Excuse the ignorance but:
WHO.

Deeping_white

No chance he leaves Bodo for us, I'm fairly sure part of his contract with them gives him basically full control over all football related aspects of the club

A football person making football decisions - novel approach

Didn't someone say in a different thread that he doesn't have much English? I think it's fine for players to not have much English, but you need the manager to have a working knowledge of the language at least.

I didn't say it had to be fluent. Marco's English is more than fine. To be fair, I've never heard Kjetil speak.

He has good moments

ArcticOctopus

Just watched an interview from a couple of months ago. He seems decently fluent. Probably as good as Marco, if not a little better.

Then it must've been some other Nordic manager I read about. It would be kind of rare for someone Nordic to not have good English.

Yeah, I've been to Norway a couple of times and I never ran into anyone that didn't know English.

Marco's English is fine - he just has a strong accent. It doesn't mean he's not fluent.

Plumber I know has heard 'a whisper' that Guardiola will be the next Fulham manager. That's Miguel 'que? que? Meester Fawlty??'  Guardiola who works in Torremolinos as a waiter.

Why Knudsen would suddenly settle for a mid table prem club would be absolutely beyond me to be honest. He has turned down a lot of clubs in the past, Ajax and Celtic among them. Apparently he wants full control over basically every aspect of the clubs infrastructure. Would Tony and Shahid let him take the wheel and transform the club completely? Doubtful. It would be a massive gamble but what he has achieved at Bodö is massive. Whats most impressive is that they arent a one hit wonder, they arent just Lucky or reliant on a couple of really talented key players. They are year in year out demolishing bigger clubs.

The bigger question would be if we think that what he applied to a small Norwegian club is completely transferable to a much better league where the competition is ruthless? Im not sure. It would like mean a transitional phase into something completely new and the changes could have a negative impact in the coming seasons until the team would adapt.

So looking at what someone is doing in another league and country, thinking its easy to transfer that to the prem is quite naive. We all remember when the club looked at a manager who shined on the international stage and decided we want exactly that, thinking Lawrie could just transfer that Northern Ireland magic into the prem. We let him shape the side, bring in some of his players. The outcome wasnt great, to say the least

With that being said, I would love for Knudsen to be our manager but I cant see why he would suddenly settle for a side like us and/or why TK would allow someone else complete control over pretty much every aspect of the club

Nero

Also doesnt have a record of selling players for big profit

Most probably nothing in it,my post was about the 2 major bets on the Asian Markets. Probably people with too much money to afford huge bets,or it could be someone in the know.
