The owl actually is the team mascot of the team that player was facing that day. The owl flies around the stadium at match days and was, today, stupid enough to sit down on the pitch. That made it even worse as he basically kicked their mascot to pieces.
No forum is complete without a silly Belgian participating!

I hope he's prosecuted. I like owls.

although if he did it because its their mascot it would be funny if it wasnt an owl (like a crow or pigeon)
