Arbeloa again hints at more Fulham signings
Fulham head coach Alvaro Arbeloa has reiterated that he expects the club to make further additions to the squad before the transfer window closes.

Speaking ahead of Tuesday night's deadline, Arbeloa said the Whites could strengthen in more than one area.

"We could improve our squad in any position," he said.

"I am looking for players who can fit in my system and the way I want to play. We are looking to improve the squad in the next days for sure."

Arbeloa also suggested there could be further departures before the window shuts.

Asked about Luc De Fougerolles and what the season ahead might hold for him, the Spaniard said: "We have been talking about him, what is the best option for him. We have to make a decision over the next few days on what is best for him."

Alderete To Start, O'Nien On The Bench | 4-2-3-1 Sunderland Predicted Lineup Vs Fulham
Sunderland will welcome Fulham at the Stadium of Light this Sunday afternoon as they hope to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Black Cats suffered a tough 2-1 loss at the hands of Ipswich Town last weekend, so they would be eager to bounce back by securing a win versus the Cottagers this weekend.

Regis Le Bris will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make one change to his first team for this clash. Omar Alderete could get a chance to impress from the start of this game, while Luke O'Nien makes way for him and drops to the bench.

4-2-3-1 Sunderland Predicted Lineup To Face Fulham

Defence

Robin Roefs will play in goal for the Black Cats after conceding two goals in his last league outing. Dan Ballard will function alongside Omar Alderete at the heart of the Sunderland backline as they hope to keep a solid shape on the defensive end of the field.

Thomas Meunier will try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Reinildo Mandava hopes to impress on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to go forward and express themselves inside the Fulham half.

Luke O'Nien will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield
Noah Sadiki and Granit Xhaka will operate as the holding midfielders for the Wearside club. Their main focus would be to make life difficult for the visitors in the middle of the park and engineer some decent opportunities for their teammates to score.

The gifted trio of Nilson Angulo, Enzo Le Fee and Trai Hume will play just ahead of them as part of Le Bris' attack. All three of them need to be at their best if the Black Cats are to earn all three points at the Stadium of Light this weekend.

Chris Rigg and Chemsdine Talbi will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack
Brian Brobbey will lead the line for Sunderland up top. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet after failing to do so against Ipswich last weekend.

Wilson Isidor will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if required.

Álvaro Arbeloa's Fulham give up on one Real Madrid youngster, but consider move for another
Premier League outfit Fulham are continuing to keep a close eye on the academy setup at La Liga giants Real Madrid ahead of the upcoming summer transfer deadline.

This comes amid the understanding that Manuel Ángel is the latest Blancos talent to have made his way onto the radar of those in the boardroom at Craven Cottage.

Fulham and Real Madrid have of course already done business on a pair of occasions this summer. After Álvaro Arbeloa took his managerial talents to West London, the former defender quickly cast his eye back to Spain's capital for reinforcements.

This ultimately culminated in both Gonzalo García and César Palacios following their ex-manager to the Premier League.

Arbeloa's targets at Valdebebas did not end there, with the 43-year-old having also set his sights on the services of Thiago Pitarch. But after it was made clear that the midfield starlet features firmly in the plans of José Mourinho and his staff, Fulham's headmaster is now understood to have switched focus to yet another Real Madrid youngster.

As per a report from Marca:

'With Thiago Pitarch ruled out, the English club are considering Manuel Ángel as an alternative.'

It is added that Ángel, a 22-year-old midfielder, is in active negotiations with Cádiz over a potential late-window move to Spanish football's 2nd tier, but Fulham could yet swoop to reunite the Castilla talent with former teammates García and Palacios in England's capital.
