Is it my imagination playing tricks or are we getting some horrendous decsion lately.  Our 2nd goal,   we see them allowed all the time so why us.???

Footnote...I dislike quite a few of the new refs.  Looks like they want to be star of the show with their attitude. Maybe it is just me but after watching and playing football for many, many years I dont like what I see in the premier div.

Oliver is the best ref in this country by a country mile.

Incidentally, it's played four won four with Oliver in the middle this season...

I would not have a problem with it being disallowed, the problem is you see players grappling with each other all the time and referees even say "grappling" is allowed.
Yet again too much inconsistency as goals are given very often.

A good fair grapple is fine, but Berg was physically holding and preventing Martinez going to the ball, I know that keepers are over protected, but that was a clear foul.

You could clearly see martinez holding berge, why is it a foul one way but not the other? Doesn't make sense to me.

I don't see want advantage Martinez would get by holding Berge, surely his concern was getting to the ball.

We've had some shocking decisions this season - as ever - with the worst two being Josh's 'goal of the month' and TC's pen against West Ham when VAR decided to re-referee a perfectly sound call by the onfield official - clearly what it's NOT spose to be there for. It could keep West Ham up so for me it wins shocka of the season. As Raul is our penalty taker you can safely say it was a disallowed goal.

Maybe Martinez is being clever and fooling the ref into thinking he is being fouled. If Berge had just stood his ground and kept his arms by his side then I'm sure the goal would have stood.

You'd have to ask him as we'll never know, but what we do know is that whatever Berge was doing to Martinez, Martinez was doing it back and pushed Berge really hard when the ball was delivered. I still don't understand why the call went that way.

I think Oliver is one of the better referees but did not think last Saturday's game was one of his best.
The first half did not let the game flow and was not consistent when it came to fouls given.

First minute of second half he books Castagne for a foul identical to what three or four players had committed in the first half which did not lead to any bookings? For some reason the higher booking count in the second half seems acceptable nowadays?
It's consistency everyone craves for!

He may have spoken with teams at halftime and told them that they have had their warnings and bookings will start to happen, this is only my thoughts and maybe completely wrong.

The most frustrating part of the day for me was Buendia's play acting. Gets fouled, rolls on the ground, as soon as our player gets carded he leaps up and gives Konsa a high five. Just obvious gamesmanship.

Have a look at the goal scores by Everton as Fulham this season. Their centre half, think it was Tarkowski, was backing into Leno as the corner was taken. No attempt to play the ball it was purely to stop Leno moving off his line. Goal given, so what is the difference?

I don't know, I'm just giving my view on this game.

Not really sure just how clear that foul may have been.  I've seen keepers getting mugged and knocked about much more than this play and nothing called.Â
