Alonso was brought in to instil discipline but undermined by Florentino Perez when Vinicius Jr threw a strop. Be very interesting to see how VJ responds to Jose's tough love.

Reading through the op all sounds positive except for Berge who will not fit in with that midfield philosophy. High pressing is not his forte

I find foreign young recruits seem to be more mature than our boys whether it's coaching or training I don't no the biggest eye opener was the 6 boys sent out on loan to national league and bottom league did alright the year before inunder21s but on their loans nothing special they are all about 20,even fig row soon to be 21 is not ready why I wish I new we need to have 5 homegrown in our squad to allow us to spend more on incoming recruits this problem needs to be rectified that's when you need full time staff or we will be fleeced by the bigger clubs we won't be able to afford the premier league.
