Bugger. I'd love to go to this, but I'm going skiing that day!
Where in the world do you ski in England? You have to be going to another country right.

I've skiid (spelling?) in Manchester. There's an indoor slope near the Trafford Centre.
"Do not affix anything to this wall" - sign that was affixed to wall above turnstiles at Hammy end before someone with a clipboard replaced it with a large Fire Exit sign.

Wow, ok. How big is the place? England doesn't have any out door ski resorts do they?

Not sure you're right about that Don. Scotland has some, but I don't think we have any.

As for the one in Manc Land:

I'd forgotten all about that one. I think it shut some years ago though after a fire. Now that's irony.

Shut years ago mate, its actually in Uxbridge. QPR were rumoured to be sniffing around there a few years back for a potential site for a new ground.

Exactly! I promised some guys from my local a pint each if they came with us. ;)

There is a dry ski slope just down the road from me at Sandown Park.

And also at Crystal Palace (the place rather than the football club) - although it is many moons since I have been there so that one may have closed down by now.

dont stand me down

Myself and 3 others on the 11.20,just hope sky don't move the bloody game now.

MJG

I'm not going but you all know its on ESPN at 5:30 don't you?

Alternative

I wanted to go when it was at 3 o'clock. Change for TV was on the cards though.

Would not fancy a coach back after the game.

All it needs now is engineering works on the railway or heavy snow and there will be additional misery.

YUp, confirmed as 5.30 kick off on the offal, makes it a bit of a sterner test of drinking prowess is all.
