Quote from: Whitestone on May 17, 2026, 08:24:52 PMHave we played some great stuff this season ? If we have it's been in short supply. The Silva contract stuff has undoubtedly had a negative impact on players and supporters IMO. No one person is bigger than the club. I don't believe the club should have allowed him to dictate the situation as he appears to be doing.

well the form table since west ham has us primed for relegation. and we were part of the europe conversation still so there is some merit to us performing. feels a long way away though now I agree

We have the points on the board so we were winning games but I don't think the football has been great at any point this season. Even when we've won games have been flat.

Jurgen Klopp had 'heavy metal' football when he was at Liverpool

Fulham have become more 'Come Dancing.' Slow, boring and predictable.

We started the season with a bad run of results and decisions, which seemed to blow the season from the beginning. If we hadn't, we'd have been higher and maybe the players would have been more motivated. We left ourselves too much to do.

We've been poor in the last two months when Europe was in hour hands.  I'm not sure we left ourselves too much to do. West Ham, Forest, Brentford, Bournemouth, Wolves were all winnable games but all we managed were three draws. Scoring goals has become a major issue that Silva couldn't solve. Even if we'd won our last two games we'd be comfortably in 7th position today with a great shot at Europe next Sunday against Newcastle. But we put in another miserable performance against a very poor Wolves side.

We'd have had less to do if we'd not started so badly. Of course it was achievable but needn't have been left so difficult.

My point is that we didn't have much to do. If we'd won a couple more games in March and April we probably would have achieved our target. We were still in with a shout two games ago.

Yes, but see above.

I don't deny what you have stated but I repeat, we were still in this two games ago. Those opening games didn't blow the season. We got ourselves into a good position and then blew it just as we did last season. The reasons why are for another debate and we'll all have our thoughts on that too.

I think we are, as it's been said, bang average. Now we can either be glad of another season where we never really had to worry about relegation or bemoan the fact we never pushed for a European place.

Sometimes be careful of what you wish for.....look at West Ham since Moyes left.

I'm not sure rolling the dice is a wise move although that might just not be in our control with Marco seemingly unwilling to commit to a new contract.

I think I agree with others on here, that has had a negative impact on the players.

I fear Newcastle will do another number on us this Sunday too. 🫣

Having said all that I'm still renewing my season ticket as what the hell, we ARE Fulham so come on you whites!
