Everton at Fulham: Team News, Injury List, Match Preview
Fulham hosts Everton on Saturday in a matchup of two sides aiming to qualify for Europe, in some capacity, next season. Both are only five points outside the top six, and six points off the pace for the top five, so they're definitely in the thick of it. Both teams have a very short injury list right now too.

Fulham only have three injury concerns right now: new January transfer window addition Oscar Bobb, Sasa Lukic and Rodrigo Muniz. All of them are currently dealing with thigh injuries.

Everton at Fulham
Kickoff: Saturday, Feb 7, 3pm, Craven Cottage, London, UK

Google Result Probability: Everton win 26%  Draw 29%  Fulham win 45%

Premier League Standing:  Everton 10th, 34 pts Fulham 9th, 34 pts

Team News for Both Sides
Let's start with Bobb, the former Manchester City man.

"Probably too soon," said manager Marco Silva at his weekly Friday news conference, ahead of last weekend's fixture, a 3-2 loss at Manchester United.

"Now it is up to us to make sure he is in the best physical condition he can be, because I'm sure he is going to be a very good signing for the football club."

Maybe he makes his Fulham debut here? Put him in the 50/50 kind of category for this weekend; ditto for Muniz.

"Rodrigo is around the team already, but too soon to be in contention," said Silva. "Let's hope we have good news next week."

As for Lukic, his return won't likely come until later on in the month.

Shifting gears to Everton, Vitalii Mykolenko missed out on the score draw with Brighton, due to what manager David Moyes labeled a knock. He faces a late fitness in order to make the matchday squad here.

And then of course, you have Jack Grealish- his season could be done. Moyes said on Friday that the on loan from Manchester City winger could require surgery to repair his injured foot, and if that is the case, his year would be done.

"Better not to take bait" – Director explains rejecting big Fulham offer
Fulham chased PSV Eindhoven's Ricardo Pepi throughout the winter market and failed to secure his services.

At the start of the recently concluded window, the Dutch club rejected Fulham's initial bid. On January 12th, PSV general manager Marcel Brands revealed Marco Silva's side offered €25m.

Fulham didn't give up and their last bid was around €35m, made towards the end of the window. There wasn't enough time for PSV to secure a suitable replacement for the American.

Eindhovens Dagblad journalist Rik Elfrink said PSV needed a 'prince on a white horse' to sanction a deadline move to Fulham.

The winter market in the Netherlands closed on Tuesday evening. ESPN NL caught up with PSV technical director Earnie Stewart to discuss their business and their decision to not let some players leave. This includes Pepi as PSV turned down Fulham's offers for him.

"It's true they were interested in Pepi, but we want to become champions and win the cup. So, in that respect, we're happy he's still here," he said.

"The market isn't such that you can simply find a replacement of Pepi's calibre. And if you do, what will it cost?"

Fulham could return in the summer
Earlier this week, claims from the Dutch press indicated Fulham may have reached an agreement with PSV for Pepi to join them in the summer.

The Eredivisie side's director didn't mention this. However, he did warn Fulham or another club keen on signing Pepi in the summer over his valuation.

"For us, it's better not to take the bait. He could become even more valuable. That's possible, but first and foremost, it's about his performance. You don't just let one of your top scorers go without being able to bring someone back," Stewart explained.

Fulham and Wolves in mix for Brazilian wonder-kid – Rivalling huge clubs
Fulham and Wolves have been named as new suitors for Brazilian wonderkid Breno Bidon. However, new background reporting shows clear alignment between Brazilian side Corinthians and the player's camp on delaying any move until the summer at least.

According to ESPN, both Fulham and Wolves are keeping close tabs on the 20-year-old midfielder in recent weeks. The interest, however, has remained at a monitoring stage. No proposal followed, and nothing advanced beyond initial checks.

That lack of progress reflects Corinthians' current stance. The club have not been impressed by the approaches made so far, which have come mainly from clubs seen as mid-level in the European market.

Inside the club, the view is that selling Bidon without proper planning could prove costly, both on the pitch and financially. There is no rush to negotiate, and the expectation is that stronger proposals will arrive later.

January approach runs into career plan
The same thinking explains why talks with Turkish side Fenerbahçe also went nowhere. ESPN claim that during the final days of the January window, Fenerbahçe contacted Bidon's representatives to explore a possible deal. The Turkish club tried to open talks, but the approach stalled quickly.

Corinthians and the player's entourage pointed to a defined career plan, which ruled out a winter exit and prioritised a transfer only after the European season ends.

'Big Six' links remain part of Breno Bidon background
That stance holds despite Bidon being strongly linked in recent months with some of the Premier League's biggest clubs. Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have all featured in reports around the midfielder.

