Would you take a chance on 1/2 price Fernando Torres?

I know FFC can't afford his wages (150K per week) or would ever splash out the 20 million Euros it's reported he could go for in January, but would you take a chance on this striker that has lost his way to the goal?

Tom

Fulham for life!

Horse

If they offload him for 20mil to some European team and he regains his goal scoring form I think that will be the greatest thing ever.

Never rated him as much as other people. He had a real purple patch when he came to England but apart from that he's had injurys and when he's played not really shown even a glimmer of being a top player.

...he certainly appears to be a rich man's 'folly' at the moment. However, he does have youth on his side and may yet become a
prolific goalscorer, but that won't happen until whatever demons are in his head have been exorcised.

Berbatov though, now that is different...

We can wish, but those two are more likely to end up with Eto'o in Kashacheckistan before they hit Fulham

Torrres would never come to Fulham even if we could afford the fee we couldnt afford his wages.

Wherever he does go, it should be remembered that he is still a class striker, and personally think he would thrive in a team that play with two out and out pacy wingers who just deliver early balls into the box. Chelsea signed him, but their style of play does not suit a forward like Torrres and so he has had a massive loss of confidence. The things is that Chelsea have wasted him really cos you don't spend £50 million on a player and then not build a side around him!!

When he does leave Chelsea, can't see it being to another English club unless they do some sort of swap deal with Spurs for Modric.

He is a class act with a screwed up head in a team going through a lot of change.

I would have him like a shot. But it will never happen.

The Bronsons

At the moment, no, because he wouldn't stay and wouldn't want to play for us, plus he seems a bit petulant and has a doubtful attitude even at that "big" club down the road.

When he gets to about 30 and is let go on a free by some European side, then maybe he could do a good job for us if he wanted to play, and prove people wrong.
