New keeper?

A strange one this, but according to Footafrica365 27-year-old Cameroonian goalkeeper Carlos Kameni is flying to England this weekend/early next week and is "99% certain" to sign with us.

Seems a bit weird that we'd sign Espanyol's first choice keeper with Schwarzer and Stockdale in the squad though, but who knows.

Ugh, he's very eccentric.

If we are letting Schwazer go for a few million and bringing in this guy on a free then it makes sense economically but doesn't footballing wise.

Schwarz has another season in him.

Stockdale should get first dibs with the Europa League matches and the League Cup to increase his experience and prepare him for the #1 shirt.

Not sure of the point of Kameni coming in unless one of Schwarz or Stockdale are moving on.

You do get the feeling a lot of this stuff is merely agent-planted, to get the player a move or a better contract where he is now. Clearly unless either Schwarzer or Stockers is on the move, there's no vacancy for a keeper at all.

We've been linked with him the last couple of years. As per others, it would be a strange signing if Mark and Stockdale are staying so I guess one of them is off.