Chelsea were the only side reported to have tested the waters with an offer. Arsenal and United limited their involvement to enquiries and information-gathering.

But for now, Bidon remains fully focused on his football in Brazil. His priority is to perform well over the next six months and keep his options open.

Fulham and Wolves understand the situation. Like the bigger clubs before them, they look set to wait unless the plan changes.

Fulham can change VAR for the greater good
Our season is proving to be an education in the true design flaws of VAR.

We've all seen the stat this weekend: Fulham have been denied a goal by VAR five times this season.

That's three more times than any other Premier League club. Of more than 50 VAR interventions, 12 have involved Fulham - the highest in the top flight. That number also equals half of our 24 league games so far this season.

Of all the clubs for this to happen to, VAR and PGMOL have unwillingly picked wisely.

Shahid Khan infamously labelled Fulham fans as "the richest and most educated fanbase in football". We are somewhat associated with sitting (not standing) up to argue with dignity. Fulham is a civilised establishment, after all. We tolerate, and we act politely. We understand the greater good of the game. We also know the devil is in the detail.

This season, Fulham's role when it comes to VAR is inadvertently teaching football fans all over the world about flaws in the system. We are showing every viewer a whole new realm of VAR discrepancies.

I will not list all the incidents. But for Manchester United at home and away, two of the most anticipated games in a season, the fans have left the ground discussing VAR. This fact alone indicates something is, simply, wrong. Nothing could be more "clear and obvious" (note: subjective interpretations of this phrase will apply week to week).

We feel these deep-seated frustrations at football's gravitations towards technology so strongly. Partly because Fulham have witnessed VAR's capacity to make jaws drop for 12 weeks out of 24.

Take re-refereeing. VAR should not generate new decisions for the on-field referee, unless being directed to do so by the on-field referee. When VAR's implementation limits were being drawn up, someone should have stopped to think. They should have asked "If we're meant to be favouring the referee's on-field decisions, is it right for VAR to make a request for the referee to consult a monitor?".

When Josh King was denied a goal because of re-refereeing, PGMOL issued a formal apology, but then VAR seemed to find a 'new' foul for the referee to examine at Old Trafford this weekend.

Also, take the 5cm tolerance level. When the call is so tight that the technology cannot definitively call a "black and white" offside; we've then been told benefit of the doubt is built into the semi-automated system.

When this tolerance level was being built, the engineers and/or developers should have taken a minute to pause. They should have turned to their masters and asked a question. The question should have been: "If we're making offside binary, why are we building contingencies for benefit of the doubt?". To build benefit of the doubt into a semi-automated system hints at an imperfect system that is no better than a human referee.

This technology is designed to help the decision-maker make a definitive decision. If the technology is not capable of helping an official make a definitive decision, you either stop implementing the technology all together, or you rethink how the technology will be used entirely.

In sum, we now have incorrect decisions made on the pitch, and painfully poor methods of VAR implementation off it. This is before we even begin to factor in the lengthy delays, psychological impact on in-game players and poor fan experience.

So, as a reluctant member of richest and most educated fanbase in football, I implore Fulham to do something that should come naturally. Offer an intelligent solution to a complex problem. Take this issue to the PL board and campaign for some form of systemic change at the end of the season. Champion the cause of making technology part of the spectacle via an appeal-based system. Or support genuine limits to ensure on-field officials can choose to defer to the technology at their own discretion.

Give the game back to the players, and most importantly give it back to the officials. The game should not be subject to the flawed implementation of imperfect technology that then accounts for its own deficiencies. That is something officials can do just fine on their own.

The total number of VAR in errors in the Premier League has already gone up since last season. If VAR issues are not addressed for the good of a game, eventually a courtroom will preside over the prospect of awarding a rematch (see Anderlecht v Genk circa 2023).

It's a precedent that could lead to more football matches being decided in a courtroom, where the broadcast rights will not be quite so lucrative.

Fulham sent Harry Wilson transfer message amid Everton approach - 'That's not disrespectful'
Harry Wilson is out of contract at Fulham in the summer and Everton made an approach for the midfielder during the recent winter transfer window

Fulham have been told they need to do everything they can to keep Harry Wilson after Everton made an approach for the midfielder. The ECHO understands that the Blues enquired about the Wales international during the January transfer window.

Fulham turned that down but now have a fight on their hands as Wilson's contract is set to expire at the end of the season. As well as Everton, a number of other clubs in the Premier League are believed to be monitoring the Welshman's situation.

Wilson, who has made 173 appearances for Fulham, scoring 34 goals and registering 43 assists, is yet to make a decision on his future at Craven Cottage.

