Only the managerial issue left to be announced!

Read a lot more posts perhaps some in anger of wanting Marco to now leave whether his taken us as far as he can or whether stringing us along who knows? I am still Silva in camp but whatever issues had to be resolved I ask myself why after all this time has it not been resolved? It can't be financial as we hear best ever package on offer for a Fulham manager. There was also talk last weekend that his been given even more power on recruitment. So has he agreed to take on another vacancy if that was the case the board of Fulham will already know this and where his off to.
If negotiations have been ongoing over the weekend with Shad in town then you would hope it's imminent we hear any day now if Marco remains or leaves? I am guessing here but to have not made announcement on Marco future as Fulham manager must be touch & go from both sides? He has a large coaching contingent? Surely it's not the sentimental route of giving him a leaving fanfare against Newcastle?
There was reports about Benfica last weekend but have not read or heard any UK media outlets having anything concrete on what's happening at Fulham.
We shall see and it will all come out in the wash no doubt but I can only think it's just the white smoke to follow anytime now?

Not only has the dust settled but I actually saw plenty of Tumble Weed blowing round ground the in our last home game.

I assumed he was waiting for confirmation that Mourinho was leaving Benfica. He's already said it's not conditional on Fulham getting into Europe. Can't see an opening in any of the bigger Prem clubs - he wouldn't be seen as a boost to season ticket sales but Lisbon would be an understandable move

Yes good point and could see that happening. Still the biggest team in Portugal crack at European competition every season might lead him to a big job further down the line. Will have to accept when the big teams come calling for better players even teams like Benfica tend to sell. Gone are the days when the Portuguese teams get the pick of all the Brazilian talent in early.

Yeah, pretty much book closed.  Hard to get too excited about these last couple games.  Disappointing ending to the season.

Now we look forward to summer transfer business and how FFC will build a team that can still maintain mid table or better and avoid the drop zone......

With regards to Jose Mourinho just said on wireless that it's all but agreed he will return to Real Madrid for next season. Perhaps Silva going to Benfica could be on?

It makes the most sense to me. He will be at a top European club in European competitions.....and he speaks Portuguese  ::smile::

The only thing left in this season that I'm interested in is if Spurs can muddle it up and get themselves relegated.  Would love to see it.  It doesn't happen very often, probably decades, when you see one of the so-called 'top six' teams take gas.  Fingers crossed for a Leeds result in todays' action.

I can just about understand our drop off in form this season, it being the end of Marco's contract. Doesn't mean I like it but I sort of get it.
What really p1ssed me off was last season's similar end of season collapse, for that there was zero excuse.
