Imagine what the thread would look like if we had lost to Hull 3-0 in a pre-season friendly. The anti-Jol contingent would have a field day.  :dft012:

Yeah, but Hull had a huge advantage -- Bullard was suspended.  :011:

What we do for others will live on. What we do for ourselves will die with us

Well, when two such huge clubs collide strange results sometimes happen.  092.gif

Meanwhile, we'll just plod along in Europe on our way to our next European final.

I notice that the report gives a brief mention to the first two Hull goals, yet completely ignores the third. Imagine if that had been a report on a Fulham friendly, I can think of one poster on TIFF who would be bursting blood vessels as he typed a vitriolic attack on the press for their anti-Fulham bias, complete with multiple exclamation marks!!!!!!!

I admit I would laugh like a drain if Dalglish fails spectacularly after his underhand way of undermining Hogson last season.

Quite! I feel it's going to be a strange season - I was a Hughes-basher then reluctant Hughes-backer last season, and now my role has been reversed...

Mr Fulham

Me too. I still feel quite protective towards 'our Roy' and it would be bloody hilarious if King Kenny falls flat on his face. How much more money has he had, compared to what Roy had?!
English by birth, Fulham by the grace of God.

It is interesting how the Dalglish detractors keep shifting their time horizons for his potential failure. Wasn't he supposed to take Liverpool down last season? Oh, but he got lucky with Suarez...

Its funny how spending £111m and complete control of the transfers can shift the goalposts!

Pata

The goalposts were shifted back in January with the net spend of half-Konchesky. PS tbf I am not completely comfortable with these massive transfer fees for English players.

It could go either way I think. However, If I was building a championship team, England would be the last place I would go to look for players.

On current form Hull will come up at the expense of Liverpool.

HatterDon

If this were a Liverpool forum, I'd say something about how I think they'll finish in the top four this season. Since it ISN'T a Liverpool forum, I'm just wondering why we're all playing handball with Pata instead of being concerned about Fulham.  fp.gif

Agreed, HatterDon. Fulham fans pay more attention to items such as Klinsmann taking over Team USA.