But when asked if Marco Silva's side should try everything in their power to keep hold of Wilson, former Everton and Fulham forward Louis Saha, speaking to Gambling.com, replied: "They have to, he's been a revelation and has done really well.

"He has moved around quite a lot in a few years, so I think it's time for him to settle and show that he can, the same as Silva.

"I think he's already scored maybe eight or nine goals this year, he can achieve more because he's a very talented lad.

"He can play pretty much anywhere. It's very unpredictable because he switches sides and the flow comes inside the pitch. It's amazing, and he has great movement with the strikers.

"So I really like Fulham and what they offer him, and he scores screamers as well – so it's unbelievable."

Meanwhile, former Fulham captain Danny Murphy believes his old club can keep 'main man' Wilson – if they convince manager Silva to stay as well.

Silva's future at Craven Cottage remains uncertain, as his contract is set to expire at the end of this season. The Portuguese has yet to give his bosses any response to the offer of a three-and-a-half-year deal back in November.

It has not gone unnoticed that the ex-Everton boss has been slow to react to the prospect of signing a new contract and that has fuelled suggestions he will leave at the end of the campaign.

"The way he's playing, he's the main man," Murphy said on Wilson. "He's winning games for them time and time again. He's a brilliant finisher and he's playing the best football of his career.

"He seems happy where he is. With any footballer, you never really know their financial position or ambitions without knowing them personally.

"Is Harry Wilson going to go to a bigger club than Fulham and play every week? I don't think so, and that's not disrespectful.

"He just doesn't quite have the speed and athleticism to be a regular starter at a top-six club now. There are big teams who would love him as a squad player and play him accordingly. But family matters too.

"Is his family happy? Are his kids settled at school? He's the main man at Fulham, he's enjoying his football, and there's a lot to be said for waking up every morning knowing you're going to play.

"I think Fulham will offer him something good enough for him to want to stay. No-one would blame him if a bigger club came in and he backed himself to give it a go, but my gut feeling is that Fulham will reward him."

Before the Match of the Day pundit added: "There's also an argument that he's thriving under a manager he really believes in.

"If he thought the manager wasn't staying, why would he commit? But if Marco Silva signs, I think it massively increases the chances of Harry Wilson staying too."

Manager reveals where player's head is at after failed Fulham transfer
PSV Eindhoven manager Peter Bosz has revealed where Ricardo Pepi's head is at after his failed move to Fulham.

De Telegraaf cover comments from the PSV manager today. He was asked about Pepi following the drama throughout the January transfer window.

Pepi was the subject of ongoing and intense interest from Fulham throughout the winter window. They've been keen on the American striker since the summer and tried to get a deal done in this window too.

That led to long, drawn-out negotiations with PSV that often went backwards and forwards. The Dutch side showed little interest in a sale at first but soon started to sway as Fulham's bids increased.

Marco Silva's side eventually offered €35m late in the window, a fee they thought would tempt PSV into a sale. Reports around the potential deal indicated that Pepi was keen on the move to Craven Cottage and the Premier League.

Instead, PSV rejected it outright, believing that the January window was not an ideal time to sign. They had also left themselves with little time to find a replacement.

Thus, the potential deal was cancelled. Pepi will remain at PSV until the summer, when transfer speculation is likely to pick up once again. Bosz has spoken to him about that, and it appears all is well for the time being.

"I always talk to all my players, and I definitely sat down with Pepi for a bit, because this was obviously a topical issue," he said.

"So, I talk to him about it. How's he feeling? He's feeling like an American. He accepts things as they are. The most important thing now is that he gets fit as quickly as possible. He has to play well to earn a place in the United States squad. Hopefully, he can then have a good World Cup."

Potential sickener for Marco Silva over two summer transfer deals Everton could do
Everton are set for a big summer after having a quiet January – and two potential deals may leave Marco Silva upset.

David Moyes will now look to push Everton on in the second half of the season, with European football still a possibility.

Tyrique George came in on transfer deadline day, and it is hoped that he will prove to be a good replacement for Jack Grealish, who could be out for the season with his injury.

Hopefully Everton will finish well and have some kind of European football to show for their efforts.

That would go some way to attracting better talent to the Hill Dickinson Stadium in the transfer market.

That would go some way to attracting better talent to the Hill Dickinson Stadium in the transfer market.

One player Everton may look to try and sign in the summer is Harry Wilson, who currently stands to become a free agent.

The potential double Everton deal that could leave Marco Silva upset
Everton made an enquiry to sign Wilson at the end of the January window.

Ultimately though, the Wales international stayed put – and Fulham are now trying to extend his contract.

