Can't believe it myself..  time passes so quickly..

Just been reading over the reports again regarding the incident and the court case, and also one particular blog that totally tarnished Matthews memory. But 4 years for the manslaughter is still a sick joke, the guy was out in time for the next World Cup!!!  :014:

Scrumpy

Can't believe it is 13 years since that day. It was just at the start of our climb up the Leagues, and I remember the atmosphere was pretty ugly from the start that day.

I only knew Foxy by sight, but I bet he would have enjoyed the roller coaster ride we have had since. A really pointless waste of life. We all get FAR too wound up by this game at times!

RIP
English by birth, Fulham by the grace of God.

I have nothing to add to what has already been said.

RIP Foxy and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family on this day. Probably the blackest day in Fulham fan history.
If you wake up in the morning and nothing hurts, you are most likely dead

In my thoughts his memory will always be in the hearts of FFC fans

13 years!unfortunatley remember it like yesterday,as  others have said a nasty atmosphere that day,I was approached several times by gillingham goons,'where's your crew?,your all going to get it etc etc..'I was a bit naive and wasnt aware of any real bad feelings between the 2 sets of fans, was there history before this?I still maintain the police could've done more at the end of that match with segregration, it was obvious something would happen, although I dont think anyone thought it would end in such tragic circumstances.
R.I.P Matt.

MATTY

13 years i remember it vividly, we took about 20 kids from the club aged between 6-10, when we got there we found that Gillingham had given us tickets right in the middle of the home fans, from the moment we got their we received so much abuse we had kids crying, we reported to stewards/police asking to be moved over to the away section but they made us stay there. At the end of the game we asked if we could be escorted across the pitch to leave with our own fans but no we had to leave amongst all the home fans, we refused to move and sat there eventualy we were taken across the pitch, by then of course it had all happened outside and we had to wait, we had no idea what had gone on.

That is one place i vowed never to go to again,

Foxy
did not know you personally although i knew who you were and seen you on a number of occasions chatting with my son and his mates RIP mate.
