C Block

Started in 2019 and they're still working on it 7 years later,
Speculation aside does anybody have any idea when it might be finished and the compound in Bishops Park behind the Putney End removed and the Park returned to how it was,
We originally had the compound for two years!!
When you consider how long it took to build the stadiums at Everton and Tottenham 🤨

It'll never be finished it's part of the contract (in the very very small print in the subsections).... We're allowed to take 1 foot of Bishops Park every year until we get to the Hurlingham Club

I Ronic

According to my ex. It will never be finished because a man did it. That was often more aimed directly at me. Occasionally though she expanded that to include all men.

This is true. But when we get there we have to give up football and switch to croquet.

Carborundum

Visited Fulham Pier on a non match day with Mrs Carborundum recently.  Both rather impressed.

To that particular piece of land I did wonder if part of the plan might be along the lines of "After seven years no-one seems to miss it too much, so here's a plan to use it to redevelop the Putney End and in return the community gets X,Y and Z.  How about it?"

Current Restoration Status (February 2026)
Grassed Areas: Two-thirds of the compound area was successfully reinstated with grass in December 2025.
Protection Period: The newly laid grass is currently being protected behind fencing to allow it to establish fully before being opened for public use.
Landscaping: New shrub beds have been planted, and a tree-planting program is underway, with the club committed to planting five new trees for every one removed during construction Estimated return to public use this June/July

That explains why when they recently opened up Fulham's Trophy Cabinet, half a dozen Road Cones and some bloke in a hi viz jacket holding a Stop/Go sign fell out.

Interesting that they're laying grass, it won't be mud lawns like the rest of the park?
