Chris Baird deserves his chance

Am really pleased for him he has always tried his best and has never let us down he started a bit dodgy at right back but that is not his poition for me he is a very decent centre half but he can play in centre midfield aswell has great vision and will always put a tackle in. How long is he contracted for? I hope we tie him down for another few years great player to have in your squad

People forget that on THAT night v Juventus Baird played centre midfield and was outstanding.  Not sure why Roy didn't stick with him there after that.  You are right, he does deserve it but more importantly he is more than good enough.

My feeling is that he is just regarded as a squad player by almost everyone, but when he starts he is always pretty boss, being a master of all trades I think has been to his detriment. There is no reason why he cant be starting for us if he is playing like he did last weekend, whether people, including myself stop looking him as a secondary option remains to be seen. I think we will get a few answers tonight/during diarra's absence here is hoping they are awesome ones!