But there's a very real possibility that he leaves. He's in his prime, has been at Fulham for a few years now, and could bag himself a very big signing-on fee if he changes clubs this summer.

Everton may move for him, and that would surely upset Silva, who is a big fan of the winger.

It is not out of the question that Everton could have Wilson and George as their starting wingers in 2026/27.

Obviously, Everton will have the option to buy George in the summer, although currently it's unclear how much the clause is worth.

There has been a claim that George's buy option will be determined by how much he plays.

George making a permanent move to Everton is another deal that may sicken Silva, because Fulham saw a move for George fall through at the eleventh hour on deadline day last summer.

Tyrique George and Harry Wilson would be a fantastic wide pair
There are lots of ifs, buts and maybes at the moment, but the idea of Everton having George and Wilson as their starting wingers next season is exciting.

George is a player who's all about pace, one-vs-one dribbling and unpredictability.

Then you've got Wilson, a brilliant technician and playmaker, capable of creating and scoring. He also has the eye for the spectacular, and can change games in an instant.

Silva clearly hoped to have the pair on his wings at Fulham, so the notion of them both lining up in the blue of Everton is bound to have him feeling a bit uncomfortable.

How to watch Fulham vs Everton live: Stream link, TV channel, latest team news, prediction
Everton aim to climb into the top half by completing a season sweep over Fulham when the two sides clash at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

The Toffees need to turn draws into wins but have been much better and are closer to full-strength as they reach kickoff on a four-match Premier League unbeaten run. Jarrad Branthwaite is healthy, Idrissa Gana Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye are back from AFCON, and David Moyes is feeling better about his team as Thierno Barry has found his scoring touch and Tyrique George has arrived on loan from Chelsea.

Yet Everton will also look at their last four games and think there was so much more for them. They drew at home to lowly Wolves and newly-promoted Leeds, and needed every minute of their 97 at Brighton get a 1-1 draw,

Fulham are ninth on the table, above Everton on tie breakers, and Marco Silva's men are also hoping to find their way to consistent wins. The Cottagers have lost two-of-three following a six-match unbeaten run, and both their 1-0 loss at Fulham and 3-2 defeat at Manchester United left them wanting so much more.

ulham have been good at home of late but Everton's last two Premier League wins came away from Hill Dickinson Stadium. Jack Grealish's absence aside, this should be the best-equipped Everton squad in some time. Two good managers here, but who will find the back of the goal? Fulham 0-1 Everton.

It's clear what David Moyes should do with Everton newbie Tyrique George vs Fulham
Tyrique George is Everton's newest player, and David Moyes' decision over his new signing this weekend should be clear.

George was Everton's only arrival of the January transfer window, arriving on loan from Chelsea.

Everton will have an option to buy George, which will reportedly be determined by his level of involvement.

It's an exciting move by the club, who have been crying out for a bit of pace and unpredictability in the wide areas.

The youngster arrives with big promise, and fans are hoping to see him hit the ground running quickly.

And in order to do that, it's important that he gets a show of faith from David Moyes as soon as possible.

David Moyes should start Tyrique George vs Fulham
It is commonplace for football managers to withhold new signings from starting games when they have just joined a club.

We see it all the time and Moyes is no different. Just this season, Moyes put Jack Grealish and Thierno Barry on the bench for Everton's opening game against Leeds United, although he did start Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Grealish was through the door almost a week before that game with Leeds and Barry had been signed over a month before.

Against Fulham, Moyes should strongly consider throwing new signing George in from the start.

George may have arrived late in the day on Tuesday, but he'll still get a good few training sessions under his belt at Finch Farm before the game with Fulham on Saturday.

At the moment, Moyes has three other wing options to choose from and two of those – Tyler Dibling and Dwight McNeil – are not in good form.

And in the case of McNeil, who knows what frame of mind he'll be in after Crystal Palace's poor behaviour on transfer deadline day.

There is a strong case for Moyes to just get George in from the start against Fulham to try and let him build up some momentum immediately.

What's more, George has previous against Fulham, scoring his first Premier League goal at Craven Cottage for Chelsea.

George can bring an X-factor for Everton
Everton have not scored more than one goal in a game since the 4-2 defeat to Brentford on January 4.

It has been clear to see that Everton have trouble in the final third, but the arrival of George should give the Toffees a new kind of threat.

He's direct, and he'll use his pace to get at full-backs.

He can go on the outside, get to the byline and cut back, or he can come inside and a get a shot off himself.

George is far from one-dimensional and in theory, this should create more problems for the opposition, and more opportunities for Everton.

Raúl's perfect penalties
Raúl Jiménez's goal against Manchester United at the weekend was his 12th successful penalty in the Premier League, making him the standalone best spot-taker in the competition's history.

