Fulham are considering a move for Aston Villa right-back Luke Young.

Villa will listen to offers for Young, Carlos Cuellar and Habib Beye as they will all be Bosmans next summer.

Rangers are expected to sign Spanish stopper Cuellar when he recovers from a knee injury.

And ex-Charlton and Spurs defender Young, 32, whose family live in Wimbledon, is keen on a return to the capital.

hmmm, looked pretty crap vs us. and way way way too old.

I agree but a further source says we approached him Saturday. So we may be in a bit of a panic for finding the right man. This source says his source was a good source. The source that says it was a good source is a reliable and trustworthy source. So it is worth keeping the source in a bottle for a day or two.

he didn't want us to lose, maybe. I think Luke Young would be a solid option.

btw: Why not sign both, Aurier and Luke Young, and let Kelly leave for Pompey? 092.gif

Chutney

he is no spring chicken but I think having a natural right back with his experience would be useful, if only for this season to fill a gap while we search for a long term solution in the future. I would be confident with a back line of:

RIISE HANGELAND HUGHES YOUNG

Senderos can fill in for european games and whenever else he is needed as he has demonstrated that he can do a good job but I think the defensive partnership of hughes and hangeland is so solid that it needs to be brought back  092.gif

I think Luke Young would be a solid option. Get him to replace Salcido and I would be happy with that.
Fulham for life!

Hmm I was more interested when we were linked with his partner at left back.
Solid sort of game on Saturday but does he really fit the new profile of a younger more athletic FFC.

No doubt he could do a reasonable job but I would love someone who had the athletic build and ability to force the like of Ashley Young into back tracking.

yes i like the idea of  signing Aurier and Young, as people have said one player to develope and one to fill the gap. I really want to hear of a striker news from a reliable source though, somebody proven, not old and not injury prone!

Has everyone forgotten baird?

Exactly. Baird over Young every time for me.

The answer apparently is "yes". On the evidence of Saturday I would have Baird rather than Luke Young every day of the week.

I still think that RB is Baird's weakest position.

Thought he was brilliant at rb last season myself, only time he looked out of depth was at Old Trafford but then again, so did the whole team.

I agree, but in my opinion he was best when he played in the central midfield position with Jesus.
