I caught the game on my computer yesterday. The NEW KIT?? eeeeek. It is not just the style, the white shorts, but the tight fit looks ridiculous. I guess it must be comfortable but it certainly doesn't look it. Any comments? Also, how do the expect to sell any to fans, undeniably not quite as fit as the players? I certainly wouldn't wear one but I still have my adidas shirt, last season of the old crest. I treasure it. :54:

Well Ive never played at the profesional level, for whatever reason, despite my solid footwork and AJ like speed (must be because my EJ like level of awareness). However, a lot of my team mates on my college team like wearing the skin tight under armor type clothing, it might just be a placebo thing, but I can say it makes you feel more athletic. Kind of weird but its hard to explain. That being said we wear that UNDER our shirt/shorts, not as the main part.

Just had a thought but maybe the tighter kit makes things like shirt pulling less of a problem? eh i dont know

I'm sure I read recently, Tommies email reply?, that there is a players panel to approve? the kit, so some of them must like it

a couple of seasons ago Birmingham had a 'fans panel' that got to vote on their new kit, don't know if that was successful or not

Yes that was last year's kit with the kind of white cross thing going on. Looked pretty good I think and I assume it sold more too. Shame they ended up getting relegated in it ...

the skin tight shirt makes them hard to be pulled, not easy to get hold of.

Which is why in the NFL they try rub grease on the super tight shirts (although not allowed and nobody allegedly does it)there are some big lads shining like they have been sweating 100 pounds even before the game starts

Surely shirt pulling is a problem to be addressed by the Ref, not by kit manufacturers...?

yes, but it also aids the ref. A stretchy, slim fitting shirt, if grabbed, is so stretchy it does little more than show the ref what a grub the defender is. Especially since we wear white.

Would Bobby have suffered that injury last season in the skin tight top? Was it the trip or the fact the shirt was getting pulled that done him?
