When I saw JKA never played for the u21s last night I wondered if he would be involved today. Interesting.

Appreciate we may be on the beach given our more recent performances and possibly lose today and with that any decent chance of Europe against a relatively in form Villa, but I can't help but think that had this been our starting lineup consistently over that time then we may have been better off than we are now.


Only changes I'd make are a fully fit tete for Castagne and Iwobi in for either of Lukic and Berge

Iwobi in the middle has mostly been terrible though. A better option would have been a new midfielder + one of Lukic/Berge, but there's nothing I've seen from Iwobi in the middle to suggest it's better than Berge-Lukic duo.

I was going to do a post earlier asking the team Marco would select, it's exactly what I would have guessed. The only debate was king or ESR. I hope I'm wrong but I expect the same kind of performance as in recent weeks.

I'd play him on the right in this set up we have today. Chukwueze-rw, Wilson-am and ESR-lw would be my choice for today. ESR is better on the left than Wilson and Chukwueze, Wilson can play in the middle and Chukwueze is at his best at rw, and by some margin.

If as other posters have said it's Chucky on the right and ESR on the left then great, unfortunately I think it'll be Wilson on the right when he should be benched based on recent performances there, and Chucky on the left to accommodate that

Still the best midfield duo we have available. Controlled the game today for the most part against a very strong Villa team that's 4th in the table(level on points with the 3rd) and in Europa League semi-finals. Iwobi + one of Berge/Lukic in the middle and we lose today.
