TIGERISH MARTIN JOL ROARS DEFIANCE

Mousa Dembele was controversially sent off against Wisla Krakow

Saturday October 22,2011

By Simon Yeend

MARTIN JOL claims he has the stamina of a tiger as Fulham prepare for their 21st game of a testing season.

Fulham have won only one Premier League game, which worries Jol, but he has a huge appetite to put things right, beginning with the visit of Everton to Craven Cottage tomorrow.

That comes just days after Fulham's Europa League nightmare against Wisla Krakow where they had Mousa Dembele sent off and lost 1-0.

Jol said: "Playing so many games is a mental thing. We got back from Poland at three in the morning and then I'm up at eight. You have to be like a tiger; fortunately, I feel like a tiger."

Jol also bared his teeth at players who simulate injury and said he would be in favour of UEFA taking retrospective action against play-acting. His comments were sparked by the dismissal of Dembele after the theatrics of Wisla Krakow's Gervasio Nunez helped get the Fulham man sent off.

Jol said: "This incident was maybe cynical. Nunez is from South America and they have a different mentality – they feel it is for the team if they do that.

"Everyone has seen that he was not pushed in the face."

Bobby Zamora should return to the side after being rested against Krakow alongside in-form Andy Johnson, who will be looking to prove a point to his former club.

The striker quit Goodison Park in a £10.5 million deal in 2008.

Johnson's family has its roots in Poland.

He said: "It was nice to go back to Poland but the result did sour it for me. All my family, my mum's dad, were from Poland.

"It's a great country, but a disappointing decision from the referee spoiled the game for me."

Mr Fulham

ok...let's hope that he has not only the stamina, but also the eye of a tiger..... :hook:
