Fulham 3-1 Burnley: Marco Silva brushes off contract talk over his and Harry Wilson's future
Fulham boss Marco Silva has refused to offer any insight into his and Harry Wilson's contract situation at the club.

Silva's side fought back from a goal down to claim a 3-1 home victory over struggling Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

Josh King scored his first Premier League goal to cancel out Zian Flemming's opener, before Wilson put the Cottagers ahead in the 73rd minute.

Raul Jimenez then kept his composure from the spot to extend his own Premier League record of having the best penalty conversion rate in the competition's history (14/14).

Silva brushes off contract talk
Speaking after the win, Silva turned down the opportunity to shed any light on his contract situation, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.

"I am always talking to the club [about my contract] - we have been talking, and we can talk whenever of we want," Silva told reporters as per Sky Sports News.

Like Silva, Wilson is also out of contract in the summer, leading to speculation about whether he will extend his stay or look for a fresh challenge elsewhere.

Commenting on Wilson's situation, Silva said, "No news with Wilson's contract. When we have news, you will hear it."

Wilson has been Fulham's standout attacker this term, having scored 10 goals and contributed six assists in 29 Premier League appearances this season.

Fulham in the fight for European qualification
The 3-1 win over Burnley moved the Cottagers onto 44 points from 31 matches, leaving them in ninth place and four points adrift of the top six.

With the possibility of more European places opening up, Silva insists his team are "going to fight" for the right to be in one of UEFA's club competitions next season.

"We are there and we are going to fight," the Fulham boss said. "We have to be pleased to be in that position.

"We have to create positivity around the club and the fight because three or four years ago, no one would believe we would be in this position, but now we look forward and demand more from ourselves.

"It's nice, I want to put more of this kind of pressure on us."

Fulham's first game after the international break will take place against reigning Premier League champions Liverpool on April 11.

Fulham to resume transfer 'talks' with 13-goal striker this summer
Fulham will look to strike a deal with the player when the next transfer window opens up

Fulham will continue 'talks' with PSV striker Ricardo Pepi this summer with a deal currently on hold, according to GOAL. The Whites remain keen on luring the player to England in the next transfer window. He has caught the eye over in Holland over recent times.

Marco Silva's side won 3-1 at home against Burnley this weekend. Josh King, Harry Wilson and Raul Jimenez got their goals against the Clarets at Craven Cottage. Next up for the London outfit is an away trip to Liverpool in early April.

Fulham transfer update regarding PSV striker Ricardo Pepi
Fulham still appear to be keen on snapping up Pepi later this year. He is seen as someone to boost their attacking department for next season. If they are able to land him, he would give them more competition and depth at the top end of the pitch.

Pepi, 23, is a USA international with 34 caps to his name and he will be looking forward to the World Cup. He joined PSV back in 2023 and he hasn't looked back since. The forward has become one of their most prized assets and has scored 39 goals in 95 outings altogether and they will now face a battle to retain his services.

Prior to his switch to Rotterdam, he spent two years at FC Augsburg. However, he struggled to make an impact in Germany. Instead, the FC Dallas academy graduate was shipped out on loan to FC Groningen in the Eredivisie to get some experience under his belt.

PSV sporting director Earnie Stewart has said: "In the end, no agreement was reached on the moment when responsibility for the player would be transferred. We were already in talks with Fulham during the winter break, when they made their move just before the transfer window closed. At that point, we couldn't bring in a replacement anymore, so the transfer couldn't go through. But a week later, we resumed discussions, and the process got underway again.

"That issue of responsibility for the player was a very important detail throughout. We did get a bit closer on it, but in the end, we were still too far apart."

He added: "Ricardo really wanted this move. It's mainly a frustrating situation for Ricardo. Of course, we're happy to keep a good striker at the club...[PSV manager] Peter [Bosz] will have to discuss this with him, but knowing Ricardo, it won't affect him. He doesn't hold any grudges against PSV."

Who has made Troy's Premier League team of the week?
After every round of Premier League matches this season, BBC football pundit Troy Deeney will give you his team and manager of the week.

Here are this week's choices. Do you agree? Give us your thoughts using the comments form at the bottom of this page.

Jordan Pickford (Everton): One of the massive moments in Everton's 3-0 win against Chelsea was his brilliant save to deny Enzo Fernandez. He has come up pretty big in such moments for Everton this season and, hopefully, he can continue to do that for England in the summer at the World Cup. A week ago he made a costly mistake against Arsenal but he has picked himself up again to deliver for the Toffees.

Neco Williams (Nottingham Forest): It was a huge crunch game for Forest as they travelled to Tottenham, with Premier League status on the line for both sides. And Williams put in a massive performance to help his side get a crucial victory in the relegation fight. He bagged two assists, delivering when it mattered most.

Matty Cash (Aston Villa): I did not think West Ham provided a whole lot of threat going forward but Cash was solid and kept things together for Villa. He was able to just keep ticking over. He offered a lot going forward and was also able to shut down everything the Hammers offered in attack.

James Tarkowski (Everton): It was another solid performance from the Everton defender. He showed his experience and control, and was always where he needed to be. He made those tackles when needed and more importantly was a calming presence in their backline. How Chelsea would love a centre-back with that kind of gumption, especially given the shaky defending they have shown at times.

Chris Rigg (Sunderland): It was a solid performance from Rigg in a memorable Tyne-Wear derby. He did not do anything exceptional against Newcastle but he did everything really, really well. With Rigg, you know what you are getting from him.

James Garner (Everton): He could have just chilled out after getting called up to the England squad this week. But instead, he cracked on and put in a great performance. It was a lovely assist from him to Beto for Everton's opener. Having played with him at Watford, I know he's all about high energy and big tackles. He has got it all and I hope he does well for England to force his way into that World Cup squad.

John McGinn (Aston Villa): He's their captain, leader and heartbeat. It's been two massive performances in the space of a week from him. Villa are a decent team. But McGinn makes them a great one. If they are to finish in the top five and challenge for the Europa League title, they will need him to continue performing at this level.

Harry Wilson (Fulham): He has made a habit of scoring big goals and he did that again this week. I wonder how they are going to replace him if he decides to leave. They are not going to spend £60m on somebody with his qualities. They need him to sign a new contract as he is a massively important part of that Fulham squad.

Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United): It feels like the Portuguese midfielder is becoming a permanent fixture in the team of the week. You have to put him in again after another goal, and also forcing the James Hill own goal. How long can United remain average and keep him before he decides it is time to leave the club?

Beto (Everton): This week, we have two forwards who are at very different stages in their career. I am not sure Beto is a long-term solution for Everton's goalscoring issues, but manager David Moyes is getting a tune out of him at the moment. It is impressive considering how poor he was earlier in the season.

Danny Welbeck (Brighton): He was overlooked by Thomas Tuchel again for the England squad, at a time when they need back-up to captain Harry Kane. But Welbeck continued to deliver for the Seagulls with a double, to defeat reigning champions Liverpool, and take his tally to 12 goals for the season.

David Moyes (Everton): The game between Everton and Chelsea was a perfect encapsulation of old school against new school. Blues boss Liam Rosenior is still trying to find his way at the start of his managerial career but Moyes put together a perfect gameplan to secure a comprehensive victory. The Toffees were bolder and stronger in every aspect of the game and it was a massive win for them.
