Mark Schwarzer & Arsenal

Bob Wilson was on 5Live yesterday and was asked about the Arsenal goalkeeping position. He's an Arsenal insider, friend of Wengers and their former goalkeeping coach. He can be expected to know the true situation.

He said that last summer Arsenal tried hard to attract a top Premier League keeper and offered big money.

"Schwarzer?" he was asked and instantly said "no". He wouldn't give a name but the clues he gave strongly suggested Pepe Reiner.

We know that a bid for Schwarzer was made early in the window but it looks likely that Arsenal only returned to him (if indeed they did) late on when we had no chance of finding a replacement and they'd run out of options.

Good. Let Roy Hodgson worry about keeping his keeper and lets hope the French baguette leaves our Hangeland alone as well.
If you wake up in the morning and nothing hurts, you are most likely dead

Hangers just gives the impression that he really loves FFC.  He was grinning ear to ear yesterday and double fist pumping the Hammy end.

He has been consistent all along in saying he is happy and not looking to go anywhere, so i'm not wondered about the big blonde stickman.
At clubs with bigger memberships, their supporters only touch their colours, but at FFC we have spirit. Fulham people can touch that spirit - they are the real Cottagers, they are the club