Some players have scored more than 12 penalties across their top flight careers, but of those who boast a 100 per cent record, nobody can better Raúl's stats, as his strike on Sunday moved him clear of Yaya Toure, with whom he was tied on 11.

To celebrate Raúl's phenomenal achievement, we look back at the dozen penalties that he's put away across his time in England's top flight, for both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham.

1. Wolves 2-3 Tottenham Hotspur (03.11.2018)
Wolves were three goals down when Raúl was fouled in the box midway through the second half. Ruben Neves actually took that kick, but the Mexican stepped up when they were later awarded another, confidently sending it into the opposite corner to which Hugo Lloris had dived.

2. Bournemouth 1-1 Wolves (23.01.2019)
This was a game of three penalties, with Josh King scoring and missing one for Bournemouth either side of Raúl's effort.

3. Wolves 1-1 Burnley (25.08.2019)
Raúl showed nerves of steel in stoppage time to secure a point for his side when he waited for Nick Pope to commit before rolling the ball the other way.

4. Wolves 1-1 Southampton (19.10.2019)
The third match in which a Raúl penalty saw Wolves come from behind to claim a point in a 1-1 draw, this one saw the 'keeper go the right way, but the striker thumped the ball with his instep into the corner.

5. Southampton 2-3 Wolves (18.01.2020)
Having trailed 2-0, Wolves fought back to win this one, with a cool Raúl penalty drawing them level, before the same man completed the turnaround late on.

6. Wolves 3-0 Everton (12.07.2020)
Raúl won the battle of wits with Jordan Pickford to give his side a lead in first half stoppage time, waiting for the England goalkeeper to commit before popping the ball in the opposite direction.

7. Wolves 3-1 Southampton (15.01.2022)
Raúl opened the scoring in this one by rolling home Wolves' first penalty of the season, which would also prove to be his last for the club, though the third time he'd netted against Southampton from the spot.

8. Nottingham Forest 0-1 Fulham (28.09.2024)
Raúl's first penalty for the Club might not have happened had Andreas Pereira had his way, but Raúl justified his decision to take the kick with an accurate lifted effort that cleared the reach of the goalkeeper.

9. Fulham 2-2 Ipswich Town (05.01.2025)
The only time he's bagged a brace of spot-kicks in the same Premier League game, the first was trademark Raúl, as he waited for the 'keeper to shift his weight one way before rolling the ball just off centre in the other direction. The goalie did actually manage to readjust his dive, but was unable to get anywhere near the ball regardless.

10. Fulham 2-2 Ipswich Town (05.01.2025)
His second spot-kick of the afternoon had a lot more pressure on it, after Raúl himself had won it in stoppage time. With a point at stake, he emphatically pearled his effort into the postage stamp of the goal.

11. Fulham 1-0 Nottingham Forest (22.12.2025)
Another unstoppage Raúl penalty earned Fulham three points just before Christmas, the goalkeeper left with no chance as he rockets one into the bottom left corner.

12. Manchester United 3-2 Fulham (01.02.2026)
Is this the best of the bunch? It may be the only time a Raúl penalty hasn't led to any points for Fulham, but there's no taking away from its quality. Senne Lammens' refusal to move until the last moment meant Raúl had to be perfectly accurate, and boy was he, sending a beautiful kick right into the top of the net. Such was the accuracy, that Lammens actually smiled and congratulated him afterwards.

Chukwueze battles Harry Wilson, 7 others for Fulham's January Goal of the Month
The Cottagers have released a shortlist featuring thirteen goals in contention for the monthly prize, with the Nigeria international's strike against Brighton & Hove Albion earning a place among the nominees.

Chukwueze's goal came in his first appearance following international duty with the Super Eagles at the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations as Fulham staged a comeback to secure a 2-1 victory over the Seagulls at Craven Cottage.

With eighteen minutes remaining, the winger drew Fulham level with a composed and clinical finish after latching onto a sublime pass from Joachim Andersen.

The Danish defender lofted a perfectly weighted ball over the Brighton defence to meet Chukwueze's intelligent run, and the AC Milan loanee calmly opened his body to guide the ball into the far corner.

In his quest to claim the award, Chukwueze faces competition from eight other Fulham players, including Tom Cairney, Jade Bradley, Harrison Reed, Aaron Loupalo-Bi, Kevin, Farhaan Ali Wahid and Harry Wilson, who leads the field with four nominations.

A deadline-day arrival from AC Milan last summer, Chukwueze has made an immediate impact in the Premier League, registering seven goal involvements in eleven appearances since joining the club.
