the months ticking down on Wilson's contract, if any of the interested teams make an offer to Fulham now, it might be one that the London outfit consider. Everton don't have a lot of spare players, but what the might consider is offering a player of their own who might not be too keen on extending his stay on Merseyside. Vitaliy Mykolenko has been linked with an exit with Adam Aznou showing glimpses of what he could be capable of once he fully adapts to the Premier League. Fulham might lose an international midfielder, but they could gain an international defender for a position where nobody has really made the position their own.

Wilson has always been a good player, but Marco Silva has set his team up in a way that gets the best out of the left-footed wide man. At Everton, Ndiaye holds this position but could be sold in the summer or moved into a no.10 role and Everton will need to find a way of replacing his goals and assists. It isn't just because he is available on a pre-contract agreement, Wilson is as low risk as a new signing could be and would add experience to a forward line that can sometimes be guilty of not creating or scoring enough goals.

Wilson on red-hot Fulham form
Speaking to Sky Sports recently, Wilson gave an insight into his current form and finally fulfilling his obvious potential: "I wouldn't say I'm doing anything different. I think regular minutes and a rhythm really helps me," says the 28-year-old.When I'm in and out of the team, you can see it disrupts the rhythm, but I feel like I'm getting a really good run in the team.

"Even before I was at Fulham, I feel like I've played my best football when I've been playing game in, game out. You feel really fit when you're scoring, you're assisting and your confidence is high. You feel like you can just keep going and going." Wilson has started more games at this stage of a Premier League season than ever before and has rewarded both Silva and Fulham for the trust shown in him. Had this faith been shown sooner, he might not be considering a move away.
